《Fairy Tail's Demon God》Chapter 9: The Desirable Lillian

Ryuga walked out of the guildhall into the middle street of Magnolia. He looked around and saw that Magnolia looked like a warzone. Distant sounds of thunder and swords were heard coming from the cathedral, but he was more concerned about the Thunder Palace. The lacrimas numbered over 200, and they were outlining the city. Every single one had enough lightning in it to potentially kill a human. Ryuga slowly ascended from off the ground as the citizens on Magnolia watched. Four horns, four wings, and a black tail emerged from his body. Ryuga was hovering above the town, far away from the nearest ground. His eyes shined brightly as he lifted his hands. He closed his eyes and took a breath.
Ryuga: "."
Purple flames erupted out of the ground, right below the lacrimas, and all 200+ were destroyed in an instant. Lightning rained down on Ryuga, blinding some of the residents of the town and distracting the Fairy Tail members and Laxus. 200+ billion volts coursed through Ryuga's body, causing his eyes and mouth to start bleeding. He slowly fell to the ground in a cloud of smoke.
Erza, in a state of shock and rage, summoned 300 swords and took aim at Laxus. Natsu and Gajeel filled up their lungs, and the rest of the Fairy Tail members gathered up their strongest attack. Laxus looked in disbelief at the mass of energy coming towards him. It connected, and Laxus was sent into a state of coma, with multiple broken bones. As soon as they saw that they won, the members ran to Ryuga.
Within the smoke, Ryuga was laying on his back, groaning like a castrated pig.
Ryuga: "Ah.. Ow, Ah, that, ah.. That hurt. Yep, th-AH! I'm gonna be sore-ow, for a few d-ow-ays." He tried to get up, but fell right back down. "Okay! Can't move. Nope, that's a no go. Owh.. Ah, ah, y-ah.. This hurts. Holy.. Okay, this actually hurts... fuck."
He heard many footsteps approaching, and through the smoke, ran the members of Fairy Tail. Erza and Mirajane cried onto his chest, which made him cry out in pain even more.
Ryuga: "Ow sto-STOP!" The girls quickly got off.
Mirajane: "Sorry!"
Erza: "Sorry, Ryuga."
Ryuga: "Yeah, Oww... How's Laxus, did you win?"
Natsu ran up and pat Ryuga's shoulder, harder than he meant to.
Natsu: "Hell yeah! You should have seen everyone. We all unleashed this huge attack and then-."
Lucy: "Natsu, he's asleep."
They looked down at the sleeping demon, who had a small smile on his face, and everyone smiled. They decided to take him and Laxus into the infirmary and lay them down.
Ryuga woke up to find himself staring at the ceiling of the infirmary and heard squirming next to him.
Ryuga: "Laxus, that you?"
Laxus: "... Yeah."
They were laying down next to each other, in separate beds, of course. Ryuga and Laxus were both wrapped up, with Laxus looking more injured than Ryuga.
Ryuga: "So, did you get your ass beat?"
Laxus: "Yeah... you?"
Ryuga: "Same... It hurt.. a lot."
Laxus: "Well, each lacrima has the power of an actual lightning bolt, so yeah, it would hurt. I'm surprised you're alive."
Ryuga: "I'm surprised you're alive after taking the members of Fairy Tail's attack."
Laxus: "So am I."
Ryuga: "Well, are you satisfied now?"
Laxus: "... I guess."
Ryuga: "So a near-death experience is all you needed to change your mind. I should have done it sooner than."

They both chuckled and tried to get up, but fell back down, again.
Laxus: "Ow.."
Ryuga: "Yeah. Do you know how long we've been out?"
Laxus: "No clue."
Ryuga: "Damn, I seriously hurt everywhere."
Laxus: "Join the party."
Ryuga: "Hey man, you're the one that started it."
Laxus: "Yeah.. Sorry."
Ryuga: "Just don't do it again, or I'll seriously kill you."
Laxus: "Got it."
After he said that, Makarov walked in and took a seat across from them. He crossed his arms and sighed heavily.
Laxus: "Save your breath, gramps. I already know what's going to happen. I'll leave tonight."
Makarov: "Good. You're not allowed back in Fairy Tail until either I or Ryuga say so."
Ryuga: "Wait, what?"
Makarov: "Because after I leave, you'll most likely become the next master."
Ryuga: "Wait, Wait. I never agreed to this. Can't you get Gildarts to do it?"
Makarov: "We never know when he's coming back."
Ryuga: "Even then. You're not thinking of retiring yet, are you?"
Makarov: *sighs* "I'm getting old."
Ryuga: "And I'm not? I'm even older than you, old man!"
Makarov: "Okay! Okay, I got it. Anyway, do you understand, Laxus?"
Laxus: "Yeah..." Ryuga looked over at Laxus.
Ryuga: "If we ever need help, I expect you to come at my call."
Laxus: "Sure, I'll be there, no matter what."
Ryuga: "Good, well then, I'm getting some more sleep."
He closed his eyes and tried to get some sleep, but before he could, the door burst open.
The members were drinking, eating, and celebrating their victory, and Erza was crowned as the winner of the Miss Fairy Tail contest. Erza, Mirajane, Lucy, and Cana were sitting at a table, talking about the day, when Cana brought up dating.
Cana: "So, Lucy, have you ever dated anyone before?"
Lucy: "Wha? No!" She blushed beet red.
Cana: "Hmm, so you're pretty innocent huh? You've never even done that with a guy?"
Lucy: "No! Have you?!?"
Cana: "A couple of times."
Lucy: "No way! And you?"
She looked over to Erza, who shook her head. Lucy then looked to Mirajane who tried to hide her blushing face.
Lucy: "Mira!?"
Erza: "Wait, really!?"
Mirajane: "Well... just once."
Cana: "Oh? With who?"
Mirajane: "Ry-"
She was cut off by the sound of the guild doors abruptly being opened. In walked a silver-haired beauty with blood-red eyes. Many of the male members blushed at her luscious frame, which could put even Lucy's to shame. She wore a long, black dress, held up by nothing but spaghetti straps. The dress hugged her body, allowing the members' imagination to run wild. She looked around for a few seconds before her eyes met Mirajane's. The mysterious lady started to walk over to her, with her black high-heels audibly amplifying her steps. Everyone watched her with either amazement or suspicion as she walked to Mirajane, but none spoke. When she got within arm's reach of Mirajane, she spoke.
???: "You. The scent of him is the strongest on you. Where's Ryuga?"
Mirajane: "You know Ryu-?"
???: "Nevermind, found him."
She looked towards the infirmary door and licked her lips. When she got close to the door, she kicked it open, scaring the patients inside. The guild members hurriedly tried to peak in, and the mysterious lady ran up to Ryuga. When Ryuga saw her, his eyes enlarged. The lady entangled Ryuga in her arms, squeezing him as hard as she could. Mirajane looked a little depressed seeing this, and Ryuga let out groans of pain.

Ryuga: "Aunt Lillian, you're literally squeezing me to death."
Lillian: "Oh!" She quickly let go. "I'm sorry!"
Mirajane: "Aunt?"
Lillian turned around and smiled largely at the members of Fairy Tail.
Lillian: "Sorry that I didn't address myself earlier. I'm Lillian, Ryuga's aunt!"
Mirajane: "That makes me feel better."
Lillian: "Hmm?"
She carried an innocent smile, and Erza quickly looked to Mirajane.
Erza: "Wait... by chance, the one you were about to say.." She looked at Ryuga, then Mirajane, and blushed.
Mirajane: "Yeah..." Lucy overheard and almost yelled
Lucy: "No way!?"
Mirajane: "Well it was only once, and our first time."
Cana: "Wait, he was a virgin? No way!" She overheard also.
Lillian: "What are you ladies talking about?"
She had a creepy smile on her face, and Lucy almost peed herself.
Erza: "N-Nothing."
Lillian: "Is that so?"
Ryuga: "Aunt Lillian, you're scaring my guild members."
Lillian: "Oh deary me, that wasn't my intentions at all~"
Ryuga's mind: "I could practically smell the sarcasm on that one.."
Lillian: "More importantly, how did you end up like this?"
She leaned on Ryuga's bed, exposing her cleavage. Laxus and Makarov both got bloodshot eyes, almost instantly.
Ryuga: "Well this is what happens when you get hit by over 200 lightning bolts."
Lillian: ""
Lillian's aura was released, causing the entire town to shake. Laxus almost had tears in his eyes, but Ryuga calmed Lillian down.
Ryuga: "Now now, calm down. He's been dealt with."
He looked over to Laxus, and Lillian's eyes followed. Lillian then walked over to Laxus's bed. Laxus closed his eyes, waiting for impact, but felt a warm embrace instead.
Lillian: "My dear, were you also hurt because of it?"
Ryuga: "Uh yeah. He got caught up in the mess."
Lillian ended the hug and put both her hands on the boys' chest. A green light illuminated the room until slowly dimming down. Laxus quickly took off his bandages with amazement. It was as if his wounds never happened at all.
Laxus: "Amazing..."
Ryuga: "Isn't it? Aunt Lillian specializes in healing and recovery. She almost never fights, herself. Well, that doesn't mean she can't fight. She can hold herself pretty well in a battle."
Lillian: "Of course! I've been in countless battles!"
She patted her bicep, with a smile, and the guild was in awe at her power.
Ryuga: "Anyway, why did you come here?"
Lillian: "What? Can I not dote on my cute nephew?"
She hugged him again, to which he showed a deadpan face.
Ryuga: "It's not that. I just thought you'd have an actual reason."
Lillian: "Doting is always a reason! Besides that, it's time you get married."
All of the members in the room gasped, except Lillian and Ryuga. Ryuga stared at Lillian with a dangerous look in his eyes.
Lillian: "OKAY! Okay! I'm joking." The mood lightened. "Sheesh, you can't take a joke."
Ryuga: "I don't think that it's something to be joked about."
Lillian: "Yeah, well, you're getting older every day. Your father and I have people asking you to marry their daughters all the time. I swear, every week there's a new demon family I've never even heard of."
Ryuga: "I've rejected every proposal I've gotten." Mirajane smiled at this. "Those women are only in it for who I'm the son of, not who I am."
Lillian: "Don't be like that, there's plenty of good women back in the underworld."
The guild could only listen in on the two demon's argument, since no one dared to interrupt.
Ryuga: "I'm not saying there's not. I'm just saying that I'm not ready for that yet, and I won't be forced into it."
Lillian: "Your father and I would never force you into that. I just want you to be happy, my dear nephew. What about Aosoth? You've known her for a long time and you two get along well."
Ryuga: "First of all, I'm happy here. Second of all, has Aosoth, herself, asked you or father about marriage?"
Lillian: "No, but-"
Ryuga: "Then that's that. Besides, Aosoth is a good friend; however, I could never see her as a potential love interest."
Lillian: *sigh* "Very well, but you do know what will happen if you try to marry a human, right?"
Ryuga: "Of course, I'm aware of the consequences."
Lillian: "Good. So where will I be sleeping?"
Ryuga: "...What?"
Lillian: "Well, of course, I'm staying for a bit. I didn't just come here to say hello, after all. Why don't you show me your house. Oh! Or is it a mansion?"
Ryuga: "Do you know what an apartment is?"
Lillian: "Apa-What?"
Ryuga: "... It might be a bit smaller than what you're used to."
Lillian: "That's fine!"
Lillian: "SO SMALL!"
She, along with Ryuga, was standing in the middle of Ryuga's apartment. Lillian was frantically looking around and picking up the furniture with one hand, trying to find secret passageways but found nothing.
Ryuga: "Told you it was."
Lillian: "But I thought you'd at least have a divine-size bed."
Ryuga: "Yeah, well, this isn't the underworld. They don't even sell emperor and up sizes here."
Lillian: "No way!? How are we supposed to sleep in this tiny thing. I toss and turn way too much."
Ryuga: "Well, YOU are going to have the entire bed for yourself, while I sleep on the floor."
Lillian: "No way, I can't do that to you. You invited me here, after all."
Ryuga's mind: "You call forcing yourself in an invitation?"
Ryuga: "We can figure that out later. What do you want for dinner?"
Lillian: "Oh! Let me cook!" She ran over to the kitchen, looking for ingredients. "Where's your wicked tail or tangy tentacles?"
Ryuga: "Aunt Lillian, those aren't human food. I only have human food here."
Lillian: "What? Humans don't eat beasts' meat?"
Ryuga: "They do, but they don't have Lamias or Krakens in Earthland."
Lillian: "Really?! My nephew's so smart!"
Ryuga: "Right... How about I cook some eel with rice?"
Lillian: "Ooh, I love Devilish Eels."
Ryuga: "Well, it's going to be a little different from those, but I bet you'll like it."
Whilst he was cooking, Lillian kicked off her heels and jumped onto the bed. She rolled around it whilst making creepy sniffing noises, until letting out a "pwah" sound and stretching out on it. She then sat up and spoke to Ryuga.
Lillian: "So, who's that girl back at the guild?"
Ryuga: "Mirajane?" He talked while working with the pans.
Lillian: "I don't know her name. She had white hair."
Ryuga: "Yeah, that's Mirajane."
Lillian: "She seems like a good girl..."
Ryuga: "She is... why?"
Lillian: "Oh it's nothing. Just that I smell her scent on your bed." Ryuga froze. "Is there something you would like to tell your aunt?"
Ryuga: "We... only did it once."
Lillian: "So that's it, huh?"
Ryuga: "What? We just got caught up in the moment one night, okay?"
Lillian: "Well, it's about time you lost your virginity! Good job!"
Ryuga: "Huh?" He was beyond confused.
Lillian: "Almost every demon has done it by your age. I was even thinking about taking it myself if you were going to keep denying every woman you met."
Ryuga: "Please don't joke about something like that.."
Lillian: "Haha, don't worry! You know me well enough to know I wouldn't do that."
Ryuga: "It's precisely because I know you so well, that I'm worried. Anyways, dinner is ready."
He set the two plates on the table, and Lillian's body let out a deep purple mist until she was shown with a different, more casual outfit. They both sat down and ate. When Lillian took the food into her mouth, she squealed and rapidly stomped her feet, with a giant grin on her face. Ryuga chuckled and ate together with her.
After eating, Ryuga washed the dishes. They both got into the bed, but Ryuga put a pillow in between them.
Lillian: "Goodnight, dear nephew."
Ryuga: "Yeah. Goodnight, Aunt Lillian..." There was a short silence. "Please don't touch me in my sleep."
Lillian: "No promises~"

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
