《SECOND TRIAL | tk | ✓》48. TANGENT

jungkooks steps were unsteady as his boots sound echoed through the corridors of jeon mansion; not even an ounce drunk on alcohol, at the same time hazy as if he is drowned in the same.
jungkook has lost his suit coat somewhere on the corridor, the constrictions suddenly suffocating as he bounded into the elevator, head leaned on the cold metal interior as it rode up.
just as the claustrophobia was about to kick in, the elevator door opened revealing him to the floor that permeated scents of him and taehyung that he somewhere had started to associate with home.
taehyung- just at the taste of that name his mind forges pictures, visions of taehyung aiming a gun at his father and the sounds of gunshots that are all too familiar for him.
jungkook staggered forward, his steps weighed down, dragging yet moving fierce as he pulled open the door with a force that rattles the knob onto the wall.
it didn't take long for his strides to take him to the bedroom where he almost always finds taehyung in and this time too the omega was there staring out through the window as if trying to find something through the rows of trees.
at the sound of the door opening taehyung had turned his head, the sleeves of one of jungkooks shirt that adorned on him slipping down till the ends covered the tips of his fingers and the length shying below the hem of his shorts as well as the bracelet.
taehyungs face was for once relaxed, probably serene, so transfixed watching the sway of a gentle breeze; but after the many months he lived with the alpha it was quick for him to notice even the very slight changes of demeanor.
once jungkook was fully inside the room did the omega get a full view of the other, besides the scents emitting was enough to give off warning bells;
but taehyung has never, not even the days he was slapped and fucked mercilessly did ever see such an anger on the alpha.

jungkooks face was so impassive, eyes not even blinking as he met taehyungs wide stare and he moved forward, taehyungs breathing picking up involuntarily with every steps from where he sat,
"jungkook?" taehyung tentatively whispered.
it was as if a dam broke within jungkook, as if all the force came crashing down then; taehyung visibly saw the tremor that coursed through jungkook, saw the veins straining and the eyes blinking red and taehyung let out a scream when a table lamp that sat a hands length from jungkook ended up bursting to shards on the wall mere centimeters from the omegas head.
taehyung cowered, hands instinctively over his ears as he watched in horror as jungkook teared down the contents of the table, from the bottles that fell down on the floor to the pillow that ended up in a feathery mess.
the pieces of a glass jar splintered with a shrill noise and them splashed everywhere and taehyung slid down to the floor, back against the wall as he closed his eyes and shrank on his himself.
taehyungs laptop met the wall next, the screen cracking before it gave under the gravity, then the cupboard mirror, the heavy curtains tore under the alphas snarl until jungkook has nothing more to break.
taehyungs fearful whimper was what made the alpha focus on him again where he is curled on the floor against the wall.
jungkook pulled away the table that was obscuring the omegas frame and the heavy wood screeched uncomfortably against the floor and jungkook crouched down, knees meeting the glass shards as it pierced in through the material of his jeans-
but when the heart hurts bad and the lungs are crying for a breath, no physical pain is noticeable.
taehyung didn't dare look up or unfold himself even when he felt the alphas body heat near and his souring scent enveloping him.
"p-please stop--" the omega quivered.
taehyung was nothing new to jungkooks mood swings, the alpha almost every day carried a new personality. but times like these they still scare him to the bones, because before he never cared but now he's carrying two precious lives that he'd die to protect.

jungkooks angry rumbles were evident as his face got closer, suddenly a rough hand that gripped taehyungs jaw brought his face up from where its cowering, to meet those blazing red eyes that had his omega wanting to bare its neck and run for its life at the same time.
when jungkooks hand formed into a fist and aimed for his face, taehyung screwed his eyes shut, whimpering in distress,
but those fists never hit him but went straight to taehyungs left side hitting the wall.
jungkook didnt stop there, his fist collided with the wall again and again and again, the vibrations of it felt through taehyungs body as jungkook seemed to take out all his anger there.
tears leaked from taehyungs eyes and he sniffed, face still inches away from jungkook whose eyes never left him.
soon red splotches born on the wall as well as slight paint cracks and jungkook slowly slumped forward until taehyung is squished between the jungkook and the wall.
jungkooks punches lost its vigor but the alpha didn't stop until his energy and adrenaline is drained, whilst the hand cupping taehyungs jaw eased, instead traveling down to were the bump is.
they were kicking, jungkook could feel it against his abdomen.
"be gentle-- please be gentle" taehyung murmured, still trembling in fear as jungkooks hand dissappeared under the shirt and met were the skin is stretched around a little feet.
"t-thats baby A-- he kicks whenever 'm distressed" the omega sniffles and jungkook stops his punching, bloodied knuckles staining taehyungs shirt, in favor of breathing in rhythm to the little kicks he could feel against his palm.
jungkook leaned and leaned until his head was now supported on taehyungs shoulder, nosing along the jaw to find the sweet scents underneath the distress, feeling the kicks of his pups or the thigh bracelet that glimmered in his periphery- just anything, anything to stop himself from hurting taehyung or his pups.
at that moment jungkook wished he could cry, maybe let out a few tears, but its been too long jungkook thinks he forgot how to cry? instead there is this grief and sorrow so big he had to scream and break a room to finally breathe again.
atleast, for now he has a shoulder to lean on.
"are you hurt?" jungkooks voice, gruff and strained murmured against taehyungs shoulder.
"--no" taehyung hummed as he stared ahead at the demolished room, tear tracks drying on his face.
there was a silence.
"one of these days you will take me to an early labor" taehyung then grumbled as the kicks of the pups finally eased and jungkook no more smelled angry.

kyungjae laughed onto his phone reciprocating the rejoiced voices from other side of the call.
"oh i'm sure this will work, kim. you're clever to hide this for this long" kangs voice came through as well as ayami's snickers.
"honestly i hope jungkook killed that bitch by now" she spits, twirling her hair and smirking.
"yes. this one wouldn't fail" kim supplies, smug.
even after there little tricks before, like the female alpha who tried to poison taehyung at the jeon party and many more, this revelation might have been more than enough for jungkook to finally decide to get rid of the pups and taehyung.
kim kyungjae dreams of jeons face when the pups are no more and the contract crumbles,
kang dreams of the jeon empire he gets to rule soon,
and ayami dreams of having jungkook and starlight all to herself to enjoy.
just many lives that moved towards the wrong tangent.

Myth of The World's Trees
And Simon answered their call with a single statement that nobody understood "Et super mos absit hoc hodie!" "Yah!" "WWWaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" "AAAlllllaaaaallllaaaaallllaaaa!" "EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels.
