Everyone prepares for the Fairy Tail Guild's annual 24-Hour Endurance race. Jason, from Sorcerer Magazine, has come to watch and commentate the race,

Jason: "So cool! Welcome to today's highly anticipated event, Fairy Tail's mandatory for all wizards road race has arrived and we are bringing you every heart pounding second. I'm everyone's favorite Sorcerer Weekly reporter Jason and I will your guide to today's sweet action. It's filling up fast I hear, so you better hurry and come to watch the coolest race in Fairy Tail history!"

Jet arrives on the scene...

Jason: "There he is folks, the reigning and undefeated. Lightning Fast, Jet! Rumor is he does this to compensate for being lackluster on quests. Scandalous!"

Jet: *annoyed* "Hey!"

Jason: "Cool it speed demon. It's only a rumor"

Gray: "Jet is still the fan-favorite. Everybody put the money on him again"

Natsu: "Haa! Well I hope they're ready to lose it. This year's champion is going to be Salamander"

Gajeel: "Big talking morons are sure to end up in a ditch before getting close to the finish line"

Natsu: "Those morons don't have a secret weapon like I do"

Gray: *to Natsu* "Fire-breather blows smoke! Jeez! You're just a child"

(Y/n): *yawns* "All that matters to me is not playing the punishment game"

Meanwhile Cana downs an entire barrel of alcohol,

Cana: "Yeah! Now I'm ready"

Lucy: "You downed it! How the heck are you gonna compete!"

Cana: "You don't expect me to run on an empty stomach do ya?"

Lucy: *smiling* "No just do your thing" *whispering* "I've never seen her get riled up about an event"

Happy: "That's because she doesn't want to play the punishment game" *holding his head in hands* "The one last year gave me the nightmares"

Lucy: "I didn't sign up for punishment game!"

Master Makarov gets everyones attention and goes on, explaining the race's route: a mountain. Fairy Tail members must climb this mountain and then take a Wyvern Scale and return to the South Gate Park within 24 hours. Happy and Evergreen plan to fly across the set to win, but their plans are foiled when Makarov reveals that flying will not be permitted.

Anyone who falls into last place will receive "the punishment game".

Macao: "Is it just me or does he only put on this event for the punishment game"

Alzack: "Last year's was beyond sadistic"

Gajeel: "Quit complaining! Ya sissies, it's embarrassing. Only one person is punished don't come in dead last"

Erza: "Although there is a kernel of wisdom in your words Gajeel. Your phrasing could use a little bit of work"

Gajeel: "You making fun of me!"

Erza: "I would say if you're competing do it with all your strength"

Erza requips...

Erza: "This is custom made equipment. It keeps muscle fatigue at bay thus increasing my endurance"

Gajeel: "If I didn't knew better I would say she is showing off"

I check my jacket preparing for the race, might seem weird seeing a guy do a running race in suit, but that's my plan. Puss comes to me and an idea strucks me. All the others have a bright idea of actually running but not taking advantage of their surroundings. I look to Puss who nods along knowing my plan

Everyone gets on the starting line. The race begins and Jet runs so quickly the others behind him fall,

Jet: *running* "All right let's start this one big!

Jason: "Once again Jet starts with an overwhelming lead. So cool!"

Levy: "See now I told you what I was talking about"

Lucy: "Yeah you sure do"

The first to stand, Natsu, quickly uses his magic as a booster of his speed,

Natsu: "Told you guys I had a secret weapon this year. This is my

As the other's catch up, Levy and Lucy are left behind,

Wendy: *running* "Good luck Lucy and Levy do your best"

Carla: *running* "There's no need to be nice to them Wendy every person in this race today is an enemy"

(Y/n): *motioning to Lucy and Levy* "Come on, you 2 wouldn't like being dead last"

Jet is in the lead followed by Natsu and the others behind Natsu. Carla and Wendy are followed by Lucy and Levy leaving Happy behind.

Whereas (Y/n) and Puss are walking peacefully without a care in this world at dead last.

Back at the guildhall,

Jason: "Jet the winning champion, maintains his impressive lead. But Natsu isn't far behind him. Rocketing into 2nd place, with his Fire Dragon Iron Fist Booster. Behind him Erza, Gajeel, Gray and many more competing for the third in the heart pounding free-for-all. Who will break out of the pack and claim it! And joining me to share her thoughts on this race, is the ravishing Miss Mirajane"

Mirajane: *looking at the magic crystal* "Well Jet is apparently so fast we can't even see him. But (Y/n) and Puss are..."

Jason and Master look at the lacrima which shows (Y/n) and Puss hopping joyfully,

Puss: *cheerfully* "First comes rock"

(Y/n): *cheerfully* "Then comes paper"

(Y/n)/Puss: *cheerfully* "You can't throw all of them. Rock, Paper, Scissors, shoot..."

Puss: *pointing at (Y/n)'s shark hand puppet* "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS YOU BASTARD!!!"

(Y/n): *showing his shark hand puppet* "It's a magical shark who eats rocks"

Mirajane, Master sweatdrop at this whereas Jason is excited by it. Back at the race everyone starts using their magic to distract the other members and to keep them from getting ahead. Reedus uses his to create pitfalls in which Droy and Warren fall into it, before Reedus falls down in his own pitfall.

Gajeel: *looking at Reedus fall down into pitfall* "Not everyday you see Humpty-Dumpty take a fall down"

Gray uses to freeze the ground below making Vijeeter and Nab fall down along with other members of the guild, while Gray passes them smoothly skating on the ice,

Gray: *skating and looking behind* "Sorry everyman for himself"

Nab: "YOU BETTER HOPE I DON'T CATCH UP WITH YOU GRAY!!!"

Elfman: "Eyes in front ice boy"

Elfman uses his to knock down Gray sending him sliding down the icy floor. Evergreen, Bisca and Max are running when they're suddenly trapped in an enchantment,

Bisca: "What the heck is this? An enchantment!"

Max: "It's Freed's"

Evergreen: "Has he booby-trapped the course?"

Freed: "That's correct"

Evergreen: "You're not going to leave us here? Are you? I know that Master Makarov says anything but flying goes. But this is ridiculous!"

Freed: "I don't plan to keep you trapped for good"

Some books appear in front of them,

Max: *holding out a book* "The heck is this? Magic mobile driving license exam question book?"

Bisca: *holding a book* "The elemental magic workbook level 3 for advance practitioners?"

Evergreen: "WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!"

Freed: "To do that you must complete every workbook in front of you. If you answer all of them correctly you will be set free"

Evergreen/Bisca/Max: "We're screwed"

Freed: "Why are you surprised? The master challenged us to use our strength and intellect. All Fairy Tail members should have these attributes in abundance. If you must cast blame, look to the one who leads"

Freed disappears into runes.

Evergreen: "Get back here you cad!"

Max: "What did he mean by that last part?"

Bisca: "He is saying," *looking at Evergreen* "the person in front of us tripped the trap. You and I got dragged into this mess"

Evergreen: *reading a book to avoid eye contact* "So do you know the answer to question 1"

Max/Bisca: "YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN YOU OLD HAG!!"

Freed: *running away* "I hope that you will forgive me" *sees Erza running* "It seems Erza isn't relying on her magic at all"

Erza is about to run into an enchantment but takes a step back at the last moment,

Erza: "Somebody is playing dirty"

Freed: "Impressive! Your intuition has served you well, you may have avoided that trap but now I..."

Before Freed can complete his sentence he is surrounded by swords from all sides, trapping him.

Erza: "I doubt you will break my concentration again after this" *starts jogging* "Now I have to get my running rhythm back"

Freed: "Wait! Don't leave! ERZA!!"

Freed is left behind as Erza and Happy pass by him. Meanwhile (Y/n) and Puss...

(Y/n): *cutting meat on skewer* "How's the cheese fondue?

Puss: *dipping the crouton into cheese and eating it* "Pretty good. Love the gooey cheese! Thanks for cooking it, by the way how's the kebab?"

(Y/n): *eating the kebab* "Pretty good! Can't believe it came out this perfectly"

Back at the guild,

Jason: "There's movement on the summit of Mount Ivor" *gasps* "Is that him!"

Jet is revealed to be source of movement as he is climbing the mountain at a breakneck speed.

Jason: "IT'S JET! He is the first to the summit, SO COOL!"

Jet stops and picks up a Wyern scale.

Jason: "The first Wyern scale has been retrieved. Now he just as to bring it back"

Jet quickly starts running down the mountain.

Jason: "Jet's speed is out of this world! Things are heating up and it's so COOL!"

Back at the race Lucy is tired and is resting against a tree,

Lucy: *tired* "I'm exhausted! Go on without me Levy, I'm only going to slow you down"

Levy: *jogging on spot* "On your feet Lu! You can do this"

Lucy: "I won't be able to get very far when my legs feel like jelly. I just need to rest a bit okay. Don't worry I will catch up"

Levy: "All right don't stay here too long kay"

Levy jogs away, however Lucy is still very exhausted,

Lucy: "This sucks! I was sure I would last way longer than this" *takes out her Celestial Spirit keys* "Well I guess it's time to take out the big guns.

Virgo: "How may I serve you today princess?"

Lucy: "Carry me to the top of this mountain. Asap, super express speed!"

Virgo: *bowing slightly* "It would be my pleasure"

Virgo carries Lucy bridal style in her arms...

Lucy: "Oh yeah much better! Now let's get back in the race"

Virgo: "Hold on tightly"

Virgo launches at a very high speed as per Lucy's request. Lucy screams along the way scared passing Levy,

Levy: "Woah was that Lucy"

Lucy: *grabbing tightly onto Virgo* "Stop! Virgo hit the brakes! If you don't I WILL SOIL MYSELF!!!"

Somewhere along the distance Juvia has her hand in a stream and is reminiscing,

Juvia: *placing her hand on her cheek* "Oh my darling Gray, will you ever forgive me for what I did?"

Juvia remembers as she skated past Gray who was knocked down by Elfman.

Juvia: "I was so afraid of this punishment game everyone is talking about. That I abandoned you when you needed me the most. If only I could go back in time, I would have done things differently my love. I would wait beside this gentle spring my dear and when you arrive I would soothe your troubles with it's pristine water. Just like this"

Juvia unbeknownst to her has actually become a part of the stream and is flowing in it but finally realizes what is going on,

Juvia: "OH NO! WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME!"

Wendy and Carla run alongside the stream,

Wendy: "Hey Carla look isn't it Juvia?"

Carla: "It appears she has merged with the river. She may have become overly stimulated by the stress of the race and fell into the water, which is a careless mistake on her part?"

Wendy is spooked by this and Gray appears running beside Carla and Wendy.

Gray: "Hey either of you seen Juvia around?"

Carla points at the river and Gray sees Juvia merged with the river,

Gray: "What the.."

Juvia: "HELP ME GRAY!!!"

One by one, all the members arrive at the mountain and reach for a Wyvern scale until only 4 are left. Happy and Natsu take two and then depart for the return trip. Jet, who is far ahead of everyone else, decides to take a nap. Happy, noticing him, wakes him. Jet thanks him and resumes the race.

Meanwhile (Y/n) and Puss also get their Wyern scales however instead of going down, they're going further up at the summit.

Jason: "Folks it seems (Y/n) and Puss are rebels not following along the same path as the others. THIS IS SO COOL!"

Mirajane: "My guess is maybe they might have forgotten the pathway"

(Y/n) and Puss continue climbing the mountain till they can't go further up. Puss is panting, whereas (Y/n) is not even affected by the work.

Puss: "So guess this is it?"

"End of the line pal"

Puss: "Lets do this"

"All right"

Me and Puss start doing our battle...

"Rock, Paper, Scissors..."

Puss: "No I meant doing that"

"Oh yeah, that thing"

Puss: "Gotcha"

Both of us get in running positions at the starting line and Puss transforms into his human form,

Puss: "Let's have as much fun as possible"

"Ready whenever you are"

Puss tosses a rock and the moment it touches the ground both of us launch at breakneck speed and start running down the mountain.

Puss: "Woohoo!"

"Hahaha! Come on buddy here we go!"

Puss: "Keep up! Keep up!"

Our speed however goes beyond the speed limit as we ourselves aren't able to control ourselves, however both of us are laughing from the thrill...

Jason: "Folks we are picking off movement at the side of Mount Ivor. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!(Y/n) AND PUSS ARE AT A BREAKNECK SPEED AND THEY ARE HEADING STRAIGHT FOR A RAMP!!!"

At this moment (Y/n) and Puss launch off the ramp leaving a huge plume of smoke in its wake, leaving Master and Mirajane to drop their jaws.

Makarov/Mirajane: "(Y/n) RAN!!!!"

Jason: "(Y/n) AND PUSS ARE AIRBORNE WITHOUT FLYING!!! SO COOL!!"

Due to their high speed both of them leave all the guild members behind in air, as all of them are shocked to see Puss and (Y/n) midair, where Puss is performing a backflip whereas (Y/n) is simply running midair...

Cana/Macao/Wakaba: "(Y/n) is running!!!"

Lucy: "Puss is somehow in air!!!"

Happy: "HOW IS THIS FAIR!!!"

(Y/n) and Puss are midair, when a ladle strikes against Puss's head,

Puss: *rubbing his head* "Where did you get that?"

(Y/n): *holding a hammer and frying pan* "At the marketplace"

Puss: "Take this!" *throws back the ladle*

(Y/n): *deflecting with the ladle with a frying pan* "Good one!"

Puss tosses back the ladle at (Y/n) who deflects

it with his frying pan, commencing a dogfight...

Jason: "WOAH SO COOL! PUSS AND (Y/n) ARE HAVING AN AERIAL BATTLE WITHOUT FLYING SO COOL!!! What are you thoughts on this Miss Mirajane"

Mirajane can't still believe (Y/n) actually ran in a race and so is silent.

Jason: "The action is so cool. Mirajane is stunned into silence SO COOL!!!"

While (Y/n) and Puss are doing their dogfight all the instruments of their war are raining down at the participants below,
