Y/n and Haruhi were walking down the empty hallways of Ouran Academy, currently making their way to music room three.
Once they stopped in front of the double-doors to the said music room, Haruhi placed her hand on the door handle and smoothly pushed the handle down. She was only able to open the door so that a sliver of light from the other side seeped through the small opening due to a boy with golden-brown hair and light brown eyes approached them.
"Excuse me. Are you two members of the Host Club?"
The two sisters turned their gaze to the golden-brown haired boy who stood behind them. He had prescription glasses over his light brown eyes and he was wearing black trousers and an ivory, concealed front-closure jacket, with a Nehru collar and dark gold braid; an Ouran Academy seal is sewn onto the left side.
"Could you ask third-year student Mitsukuni Haninozuka to meet me out here?"
"Who? Honey-Senpai? You sure?" Haruhi quizzed.
"Yes." The boy said with a small nod.
Y/n shrugged her shoulders when Haruhi glanced at her. Suddenly, Honey, who was on Mori's shoulders, appeared through the crack in the door.
"Oh, look! It's Chika-Chan!" The short third year greeted with a radiant, closed eyed grin. "So what's up? You rarely come over to the high school like this to see me."
"Prepare yourself, Mitsukuni." The boy now known as Chika warned as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
He rushed forward at a fast pace that Y/n and Haruhi felt wind hit them in the face. Chika jumped up and tried to kick Honey, but the golden-blond haired male dodged by jumping off of Mori's shoulders, soon landing on the floor.
Y/n and Haruhi were now inside the clubroom as they witnessed Chika arrange himself into a fighting position.
"Woah, woah, woah! Hold on a minute! Let's just all sit down and sort this out." Y/n began and then turned her head to Mori, desperately wanting him to step in. "Mori-Senpai, do something!"
"Hm."
"What do you mean 'hm'?!" Haruhi questioned frantically.
"Woah! Did you see that?!" A familiar high pitched voice exclaimed and a powerful motor erupted throughout the room as a section of the floor lifted up into a pedestal. "Honey-Senpai dodged Chika's preliminary attack! This is gonna be good!"
"What the...?" Y/n muttered as she and Haruhi slouched their shoulders.
"Honey-Senpai is able to fly through the air with such grace!" Renge narrated into a headworn microphone, sitting at a long table. "He's like a modern-day Ushiwakamaru! Woah! Chika attacks again without even giving him a chance to regain his balance!"
As Chika repeatedly threw punches at Honey, the short high schooler just continued to dodge them until he crouched down and kicked Chika's legs to make him lose stability.
"Incredible! He dodged his attack and tripped him! Neither of them is gonna give! They keep lashing out with ferocious techniques!"
Y/n and Haruhi watched in apprehension. Chika was panting but was still in his fighting stance while Honey didn't even appear to be drained in the slightest.
"So they're at it again?" Tamaki suddenly spoke, standing off to the side with Kyoya, Hikaru, and Kaoru.
"I wish they would've chosen a better location to do this." Kyoya expressed with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Wait, why are you guys so calm?!" Haruhi vociferated, she and Y/n sliding up in front of the four young men.
With their backs turned to the fight, they didn't notice Chika pull out a metal staff until Tamaki pointed at the battle. The Fujioka siblings directed their attention to where the blond haired male was pointing his finger towards and Y/n's jaw instantly dropped.

"Now things are getting serious! Chika's got a weapon!" Renge announced with focused eyes, her hands clenched into a fist.
Chika charged towards Honey and jumped, about to whack Honey with his staff but he avoided it by moving to the side and doing a flip.
Honey sidestepped each time Chika attempted to hit him with his staff.
"Hey! No way! The use of weapon should be against the rules!" Haruhi called out.
"Do you actually think that they care about rules right now? Look at them!" Y/n extended her stiffened hand towards the fight.
At that moment, Chika managed to strike Honey with the staff like he was a baseball. The hit that Honey received resulted in him propelling off the floor.
"Whoa! He knocked him out of the park!" Hikaru exclaimed in disbelief.
"This may be his first win!" Kaoru remarked in a flabbergasted tone.
Chika was breathless as he made his staff smaller in length. "I gotcha." He observed Honey's limp body on the floor.
"Sorry." Renge began bluntly, getting up from the chair she was sitting on. "But I don't think so. The winner of this fight is Honey-Senpai."
"Renge's right about that." Mori confirmed from behind the dark blond haired female.
Chika glanced down and caught sight of the shurikens that were attached to the bottom of his pants and impaled into the floor.
"See? He got you." Mori versed in a monotone voice.
"How the hell did he do that?" Chika muttered through gritted teeth. He looked back up when he heard his opponent dusting his hands off, now standing on the floor with his two feet, uninjured.
The curtains automatically blocked the sun that was coming from the windows as a screen emerged from the ceiling.
"In the heat of battle, Honey-Senpai was able to attack with his shuriken before Chika noticed!" Renge claimed as the screen counted down from the number three.
It eventually showed Honey dodging the strike that Chika threw and pretending the he actually got hit before throwing his shurikens at Chika's feet.
The curtains opened and the screen went back up to the ceiling.
"His attack has left Chika utterly defenseless!" Renge broadcasted with a satisfied grin as the pedestal lowers itself back into the floor. "What a great fight! Can't wait for the next one! Until then, see ya!"
Chika was now on his hands and knees, undoubtedly mortified at his loss while Honey just stood in front of him.
"Hey, guys." Haruhi deadpanned with her shoulders hunched over. "I'm completely lost--you wanna tell me what's going on here? Who's that kid and why'd he attack Honey-Senpai?"
"What? You mean you can't tell just by looking at his face? He's Honey-Senpai's younger brother." Tamaki briefed, causing the two sisters to simultaneously gasp in shock and in recognition.

"The Haninozukas are a noble family. We excel at martial arts. We've combined styles over the years, to create our very own method of fighting. When we're away, we study karate and judo, but when we're home, we work hard to master the Haninozuka technique. So to make sure that we always stay alert, we have been taught that whenever two family members come face-to-face, they must engage each other in battle." The golden-brown haired male explained calmly, or more so like he doesn't want to be in that room anymore.
Yasuchika Haninozuka, otherwise known as Chika, was seated on a couch across from Y/n and Haruhi. Tamaki was also present during the topical discussion, standing beside the couch that Chika was sitting on.

The blond haired male placed his hand on the wooden coffee table that had a cup of tea and a slice of cake for the third year middle schooler. "Go on, Yasuchika. We saved you a yummy piece of cake." He waved his other hand with a closed eyed smile on his face.
"Thank you, but I don't care for sweets." Chika repudiated, his elbow propped on the armrest of the couch, his hand against his cheek as he averted eye contact. "Besides a basic principle of the Haninozuka technique is refraining from selfishness. So to let myself indulge in sweets would be out of the question."
"But one little piece of cake isn't really going to hurt you." Tamaki mumbled with a frown.
The Hitachiin brothers became visible from behind the couch Y/n and Haruhi were sitting on.
"Hold on--I happen to know of a sweets-loving, overly-pampered little loli boy who happens to be-"
"-the next head of the Haninozukas-" Kaoru continued the sentence where Hikaru left off.
"-and he's sitting right over there." The twins spoke in union and pointed their index finger over to where Honey was sitting peacefully and eating a slice of cake.
Chika glanced at his older brother from the corner of his eye and quietly scoffed, his eyes vaguely narrowing. "Let me just say, there's no way I'm ever going to recognize a dimwit like Mitsukuni as the next head of our family." His harsh words caused the golden-blond haired male to halt his movements and for the twins to slide up near him. "There's no doubt my older brother is strong, but he lives a decadent lifestyle and has failed to show any self-restraint. He no longer has the right to be called a Haninozuka. I can't allow someone who arbitrarily quit the Karate Club only to become hooked, on cake and stuffed animals; to be the head of the Haninozuka family, even if he is my older brother. I've been meaning to make that clear for a while." He got up from the couch and began to walk away. "And another thing, Mitsukuni." He stopped walking and glanced back at his brother. "I've said it before and I'll say it again stay away from me at school, got it?"
Y/n watched as Chika walked away and left the clubroom, now standing up with her sister next to her.
Honey was situated in front of a window, holding his pink stuffed bunny, Usa-Chan, as the two sisters took a couple of steps towards him.
"Senpai. Are you doin' okay?" Haruhi asked with slight concern in her tone.
When Honey didn't respond and just lowered his head crestfallenly, Y/n felt sympathetic towards him--his own brother didn't want anything to do with him.
"Honey-Senpai," Tamaki voiced in a gentle tone, a warm-hearted, closed eyed smile on his face as he held the slice of cake that was supposed to be for Chika in his hand, standing next to Haruhi who stood next to Y/n, "so what should we do with this cake?"
Honey whirled around with a beaming smile on his face, his whole behavior doing a one-eighty as he was now his usual cheerful self. "I'll eat it!" In one bite, the cake was gone. "Yay!" He spun around as he held onto Usa-Chan.
The corners of Y/n's lips tugged upwards at the energetic third year. "So, you used to be in the Karate Club? That's pretty cool. What made you decide to quit and join the Host Club?"
"Why did you just say the Host Club like that?" Tamaki suspected with an accusing and quiet tone, his arms crossed over his chest as he stood next to Y/n. "What're you getting at, huh?"
"Doesn't matter how you take this, but the Karate Club is so much more reputable than ours is, Tamaki-Senpai." Y/n claimed in a straightforward manner, making the said blond haired male screech and rush to crouch in front of a corner with a disheartened aura surrounding him.
"If you really want to know-" Hikaru initiated as he slid up next to Haruhi and slung his arm around her shoulders.
"-we'll have to take a little trip down memory lane." Kaoru finished as he glided up beside Y/n and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"It was long before the Host Club had been established." Hikaru unfolded.
"Listen up and we'll tell you the legend of Honey-Senpai, the captain of the Karate Club." Kaoru proposed, feebly leaning the side of his head against Y/n's.
The twins explained that Honey was the captain of the Karate Club during his first year in high school and how he had to hide his cute side and reject it because of what people were saying about him.
"From that day forward, Honey-Senpai tried his very best. It was difficult, but he worked hard." Tamaki noted with his index finger up as Hikaru and Kaoru nodded at every word he uttered, standing with his back facing the twins, Y/n, and Haruhi.
"So he spent more time working on martial arts moves?" Haruhi examined.
"Wrong!" Tamaki pronounced, sharply turning around to face the four first years. "Well aware of what others were saying about him, Honey-Senpai worked hard to follow his father's orders. He sealed away all of his cute possessions, so as to not seem weak. Then, he decided to take on a hard and fearless disposition, that of a manly-man. However, it was obvious to everyone around him that his efforts were failing." He maintained to tell the story as Honey stood in front of the window once more. "And so, the girls were so touched by seeing him resist the things he loved that their Moe senses went into overdrive. Not long after that the Haninozuka fan club was born."
Haruhi had an expression of confusion evident on her face. "What does any of that stuff have to do with the legend of the Karate Club?"
The twins interlocked their hands with each other's as they rested the side of their head against one another's. "Let us explain." They described how Honey was a great captain to the Karate Club and how the Karate Club would compliment him on how manly he was, but he was only like that because he was concealing his true self. "That story's such a tear-jerker!" The identical brothers cried into light blue handkerchiefs.
"How is that even a tear-jerker?" Y/n questioned, but then sighed dismissively. "You know what, never mind. Just tell us what happens next."
Tamaki explained how he lured Honey out of the Karate Club one day with a bunny hand-puppet and requested him to be part of a new club he was organizing--The Host Club. Honey kept refusing until Tamaki questioned him about what true strength is. He then continued to explain to the two sisters how the golden-blond haired male went up to his father to know what true strength really was.
"It has been said, that Honey-Senpai's father is the most talented fighter in the Haninozuka family's history." Tamaki informed and went on about how Honey and his father fought each other. "If I remember correctly, Honey-Senpai had already attained his current level of martial arts prowess. Which is quite extraordinary." The blond haired second year turned his head to look back at Honey, who was on Mori's shoulders. "Well, am I right?"
"Uh-huh!" Honey settled with a bright smile.
"Rumor has it, the referee that happened to be officiating was Japan's Secretary of Defense at the time, and he begged Honey-Senpai to never fight in public again; at least not at his full potential." Tamaki divulged.
"Why?" Y/n quizzed with a raised eyebrow.
"If the world ever saw Honey-Senpai's true abilities they'd suspect Japan of possessing a weapon of mass destruction." The violet eyed male collectively unraveled. "The Secretary was afraid it might upset the U.N. and then they would take it out on all of Japan."
The twins brought their hands together and intertwined them. "How awful!"
Once the twins gained composure, Hikaru conversed. "So, Honey-Senpai quit the Karate Club-"
"-and decided to become a member of the Host Club."
"All things considered," Hikaru began after Kaoru, moving beside Haruhi, "Honey-Senpai's behavior is too unconventional for even the Haninozuka's to contain."
Kaoru positioned himself next to Y/n once again. "So because of that, his younger brother had a more strict upbringing--one more in keeping with the Haninozuka standard."
"Sometimes I think Chika-Chan hates me because I'm not following the family rules." Honey said softly.
"All right, gentlemen!" Tamaki commenced eagerly with a determined smile. "Time for Operation Haninozuka Brothers Reconciliation!"
"Hooray!" The twins cheered, jumping with a fist raised in the air.
Haruhi stared blankly at the group of young men, lightly sweat dropping. "I knew he was gonna say that."

Rune
In the world of Rune, there are two kinds of Players. The Crafters, and the Fighters. Not everything stays that simple, though, and Rune is no exception. Within each region, a number of guilds have sprung up, operating as the unaccountable vanguard of defense for the besieged cities. They don't care to deal fairly, and nobody else has the power to do much about it. (Harem is tagged but it's honestly polyamory. I hate the word harem but given that some people would interpret it as such, in it goes.)
