《SECOND TRIAL | tk | ✓》47. TRUTH

if one goes down the lineage of blood and murder and the mafia rulers of korea, no one can find the jeons there.

instead it was the ring of the kims.

the kims were in the business for decades, probably a century- the empire being handed over to their alpha sons and daughters, basically no hard work or perseverance,

instead spolied brats born onto riches and splurge the same while standing on pools of innocent blood.

and that was when the jeons came in.

the master jeon- a boy who lived among the garbage bins and then turned into a man who built the entire jeon jopok through his cunning mind and intelligent brain- an empire that grew so big enough to overthrow the kims and rise to the top.

the master jeon however was as human as he was a monster; he fell in love with a waitress like the good old films and had two beautiful baby boys and life was good, if not the best for him.

but it wasn't all perfect because there was only so much violence a mere man from humble beginnings can take.

and one grey day, the master jeon and his beloved wife had dissappeared without a trace.

there were many theories and even more assumptions on what had happened to them, but the empire soon found its footing under the fierce stare of the eldest jeon and people soon ovecame the past.

but there are still some who are stuck there in the past.

just two precisely,

the two jeon sons.

no matter how much they say to themselves that it doesn't matter, it was just a lie they told themselves to survive the abrupt transition from the once carefree boys to handling the weight of an empire, blood and murder on their very shoulders the next day.

maybe thats why they went out looking for answers.

just to quench the curiosity of their heart and grieve; both the death of their father and a mother they lost.

and that exactly could be the reason why jungkook had his trusted men go after answers; to start off from where seokjin left.

oh and he isn't even surprised with the answers he got.

who wouldn't have had a hand in it, if not for their biggest enemies?

anger like hot fire seered in his veins as soon as he got the call from his men, and anger does make you do irrational things;

like barging into the kim mansion gates or more like smashing his mercedes into the iron gates of kim mansion with no care for anything.

kim men with their guns out had rushed out from every possible doors at the commotions including the one and only kim kyungjae, whose furrowed eyebrows turned to a lazy smirk at the sight of the snarling jeon alpha.

"well well, isn't that my dear son in law-" the man drawled as jungkook stalked forward, fisting kyungjae by the collars with eyes flashing red.

the kim mafia leader was unbothered as ever, waving off his men who had started to move forward to help him.

"why don't we move this to my office and talk like civil men, jeon?" the man smirked and a rational part of jungkook knew him acting out of control isn't the best option right now.

afterall, he has a lot more to find out.

it was his first time inside the kim mansion- it dripping with grandeur from the high chandliers to the woodcarvings, as much showy as it gets.

"you know why i am here, kim" jungkooks voice was laced with venom, it only seemed to amuse his spectator.

"hm- i can think of a few things that i have did that can make you growling like a pup. so be specific, jeon" kyungjae remarked.

"what had happened to my parents?!" a poor chair that flew to hit the wall was the victim of jungkooks anger.

kyunjae seems momentarily surprised by it, gears visibly turns inside his head as the old man took a seat on the plush chair.

"its been too long- hm i have been starting to think you didn't care--" the gruff voice said, "--even after your brother did a little snooping" the kim leader smirked.

"stop the riddles, kim" jungkook tugged down his own tie loose, its either because of impatience or the anxiety creeping; there isn't probably anything he wanted to know in his life more than this.

when the smile on kim kyungjae's face shifts, its like the man looks more old with wrinkle lines that defines the darkness in his eyes.

it was like a walk down the memory lane after, back to almost two decades.

the hatred in kyungjae's face was visible; of the disappointment, jealousy and hatred he once faced when a nobody overthrew his rule, of having his business leech off between his fingers, failed agreements and his head that never bowed was left drooping infront of the jeon.

"your father was a clever man, but he did the mistake of biting more than he can chew" kyungjae started.

first it was the chois , then the parks and the kwongs; too many enemies and bit too much arrogance.

enemies enemy is your friend- so that odd group of friend with a slash of trickery and forging- it was only a matter of years before they had the master jeon trapped under their feet.

"poor man was too busy trying to get his wife safe-- when we had him, he didn't even had a gun on him" kyungjae laughed mocking.

even if how well jungkook tried to hide his tremble, kyungjae saw it in the bob of the others adams apple and the sweat building on jungkooks stoic face.

"it was the most fun i ever had, you know?" the old alpha laughed in amusement, "i had your appa in a little basement with no food and good old torture for weeks"

jungkook growled with heaving breathes, stalking forward, hauling kyungjae from the chair by the collar and pushed the other onto the wall by neck.

"come on, kid. i haven't even reached to the best part, yet" kyungjae's voice was strained because of the warning hand around his neck, but the mans face held so much excitement like a psychopath that is waiting to savor his reward.

"let me ask you, jeon- have my omega son ever told you about his first and only kill?"

--"were you scared, pup?"

"i just killed someone right infront of you."

" 's ok. i have killed people too"--

jungkook remembers.

"the hitman who killed his mother?" jungkook says.

kyungjae then started laughing, hysterical and wicked, so much that jungkooks hand faltered around the others neck.

"my my that dumb little omega" kyungjae smiled sinister before meeting jungkooks eyes.

"wanna know how i killed your father?"

jungkooks eyes trembled.

"had him tied helpless on a chair-- dripping blood all over the floor" kyungjae says, reliving the memory of the mighty jeon looking so haggard at the brim of his death.

"then called down my taehyungie" kim remembers the lanky teenager omega coming down the stairs on his wobbly legs.

"just had to tell a small lie" maybe it was more than that; a bit of screaming and a slap at the end of which taehyung was trembling with tears and snot on his face.

"well, your father wasn't a hitman, but his men had killed taehyungs mother over a delayed shipment of mine. so its debatable--" kyungjae shrugs.

"what?" jungkooks sounded suffocated.

"still cant connect the dots, jeon?" kyunjae tuts,

"i had taehyung shoot your father"

afterall what better way to kill an alpha that ruled over everyone than this? being killed by a measly little omega. whats more humiliating than that?

jungkook stood frozen.

"you should be proud, jeon", the kim starts, "not everyone gets to marry and expect pups with his own fathers murderer" kyungjae laughs outright.

for the brief seconds jungkook stood unresponsive, his demeanor changed to that of anger that seared a hundred times more soon; scent laced with grief, sorrow and disappointment as he hauled himself forward and punched kyunjae with all his force.

kyunjae fell back onto the floor clutching his face.

"you-- you knew and still arranged the contract" jungkook screamed at the others face landing another punch,

and soon guards were filtering into the room alerted by the sounds and managed to get jungkook off of their leader.

even if kyungjae was clutching his bloodied nose, it seems nothing can wipe off the smugness off his face.

"if i've told all this before-- where is the fun in that, jeon?"

"I will rip your head off-- you-" jungkook snarled, the guards straining to hold the alpha down.

"now now jeon. you know better than to try anything now" the kim leader leans on the table and watches.

while the contract is still standing and moreover jungkook now all alone in the kims mansion, a kill wasn't clever .

and likewise, multiple guards had dragged jungkook outside the doors to where his mercedes, now adorning many scratches is parked.

hundreds of kim men stood guarding at the front as kyungjae watched with satisfaction of how jungkook burned in unsuppressed anger and more of the pain that the alpha is failing to hide.

what more satisfying than seeing a jeon look so hurt?

jungkook had no option but to drive away from there; he felt like defeated, so lost, like a wolf running away from his enemy.

and as jungkooks path lead to the jeon mansion, the alpha can only see one vision in his blazing red eyes;

of taehyung,

no! his fathers murderer.
