《My Inner Demons》The Mall (Ch6)

I wake up to Noi poking my face, "Noi... Stop..." I groan looking away from him. "Y/n, get up!" He complains. I grumble at him and flick my hand in his face, pushing him away. "Get up before-" Noi goes to say something but is cut off by someone picking me up.
I feel myself being picked up and harshly dropped on the floor, "Gah!" I wince as I hit the floor, confused and angered by this action I look to see who's throat I have to rip out. Asch.
"There, now thing is awake," He says before walking off. I glare at him as I stand up and dust myself off. I go to punch him in the face but Noi grabs my arm, shaking his head at me and I groan, knowing that it's not worth it.
"What's the plan?" I ask looking at Rhys. He goes to speak but Asch cuts him off, "You would know if you woke up earlier. Speaking of which, Leif wake the human so we can ask her about the plan." Calm down Y/n... Punching him will only make it worse... Breathe...
Leif nods and goes to wake the human. A few seconds after he enters the room the human screams, "I was only kidding!" As she runs out of the room, fear on her face.
"Leif! Did you threaten her?!" I yell at him and he rolls his eyes. "No..." he says sarcastically. I groan and pull him away from the room. The human enters the room and comes back out again in different clothing.
"Human, we have a plan we need assistance with." Rhys begins and the human nods for him to continue, "We need to become familiar with this world, can you help assimilate us to it." He says respectfully and she laughs at him?
"She mocks us?" Leif questions, "No no! It's just you said ass." She laughs and I chuckle a bit too but it's not noticeable. I'm starting to like this human. She's weird. Kinda like me.
"Asch, perhaps you can explain." Rhys says looking at Asch, Asch groans and sits up to face the human, "fine, teach us your human ways. Now." He demands and Rhys glares at him. Asch should be more polite, the human does have the upper hand here.
"If I do that, will you guys leave?" She asks and we nod. "Faster then you can imagine," Asch reassures her and she seems happy about this. I'm honestly indifferent.
"Really?" She asks, not believing that we would actually leave. "Really," Asch replies. And the rest of us all nod again.
"Look, when I woke up I was kinda hoping you guys would have robbed me and left by now. I wasn't expecting you guys to stay." I look at the human oddly. "Why would you hope for that?" I ask, when I thought she was odd I didn't realise she was odd enough to hope for such a thing.

"Because losing a few hundred dollars isn't as bad as dealing with the stress of- nevermind. Y'all real about this human thing huh?" She asks and Asch growls, "Assimilate us. Now." He demands.
"A sorceress like myself. It'll be hard to teach you the ways, but first, off I need to use my power to conjure you up some human clothing." She explains confidently. I think she likes being able to help us, maybe it makes her feel powerful? I don't know. It's hard to read her right now.
Humans are very difficult to read, for us Daemos our "emotions" are very readable, you're either happy, angry, sad, indifferent or murderous. Not a many others and not really any in-betweeners. These humans are like a huge spectrum of emotions and it's a huge culture shock honestly.
"Is what we are wearing right now not suitable?" Rhys asks and the human thinks for a bit, "Y-yeah that's because I cast a spell that attracts other demons from around the world to one place. It's called a convention spell." She explains and I look at her in awe.
"You're a summoner? And can conjure demons?! Cool!" I say, showing my impressed attitude towards the human. Is she really that powerful? She looks so harmless.
I hear Asch growl next to me before grumbles "Enough talk. Where are these clothes?" The human looks around the room. "Well first we need-" She goes off and comes back quickly with a pink thing and Asch takes it.
"Hey! Give me back my damn swear jar!" The human yells and Asch throws the 'swear jar' to Pierce for him to smash it. It explodes a bunch of green leaf looking things and gold circles of metal.
The human looks at the smashed pink thing with slight sadness and disdain, "Well f-" "Forgive us." Rhys apologizes and the human sighs, "It's alright. It's a small sacrifice to make you guys leave as soon as possible," she says happily. "Woah I had one hundred and fifty bucks in this thing?! Hell yeah!" She exclaims.
"Wait. Does that count? Eh, one hundred and fifty-one now." She says adding another bit of green stuff to the pile.
"Whom is she speaking too?" Leif asks, "Spirits?" Noi responds and I shrug. "Maybe she talks to herself?" I ask and they shrug in response.
"Come, I'm going to take you to a very sacred place to us humans." She says grabbing the money and leaving the room. We, us in Asch, Pierce, Noi and I follow her to a big building with many open rooms and seats. Leif and Rhys stayed behind to fix up our living space.
"This is a mall. Humans come here in order to gather casting supplies or in order to make our homes more comfortable." She explains and I look around. It's an odd building but it's interesting.

She shows us what she calls a convenience store and a thrift store. "My two favourite shops. And the only ones I go to because I don't have a job and rely on my parents." She mumbles the last part but I still hear it.
"How does this help?" I ask looking into the store.
"Oh, easy. We are going to get your human clothes here." She says excitedly, she is a very excitable person by the looks of things.
"Those female humans over there are trying to use their blinding magic on us again," Pierce states, looking over at two other humans in this mall.
"Huh?" The human asks following our gaze. "Oh, those are the con go'ers. They probably think you guys are cosplaying which really works in our favour because now that I think about it I'm not sure how we are going to address the horns." She mumbles the last part again. This seems to be a habit of hers. Interesting, do other humans do this too?
"Oh my god, Ava!?" I hear someone announce, I turn to the direction of the noise, it's yet another human female. But she seems to know this human, I guess the human that we captured goes by the name of Ava. I'll start calling her that then.
"Ava it is you! Oh my gosh, I thought you were busy this weekend!" The female human announces. I look at her, studying her mannerisms and her speech, she's different from Ava. She's more readable, more open I guess. And from what I'm reading she's overly friendly, possibly the naive type.
"Ahaha, Same to you!" Ava replies awkwardly. When did her demeanour change to awkward? Is it because of this human female? "I thought you were going to the convention or something!" Ava replies seeming uncomfortable around the other human female.
"Oh, I am! I just stopped by the thrift shop for a sewing kit! Had a little cosplay accident. Anywho, now that you're here we can go to the con together!" The human female exclaims. I don't understand what she's saying, but whatever it is, Ava is becoming more uncomfortable.
"Uh, yeah about that. You see I can't because... I uh... I-I'm sick!" Ava begins to fake cough by saying the word cough and the human female buys it? How odd... I believe my guess on her being the naive type was correct.
"Aww! I'm sorry you're not feeling well!" She says cheerfully and Ava sighs in relief. "Although next time you totally need to come with me and my friends! We'd love to have you around and-"
"Enough chatter," Asch cuts the female human off and looks at Ava, "we must-" Before he can say anything else the new female human looks at him. "You're hot." She states with stars in her eyes. If I'm reading her correctly then she is attracted to... Asch.
Ewwww!!
"Ah, w-what?" Asch replies, confused by the look she's giving him and I stifle a laugh, ah, how his confusion amuses me.
"And your costume! Eeee! Your costume is so cool!!!" She says looking at Asch, she then looks towards me and the others, "Eeeee! Also cool!" her squealing is annoying. Why is she doing that? What's a costume?
"Ava, are these your friends?" She asks looking at Ava and Ava becomes uncomfortable again. "I mean, yeah. I guess you could say that." She replies uncertainly.
"Wow! I didn't realise you had friends! And you're going out with them! That's amazing!" The human female states seeming excited for Ava. But Ava still looks uncomfortable, almost offended. I'm finding it difficult to understand the humans' conversation. What was offensive? Why is she uncomfortable?
"Enough talk we need the-" Asch goes to talk again but Ava stops him by covering his mouth and I chuckle to myself, why is it so funny seeing Asch getting put in his place? Oh, that's right! Because he deserves it!
"Hey Lorelei, I won't go to the convention with you and I'll probably continue to ignore after this, but do you think you could help me pick out like six outfits for my friends? Five guys and a girl." Ava asks and the human female looks at her, "for what?" She asks suspiciously.
"Well, I'm having these friends-my friends, stay at mine from the convention and they came to town for it and the airline lost their suitcases so they don't have any clothes. I'm helping." Ava says cautiously, she's good at making a lie but not good at executing it confidently it seems.
The female human who I believe may be called Lorelei, looks at her suspiciously then smiles. "Well, why didn't you just say so!" She exclaims and Ava sighs in relief, yep Lorelei is the naive type.
"Though real talk, your friends are really hot!" She says looking at us with those eyes again. Why does she do that?!
"Great. Now I've remembered that." Ava says looking at us slightly red-faced. Why are humans so strange? Why is it making me flustered?!
"Alright, leave it to me! I can help ya!" Lorelei exclaims and Noi looks to Pierce and me, "Should we take that one prisoner too?" He asks whispering. Pierce shrugs and I shake my head vigorously, "No way! She's too strange." I whisper yell at him in response. I really don't like the way she looks at us.
We buy the clothes and leave. I wonder what these clothes look like. Ava also runs off to get food and then we leave back to the living space. Let's try these clothes then.

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds

Rise of a Scarlet Devil (Regular+Draft Version)
A young girl slain during a war was brought back to life by some unknown force millennia later. She could only remember a vague face within her memories, uncertain as to who it was but there was one thing she did know. She needed to kill that person. But she was too weak, she needed to hide, to grow. She needed to flee from the battlefield her enemy reigns over. And to do so, she needed to run eastward, towards Helios, a safe haven for those who have lost their homes in the war. And where she would grow to become the strongest Hunter under her own strength. What was it that brought her back? Only time will tell. #Author's Note The novel is organized like this:Regular Chapters (Act, Title, Part (ranging from 1 to 9))Draft Chapter DisclaimerDraft Chapters (Entry Number, Perspective, Title, Part (ranging from i to ii)) Regular chapters are edited chapters that reflect the story aspect more while Draft chapters reflect plot progression more. An occasional interactive chapter will appear in the drafts but nowhere in the regular chapters. Expect changes when reading between Regular and Draft chapters as some events in the story may change in length or entirely removed/changed. Only read the draft version if you want a future view and/or opinion on the story and design elements. The main character is a human from a fantasy world reincarnated as a devil. The story possesses Reincarnators, Transmigrators, and Summoned Persons. though mainly focusing on Magic and other abilities such as Aura and Skills. Wizards (those who prepare arcane spells) and Mages (those who use elemental magic) are separate but seen as the same by common inhabitants of the world but clearly defined as different by more influential persons and by the circles themselves. The main character WILL not be a Mage or Wizard but will incorporate mana into her attacks to aid her as does any high-rank combatants. The system in the novel quantifies a person's abilities and keeps record of them but does not define natural ability, occasionally granting special abilities as skills to a person once prerequisites are met. There is no leveling system and no occupational systems in the novel featuring only a stat based and skill based system. Also, this novel is my first and will most likely be trash.

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.
