《Myungjin - I Fell For You~》[Chapter 6 - It's My Treat]

Myungjun woke up to the sound of his preset alarm. He didn't remember when he had fallen asleep as he was refreshing his email multiple times, hoping to get a message about his job interview.

Once he was aware of his surroundings, Myungjun lazily reached for his phone and checked for any new messages. Unfortunately, there were none still. Disappointed, he got out of bed to freshen up. As he brushed his teeth, he heard his phone notification go off.

Myungjun ran to his phone with his toothbrush in his mouth and unlocked it, to only find that he just got an email about a weight loss program.

"Stupid Adverts", he muttered as he threw his phone on his bed and returned to brushing his teeth.

Once he got his usual bowl of cereal out, Myungjun decided to scroll through his social media feed. An hour had already gone by. No email. Nothing.

Frustrated, he left his dirty dishes in the sink and decided to organise his work desk.

'Why am I freaking out about receiving an email? I don't even know if I'll get the job', he thought as he threw away some old draft paper that he no longer needed.

The time seemed to pass by so slowly with no reply from the company as of so far. Once Myungjun had cleaned his desk, he decided to rest a bit and sat down in front of the TV. After scrolling through the repetitive 'Home Shopping' stations, he decided to leave a news channel on.

Myungjun never really watched TV. To be very honest, he just kept it on as background noise so he didn't feel so lonely by himself in his apartment. Without realising, he had fallen asleep on his sofa to only be awoken by his phone notification.

Still half asleep, Myungjun rushed to open his email app to find two emails from 'Crystal Corporation'. His hands were shaking with excitement as he worriedly opened the first message.

It was 5:30 pm when Jinwoo got a call. He was on his way back to the company after attending a meeting. Both Secretary Lee and Jinwoo were sitting in the back while their private company chauffer was driving.

Jinwoo took out his phone to see it was a call from Myungjun. He was smiling to himself because he knew that Myungjun was going give him the good news about getting the job.

Secretary Lee was curious as to why that caller was able to put such a smile on Mr. Jinwoo's face, however he chose to not ask.

Jinwoo answered the phone.

[Conversation Key: Left is Jinwoo while right is Myungjun]

"Hello?"

"Hello Jinwoo!"

"You sound very happy. What's up?"

"I got the job! I'm so happy. I just can't believe it."

"I told you I had a good feeling. Guess I'll be keeping my promise then. When do you want it?"

"Haha you don't have to. I should be treating you to be honest."

"No it's okay. Why don't you treat me next time?"

"Okay. If you insist. Which night are you free to treat me then?"

"Tonight? Whenever you want."

"How about tonight then?"

"Sure. No worries. I'll text you the details."

"Oh okay, thanks."

"Yep. Hey I gotta go now but see you soon."

"Yeah. See you soon!"

"

Bye."

"Bye Jinwoo."

Jinwoo hung up the phone to see that they have already arrived at the company carpark. They both got out and entered the elevator.

Secretary Lee couldn't help himself but ask

"Sir?"

"Yes?"

"Are you going to tr-treat your partner?"

Jinwoo found himself getting flustered at Secretary Lee's such direct question.

"Look Lee, I'm just meeting a friend of mine."

"Oh. My apologies Sir."

"Hmm."

The elevator doors open and Jinwoo returns to his office while Secretary Lee goes to carry out a task.

After sitting down in his chair, Jinwoo searches up his favourite restaurant. The very restaurant from where he first saw Myungjun.

-----------------------------------------------------------

It was 7:12pm when Myungjun received a text message from Jinwoo. It had the restaurant location and the time of their booking. Myungjun became surprised at the fact that Jinwoo had to book their seats. Surely you are able to go to a restaurant and just sit and order, right?

Myungjun hasn't been to restaurants that Jinwoo is used to. The only height of his restaurant experience was Nandos.

Since the arrival time at the restaurant was at 8:15 pm, Myungjun decided to pick out his outfit to wear. After approximately 15 minutes, he ended up wearing a pair of black ripped jeans with a denim shirt along with the only wristwatch he owned. Once he was ready, Myungjun watched some TV until it was 7:58 pm. Seeing the time, Myungjun messaged Jinwoo saying he's leaving the house and left his apartment in his car.

Jinwoo had finished work at 7 pm and went straight home after messaging Myungjun the restaurant details. He went to his walk-in wardrobe and pondered on what to wear.

Jinwoo usually liked to leave a good impression on people, but with Myungjun, he wanted to leave the best impression he could.

After 30 mins of choosing and changing outfits, he finally decided to go casual but classy. Jinwoo wore a pair of grey washed denim jeans with a black shirt and a leather jacket.

As he looked at the time, it was 8:02 pm. He rushed to his phone to see a text from Myungjun saying he already left his house.

'Oh no, this is bad', Jinwoo muttered under his breath.

The last thing he wanted to do was to keep Myungjun waiting.

As fast as he could, Jinwoo put his phone in his pocket, grabbed his car keys and left the penthouse.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Luckily for Jinwoo, he arrived a minute earlier than Myungjun. Once they saw each other they waved and walked to the restaurant.

Jinwoo stepped forward to the restaurant booth where customers with bookings go to and opened up the restaurant phone app to show his table for two booking at 8:15 pm.

First of all, Myungjun was surprised at the interior of the restaurant. It looked like a really expensive hotel. Secondly, the restaurant had it's own app and was so advanced in it's customer service.

While he was busy being stunned by the restaurant, Jinwoo let a smile escape his mouth as he saw Myungjun's expression. He silently ticked off the 'impressing Myugjun box' in his head.

Once they both made their way to their seats, a female waitress handed them the menu book and left.

"Pick whatever you want. It's my treat."

Myungjun's eyes turned wide as he saw the prices for all the dishes.

"Jinwoo", Myungjun whispered.

"Yeah?"

"What kind of restaurant is this? Everything is so expensive! How am I supposed to pick a dish?"

Jinwoo let out a smile. He guessed that Myungjun doesn't eat at such expensive restaurants.

"It's okay Myungjun. Pick anything you like. Don't feel burdened".

"How do you expect me to pick from a menu where everything is priced from $40 and up", Myungjun muttered under his breath.

Once they had selected their orders, Jinwoo ushered a waiter who noted down their choices. Myungjun ordered a chicken lasagne while Jinwoo picked a salmon dish.

While they waited for their orders, Jinwoo asked Myungjun about his works and where his interest in designing came from. They chatted away, making time fly. Myungjun asked Jinwoo what his original dream was when he was younger.

Jinwoo let out a half-hearted smile and said,

"I wanted to be an artist."

Myungjun eyes widened at Jinwoo's words.

"What happened? Why didn't you pursue it?"

Jinwoo sighed at his question. He wanted to be an artist ever since he was young. The only thing that held him back was his ability to be good at it.

"No matter how hard I tried, I was just not good enough. In the end, I gave up on myself and decided to pursue business instead."

Myungjun felt his heart break a little. He loved being the artist/designer that he was but, to hear that Jinwoo gave up on his passion made him want to help him.

"If you're free after dinner, why don't you come over to my place and I could show you some of my work. I could even teach you the basics sometime until you get the hang of it. What do you reckon?"

A smile became plastered on Jinwoo's lips. Myungjun was willing to make time for him to teach him. Jinwoo loved to do art but he only did it by himself. No one really showed any interest in helping him.

"You would really do that for me?"

"Of course! I hate the fact that you gave up though. Let me be your second chance."

Soon enough their orders arrived. They ate comfortably whilst sharing embarrassing stories of their childhood. Both males were just having a great time in each other's company.

Little did they know that this was the start of something rather dangerous.
