"Welcome."
The female students that have opened the doors to music room three smiled in ecstasy at the host's greeting. The guests bustled into the clubroom as if they were a stampede, excitement and merriment evident on all of their faces as they accepted their scheduled appointments with their preferred members of the Host Club.
Regularly, after every school day, the music room was resonating words of exchange, giggles, and flirtatious compliments coming from the majority of members in the Host Club to their customers.
At Y/n's table there were two females conversing with the wavy haired girl. One of the girl's appearance exhibited curly locks of blond hair who also has enchanting emerald-green eyes, while the other girl has straight, long black hair and grey colored eyes.
"Is it discouraging that you can't be a hostess to any boys, Y/n?" The black haired student asked kindheartedly, gently placing her teacup back onto the table after sampling the instant coffee inside.
Y/n posed her index finger on her chin in a contemplative manner. "Well, I wouldn't exactly use the word 'discouraging', but it's a bit challenging repaying a debt through being a part of the Host Club. On some days I won't get any requests from guests, which I totally understand since there are seven attractive young men here, and that the ladies would much prefer talking to them over me." She elucidated, validating her sister as one of the seven male hosts so her actual gender remains confidential. "When I hosted male students I would basically do that everyday. But ever since Tamaki-Senpai forbade me from accepting appointments from boys, I now only entertain girls. Which I don't have an issue with since I get to keep you lovely ladies company." She displayed an inviting smile on her lips as she slightly tilted her head to the side.
A faint amount of blood rushed to the two guest's cheeks, making them a light shade of red. The two girls vaguely shimmied in their chairs as their fists rested above their chest. "Y/n is so sweet!" They admired.
"We will request you everyday from now on!" The emerald-green eyed female vowed zealously.
Y/n scratched the back of her head as she chuckled sheepishly. "That'll be wonderful, thank you. But I don't want to make it seem like I'm forcing you or anything."
Before the two customers could speak their dissent, the doors to the music room abruptly slammed open, making everyone's attention immediately turn towards the entrance of the room. At the doorway stood a group of four teenagers wearing Ouran Academy's high school uniforms, two of the individuals being male while the other two students were female.
"We need to see Y/n Fujioka!" One of the girls in the unforeseen group adjured, her straight, mocha-brown hair reached down to the middle of her back as her light cedar-brown eyes frantically scanned the room for the said female.
As murmurs ensued from all of the female customers, Kyoya approached the unpredicted group with his black notebook under his right arm. "I apologize, but Y/n is currently occupied with her two guests. She's also not allowed to receive male students as visitors, it's the King's guideline." The vice president of the Host Club enlightened precisely, his left hand resting on his hip.
"We're not here to make an appointment with her." The tall, ink-black haired male, who was a part of the group, began. "Please allow us to speak with her. It's an emergency." He bowed his upper body forward respectfully, making his stone-blue eyes no longer visible along with the birthmark he has on his left cheek.

Hikaru and Kaoru slid over to the group, standing in front of them with their hands on their hips as the ink-black haired male straightened his posture. "Mm, what kind of emergency? Sounds kind of sketchy." They commented warily.
"What do you need from Y/n-Chan?" Honey questioned as he approached the four figures, holding his stuffed bunny in his arms while Mori followed after him.
Tamaki was now standing with his companions in front of the four students, with the exclusion of Y/n and Haruhi.
"We just need to discuss something with her. Is she here today?" The girl who has matching ink-black hair as the tall male inquired. The tips of her hair grazing her shoulders as two small buns were styled on both sides on the top of her head, freckles going across her cheeks and nose. She has an identical birthmark on her left cheek as well as one on the side of her nose.
Y/n excused herself from her two customers as she got up from her chair, proceeding towards the conversation that was taking place near the doorway. "Yes, I'm here." She confirmed once she finished approaching them, Haruhi now making her way to them to stand beside her sister. "What can I do for you?"
"Please, we need your help!" The female with mocha-brown hair divulged in slight impulse. "We're doing a musical for our Glee Club and one of our actresses injured herself, making her unable to participate in the show."
"Her role in this musical is really important and we need to find a new person to take over her spot." The other male student indicated, his walnut-brown hair appearing to be a bit unkept as his tawny-brown eyes stared at Y/n.
"I didn't know there was a Glee Club at this school." Y/n uttered, causing her sister to nod her head in accord. 'And this situation is reminding me of when I was taken away without consent to a girls' academy for a production with Haruhi.' She thought in recollection, unnoticeable drops of sweat forming on her cheek as she referred to the White Lily League's assembly that one time in Lobelia Girls' Academy.
"Of course there is, Y/n-Chan." Honey-Senpai corroborated with a smile, releasing a brief, childlike giggle.
"You probably didn't know about it until now because it's an unpopular club. It's basically for losers." Hikaru shrugged his shoulders carelessly, but just ended up being ignored.
"Isn't there an understudy who can take the actresses part? I mean that's what an understudy is for, right? When the main actor that is playing a role suddenly is unable to do so the understudy performs instead." Haruhi interpreted, chiming into the conversation.
"Well..." The girl with mocha-brown hair began timidly as she fiddled with her fingers, avoiding eye contact with any members of the Host Club. "The problem is, um..."
"We don't have one." The ink-black haired male informed before the hesitant female could.
"How can you not have an understudy?" Hikaru quizzed in a deadpanned tone.
"We asked the second person who did fantastic in the audition, if she wanted to play the role she tried out for but she said that she didn't want to do it anymore!" The light cedar-brown eyed female explained as her panic increased. A pleading definition was exhibited in her eyes as she looked at Y/n. "Please accept this role. We need you!"
Y/n blinked a couple of times before addressing her small amount of confusion. "Wait, how would you know if I can sing or even act?"

"We saw the video of you singing in a talent show that was published onto the Host Club's website." The walnut-brown haired boy apprised. "You're a natural performer and your voice really suits this role."
"Please, we really need your help." The ink-black haired girl unfolded. "If we don't find someone else to cover the role then the musical will be canceled."
"Please Y/n Fujioka, please agree to participate as the role!" The mocha-brown haired female implored, bowing her upper body forward along with the three other individuals in her group.
Tamaki's eyes slightly widened once hearing about their settlement if they can't search for another person for the abandoned role. "I think it's a great idea! Y/n, you should be a part of this musical so these lovely, talented, hardworking Glee Club members won't have to cancel it. They are clearly looking forward to producing it and if they can't find someone for the role then it will be called off." His violet orbs suddenly sparkled as he clenched his fists confidently. "But if you agree to do this Y/n, you'll be able to save it!"
Y/n remained motionless, her brown eyes mildly wide. She had no information about the musical or what character they're asking her to do. "Um, before I say my answer, can I please know what musical this is and what role you want me to take over?" She inquired as the group of four uncoiled their stance.
"The musical is called 'Grease.' Have you heard of it?" The girl with mocha-brown hair asked.
"I've heard of it and I've seen a few clips from when my dad watched the movie, but I've never actually watched the whole thing." Y/n replied honestly.
"Well, there you have it." Kaoru started as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Looks like she can't be in your musical since she doesn't know it." Hikaru signified, copying his brother's pose.
"Now have a good day!" The twins said, pushing the group towards the doors of the music room.
"Hey! Wait a minute. Don't just shove them out." Y/n scolded the twins, halting their actions. She let out a sigh before turning her attention back to the four members of the Glee Club. "Sorry about that. What role is it that you want me to play?"
"Betty Rizzo." The group of four answered, making the hosts become soundless at the character's name.
"T-That's a...mature role." Tamaki gulped, his enthusiasm disappearing along with the glittering effect in his eyes.
Kyoya corrected his glasses that were positioned on his nose, his laptop now being present in his hands, the bright screen reflecting off his spectacles lenses. "Betty Rizzo, better known by her surname, Rizzo is one of the main characters in the movie Grease. She is the sarcastic leader of the Pink Ladies. She smokes, has a strong voice, and does not care what others think of her. She is the girlfriend of Kenickie Murdoch and Sandy Olsson's former frenemy." He recited from his laptop.
"We're not going to include the inappropriate scenes the character displays--we know that Fujioka is a minor." The ink-black haired male assured. "But there will be scenes containing drinking and smoking, but their not going to be real cigarettes and alcohol. So what do you say, Fujioka? Will you fulfill this role for our musical?"
Y/n looked at the four individuals standing in front of her before glancing at the male members of the Host Club. She directed her brown eyes to her sister, who showed a small smile and a limited nod of her head. Y/n stared back at the group of four students, a miniature tug occurring at the corners of her lips. "I'll do it."
"Yes! Thank you so much!" The mocha-brown haired girl expressed in relief and exhilaration, a toothy smile on her face. "Come on, we can't have a moment to lose!" She grabbed Y/n by her arm and dragged her out of the clubroom, leaving a swarm of dust behind.
"Woah, slow down! Wait, can you please tell me your names first?" Y/n managed to let out, now standing in the hallway, away from the music room as the three other members of the Glee Club caught up with the two females.
"Oh, sorry! I'm Ayumi Ito from class 2-B! I'm playing the role of Sandy Olsson in the musical." The enthusiastic mocha-brown haired girl introduced herself with a high-spirited smile. "And don't worry, I'm going to be wearing a blond wig to cover up my natural hair during the musical."
'I wasn't really worried, but okay...' Y/n thought, faintly sweat dropping at Ayumi's affirmation.
"I'm Kenji Nakamura from class 3-A. I have the role of Danny Zuko." The tall, ink-black haired male acquainted himself to the wavy haired female, a compact smile on his lips.
"I'm Emiko Nakamura from class 1-B." The girl with ink-black hair began with a small, friendly smile. "I'm Kenji's younger sister, and I'll be playing the character Frenchy."
"And I'm Daisuke Takahashi from class 2-A. I'm playing the role of Kenickie Murdoch." The boy who has walnut-brown colored hair presented with a amiable smile. "I hope we can become great friends, and partners in this musical."
"Well, it's nice to meet all of you." Y/n vocalized, returning a kindhearted smile of her own. "So, uh, what do we do?"
"Rehearse, of course!" Ayumi giggled and circled her arm through Y/n's right arm. "We need to get you a copy of the script. Since the musical starts in two weeks we have to practice, practice, practice!"
"Okay, well- Woah, woah, woah!" Y/n cut herself off as her eyes widened in revelation. "In two weeks?!"
"Oh, don't worry! There's only a handful of lines you need to memorize." Ayumi laughed sheepishly, waving her unoccupied hand reassuringly.
Y/n knew that was an untruthful notion. If the character she's going to play is one of the main characters in the film, then she'll have more than a small quantity of dialogue and songs to retain.
'Mom, if you're seeing this, please give me the strength and energy to do this.' Y/n mentally desired, already feeling exhausted just thinking about the script for the upcoming musical known as Grease.
"Don't think too much about it." Kenji eased, placing his hand on Y/n's shoulder as if he could sense her constructing tension. "We're here to help you and so are the others that are participating and assisting in the production."
Y/n looked up at the tall, third year male and showed a small nod of her head. "Thanks."
Ayumi smiled brightly and began to haul the wavy haired female down the corridors of Ouran Academy, the three individuals walking behind them. "Alright, what are we waiting for? Let's go to the auditorium!"

They'll need to depend on each other more than ever if they hope for their new home to have any kind of future. In case you missed it, here's book one. ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.

Cosmic Bulldozing Team
"Welcome to the Cosmic Bulldozing Team! CBT for short... references to any other acronyms are purely coincidental." Breve has one exceptional gift: an inborn potential for Resurrection magic. Unwillingly saved by the people who just annihilated everything Breve ever knew and loved, she’s dragged into a massive spaceship before, without a moment’s reprieve, being assigned missions to sally forth and commit the same atrocities on other planets. And with Breve's home lying in a pile of celestial bedrock, it seems that cooperating is the only option. And she will cooperate, or so help her, they'll send her back whence she came: into the void of space, where the smashed rubble of her planet now drifts along.
