《y/n fujioka ||haruhi fujioka's sister||》||50||

Y/n and Haruhi were presently walking into Ouran Academy for another day of school. The two sisters advanced down the halls, occasionally waving at girls who greeted them.
They entered class 1-A and approached their desks, the famed Hitachiin twins were nowhere in sight.
Once Y/n stepped in front of her desk to take a seat in her chair, she noticed a white envelope with her first and last name neatly written on it. She pulled her chair out from under her desk and sat down on it while picking up the random casing, curiosity discernible on her facial features.
Haruhi perceived the puzzlement on her sister's face and looked over her shoulder after she sat down on her chair. "Hm? What's that?" She chimed in questioningly.
Y/n shrugged, not removing her brown eyes from the envelope that rested in her hand. "I don't know. A letter, maybe?"
Haruhi hummed and cocked her head at the material in her sister's hand. "Open it."
The wavy haired female once again shrugged her shoulders with a nod of her head, carefully ripping open the seal with her thumb and taking out a piece of paper that was folded in half inside the envelope. Y/n's speculation was indeed correct once she unfolded the piece of paper and revealed the pleasant handwriting that was written on the lines of the notepaper.
Dear Y/n Fujioka,
Please meet me outside near the rose garden before club activities begin. I have something important that I really need to talk to you about.
I hope to see you there.
As Y/n scanned through the letter to herself, she heard a couple of footsteps coming into the classroom. She glanced up from the letter and saw Hikaru and Kaoru approaching their desks--which were located next to Y/n and Haruhi's desks. The brown haired, shoulder length girl quickly put the letter back in the envelope and shoved it in her school bag that was hanging on her desk so the twins wouldn't catch sight of it and question it.
"Why did you-"
Haruhi got cut off by the auburn haired twins greeting them with a closed eyed grin and a wave of either of their hands. "Good morning Haruhi and Y/n!"
"Oh..." Haruhi realized blankly, understanding why her sister hid the letter in such a hurry.
"Morning." The two Fujioka siblings addressed.
As the twins were taking their seats, the bell rang, signaling that class was about to start.
Their teacher walked into the classroom and stood in front of his students. "Good morning, class. We have a lot to do today so let's get started."
- - - -
The bell to the academy sounded, indicating that the classes were dismissed. Y/n got up from her chair and grabbed her school bag, the twins and her sister doing the same thing. As the twins and Haruhi exit the classroom to travel towards music room three, Y/n walked towards the direction of where the rose garden was installed.
"Huh? Where are you going, Y/n?" Kaoru asked as soon as he realized that she wasn't walking with them. He, Hikaru, and Haruhi stopped in their tracks to look back at her.
"You guys go on without me. I'll be there soon." Y/n assured, looking back at them before continuing her way outside.
The twins stared down at Haruhi with a suspicious look, but all they received was a shrug from the short haired girl.
As Y/n journeyed outside, she hauled out the envelope that held the letter inside from her school bag, reopening the sealing and taking out the letter.

'They didn't even sign their name.' Y/n pointed out guardedly.
She proceeded her way towards the rose garden. The closer she got to her destination, the more identifiable the boy who was standing there was.
"Um, hi." Y/n began as she paused in front of him, showing the piece of paper with the writing. "Are you the one who wrote me this letter?"
"Oh, uhm, yeah." The young man responded as he scratched the back of his neck. To be quite honest, he was rather appealing to the wavy haired girl. He has dark brown hair that brightened when the sun shines upon it and enchanting emerald-green eyes.
"I'm sorry, but what's your name?" Y/n questioned politely. "You didn't write it in the letter."
"My name's Souta Minato. I'm in class 2-A." He introduced himself with a small bow.
"Oh, so that means you're in Tamaki-Senpai and Kyoya-Senpai's class, right?" Y/n waited for confirmation with a small smile.
"Yes." He answered and looked at her with a crooked smile. "You hosted me three times before Suoh placed the rule of you no longer taking in male students."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, trying to remember the time she had him as her customer.
"You don't remember, do you?"
"Uh! No, no, it's not that!" She sweat dropped with a nervous smile. "I do remember. It's just been a while."
"Sorry for making you guys wait." Y/n lowered her head in a small bow, showing her two male guests a small, apologetic smile. She pulled the empty chair out from under the table and rested herself on it.
"It's alright, Y/n." One of the male students convinced with a small flush appearing on his cheeks.
"Don't worry about it." The other boy assured with a friendly expression. He had dark brown hair and emerald-green eyes. In all honesty, Y/n found him quite attractive.
Y/n presented them a closed eyed grin. "Thanks you two." She said with slight gratefulness in her tone. "How has your day been?"
Minato let out a chuckle. "Anyways, I wrote you that letter because I need to talk to you."
Y/n nodded with a small hum, granting him the silence to continue on with what he was leading up to.
"Well, what I want to talk about is..." He trailed off sheepishly as he glanced down at the grass before looking back up at the girl standing in front of him. "Would you like to go out on a date with me?"
Y/n's eyes widened at the abrupt request. She's been asked out on dates before back in middle school, but most of the time she wouldn't be aware of it. The wavy haired female believes that the topic of dating and confessions is well recognized in her knowledge, but the truth is that she can be more oblivious to confessions and love than Haruhi can.
"O-oh, um." Y/n stuttered as she stared up at Minato with wide brown eyes. She genuinely didn't want to reject him and hurt his feelings by doing so, but she didn't want him to get his hopes up if they do go on a date. Only four seconds has passed by but it felt like an eternity for both Minato and Y/n. "Uh, s-sure..." She finally accepted.
Minato's eyes widened in slight surprise. "Really?"
"Yeah." Y/n nodded her head with a friendly smile, deciding that the date doesn't mean anything romantic and was just going to be a casual hangout with a friend--even though she encountered the dark brown haired male a few minutes ago.

"Thank you, Fujioka." Minato smiled blissfully, his emerald-green eyes glinting with thrill. "So it's a date then?" He delivered, making Y/n nod once again. "If you're free on Saturday, I can pick you up at eleven?"
"Saturday at eleven sounds good." Y/n agreed kindheartedly. "Do you want me to give you my number so we can contact each other?"
"Oh yeah, that'd be great!"
The two high schoolers handed their cellphones to one another and emplaced their contact information in the other person's flip phone. Y/n gave Minato's cellphone back to him once she was finished, the young man reciprocating the first year's actions.
"See you on Saturday!" Minato smiled and waved at Y/n as he walked away.
The young woman waved him off and began to make her way back inside the school building, her next destination being music room three.
The stroll to the music room wasn't long due to Y/n arriving at the familiar double-doors in about six minutes. She opened the door and entered the room, noticing many guests already inside.
"You're late, Y/n."
The said girl jolted at the sudden voice coming from beside her, making her turn her head and detect the person who startled her. The individual was nonchalantly writing in his black notebook as he stood beside the shoulder length, brown haired teenager.
"I know. I'm sorry, Kyoya-Senpai. I just had to do something before coming here but it took longer than expected." Y/n explained to the raven haired male who has brownish-grey eyes and prescription glasses.
Kyoya hummed, glancing at her from the corner of his eye. "Very well then. Try to not let this happen again or I will have no choice but to add more to your debt."
Y/n sweat dropped, her shoulders slouching vaguely. "It won't happen again..."
With that being said, she walked away from Kyoya and approached her sister's bag that was on the floor, leaning up against the wall. She placed her school bag down next to Haruhi's and advanced towards the small kitchenette-like room, sighing as she did.
As she stood in front of the counter, Y/n heard light footsteps entering the room she was currently in, making her turn around and behold her sister.
"Hey, Y/n. I just saw you come in here." Haruhi acknowledged simply, moving to stand next to her. "Where did you go after class? Did it have anything to do with the envelope?"
"Yeah." Y/n clarified. "The letter that was in the envelope told me to go to the rose garden to meet up with someone." She described, turning herself around so she could lean back against the counter. "A guy in class 2-A asked me out on a date. His name's Souta Minato."
Haruhi's brown eyes moderately widened in shock. "Wait, what? What did you say?"
"I said yes." Y/n turned her head to the right and looked at her sister. "I didn't want to reject him. He seems really nice and I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I accepted the date. And besides, this could be a great experience for me. You went on your first date with Hikaru and I have yet to go on one."
"I wouldn't really call the hangout that happened in Karuizawa between Hikaru and I a 'date'." Haruhi blankly stated. "Anyways, what do you think dad will say when you tell him? What if the others find out?" She quizzed, referring to the six young men who were entertaining female customers outside the room the two sisters were in.
Y/n's face practically fell to the floor once Haruhi's words reached her ears, not even thinking about what her father would say or what the six young men would do.
Her small delay quickly vanished once an idea crossed her mind. "Dad won't say anything because no one else will know about this date except for you."
Haruhi sighed at her sister's reason, bringing a hand up to her forehead. "Y/n-"
"I know, I know." The wavy haired girl interrupted, lifting her hands to some extent. "We'll just say that I'm at a friends house that day if he asks where I am."
"We'll?" Haruhi repeated, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't recall being a part of your plan."
Y/n brought her hands together, moving to stand in front of her sister, who was leaning against the counter. "Please, Haruhi. All you're going to do is tell dad that I'm at a friends house. That's all." She placed her hands on her sister's shoulders. "Please?"
The short haired female sighed, a small tug at the corner of her lips. "Fine. When's the date?"
Y/n grinned in victory, bringing her hands to her hips. "Saturday, at eleven."
- - - -
Y/n stood presently in front of a body mirror that was in the bedroom she shared with Haruhi. The day of Y/n's date with Minato has finally arrived. The weather outside was rather sunny with some clouds slowly moving in the blue sky.
"Is it just me or did the days fly by?" Y/n asked, glimpsing over her outfit that she selected. She was wearing a plain white, velvet lapel neck solid blouse that was a short sleeved polyester button up front. The hem of her blouse was tucked into her denim blue jeans. Her shoulder length, wavy, brown hair was brushed out and laid upon her shoulders.
"I mean, Saturday did come by a little quicker." Haruhi said, sitting on her bed as she observed her sister. "At least you two can finally get to know each other a little more. That's what dates are for. And it's casual since you guys are going to a café."
"I guess you're right." Y/n accorded, putting on a pair of silver earrings. "Can you tell me the time please?"
Haruhi nodded her head and glanced at the digital clock that rested on her nightstand. "Ten:fifty-five."
"Oh crap. He's gonna be here in five minutes." Y/n rushed to grab her small wallet that was on the coffee table in the middle of their room, picking up her cellphone that rested beside it. She placed her flip phone and wallet in either of the front pockets of her jeans.
Y/n and Haruhi exited their bedroom and quietly approached the front door, being noiseless due to their father still being asleep in his room.
Y/n was putting on her white slip-on van shoes when she received a text message from the boy she was about to go on a date with. Once she finished putting on her shoes, she took out her cellphone and read the text that informed her about her date making an appearance.
She looked back at Haruhi after slipping her flip phone back into her pocket. "I'll see you later. Remember, if dad asks where I am you say-"
"She's at a friends house." Haruhi interjected in the same quiet tone as Y/n. "Yes, I know. Have a good time."
Y/n smiled softly at her sister, placing her hand on the door knob. "Thanks, Haruhi." She gingerly opened the door and exited the apartment, closing the door the same way she opened it.
Once she made her way down the stair steps, she caught sight of a black limousine in front of her apartment complex. Standing near the back door to the vehicle was Souta Minato.
"Hey, Fujioka." Minato greeted with an affable smile, lifting his hand in a motionless wave.
"Hi, Minato-Senpai." Y/n addressed kindly, approaching him and the limousine.
"Ready to go?" He opened the back door to the vehicle, allowing the young woman to enter.
"Yeah." She smiled respectfully, accepting the high schoolers assistance in holding the car door open.
After Y/n stepped into the vehicle, Minato followed her. He instructed the middle aged man who was seated in the drivers seat to journey to the café the two teenagers decided on.
"I'm really glad that you said yes to this date, Fujioka. I know that we don't really know each other, but I'm still really grateful that you accepted." Minato conversed as the limousine drove off towards their destination, an appreciative smile on his lips as he stared at her.
"This date could be a chance for us to get to know each other better." Y/n recited her sister's words from before and Minato nodded in agreement as the rest of the car ride remained silent.
'How awkward...' Y/n contemplated, regarding the noiseless atmosphere as she looked out the window.
"We have arrived." The middle aged man broke the silence as the vehicle came to a stop. He got out of the limousine and opened the door for Minato and Y/n, permitting them to exit the backseat.
"Thank you." Y/n courteously said to the middle aged driver once she stood on solid ground.
Minato and Y/n walked up to the coffee shop that was called 'Latte Café.' The dark brown haired male pulled open the door for Y/n, causing her to express her thankfulness as she entered, the young man strolling in after her.
"Hello. Welcome to Latte Café! How many will it be?" The hostess asked with a kind smile, standing behind a podium.
"It will be a table for two, please." Minato politely said.
The hostess nodded and grabbed two menus that were inside the podium. "Alright, just follow me to your table."
The young lady led the two high schoolers to a table that was beside the window and placed the two menus down on the wooden surface. "Your waitress will be here in a second. Enjoy!"
The hostess walked back to her working position that was near the entrance of the café as Y/n and Minato took a seat at their assigned table, sitting across from one another.
The brown haired female picked up the menu and began to look through it, debating on what she would like to order.
Not too long afterwards, a waitress approached their table and pulled out her notepad and pencil. "Hello, welcome to Latte Café. My name is Aki and I will be taking care of you guys." She introduced herself with a genuine warmhearted smile. "Have you two decided on what to order?"
"Uhm, you can say what you want first, Minato-Senpai." Y/n insisted, still scanning through the menu.
He placed his menu down on the table, displaying a look of uncertainty. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it's fine." Y/n reassured with a small smile.
"Okay then. I'd like a glass of water with a slice of vanilla cake."
Aki nodded as she scribbled Minato's order down on the notepad. She then turned her gaze to Y/n. "What would you like, Miss?"
"I'll just take an eclair with a vanilla latte, please." Y/n responded with a kind smile.
Aki grinned and wrote Y/n's selection down. "Perfect. Your orders will be out soon." She collected the two menus from them and walked away to place in the customers' orders.
Y/n directed her attention to Minato and became aware of his eyes looking elsewhere. She coursed her brown eyes to where he was gazing at and viewed their waitress.
Y/n's eyebrow twitched as she looked back at Minato, who had a light shade of pink on his cheeks. 'Oh wow. First date and it's already going to a different direction.'
Little did she know that a certain group of people were inspecting her from a distance--spying on Y/n's date with Minato.
