《My Inner Demons》Earth? (Ch1)

-------
We've been hunting the last source of magic for weeks now. "Drop it!" I hear my idiotic brother say. I turn to see my brown-haired, blue-eyed and pale friend who goes by the name of Pierce, holding the orb away from Noi, my brother.
"That's right, drop it this way." The light grey-haired and blue-eyed over-confident moron yells. Leif, he's one of the best assassins in Daemos. But not the smartest.
"It's mine! I rightfully cornered it first!" Noi exclaims and I roll my eyes at their petty behaviour. Noi has orange hair with orange eyes and pale skin. I have s/c skin with similar facial features, my hair is h/l and h/c and my eyes are e/c. My horns are f/c and the same shape as Nois, but I'm taller than him, which he doesn't like.
"You wanna try me?" Leif threatens, looking aggressively at Noi. "Face me! I'm delivering it to his highness first!" Noi rebuttals.
"I think you'll find that you're wrong there brother," I say sneak attacking Pierce by sweeping his legs, he drops the orb to catch his fall and allowing me to take it. "I'll be delivering it to Prince Asch," I say smugly.
Prince Asch is a hot-head. He has dark hair, eyes and honestly, he has a stick up his royal as- I mean butt. I don't like him and he hates me, but I wanted to get up in the ranks so I have to be on his good side... Easier said than done with a mouth like mine. Hopefully, in the next part of the mission, I can really speak my mind.
"Petty, all of you. Truly it doesn't matter who delivers it. As long as it's me." Rhys states in his normal 'I know more than you' tone. He's an interesting character. The most level headed out of everyone, which is why I get along with him the best. He has dark skin with dark hair and blue eyes, he's quite cute but I would never tell him that.
I smirk at him, "Fine. Go get it." throwing it in a random direction I hear Leif catch it, "It's mine!" Noi yells as he attacks Leif. Rhys throws a ball of his magic making Noi and Leif move out of the way dropping the orb.
Noi runs to get it but I shove him out of the way, whacking him into Rhys. Laughing at their inability to really think before acting, I pick up the orb. Suddenly I'm hit with a ball of magic and fire surrounds me. Crap, Asch is here.
Looking around to find him the second I do I bow, not bowing to him is a mistake I'm not willing to make again. At least not on Daemos.
"Your highness. I can explain," Rhys starts, "We had obtained the soul when it slipped from our grasp and-"

I cut him off, "-we had a delay, your highness." I say looking towards Asch as I do I see Lady Grandma appear from behind Asch. Oh brother.
"Is it hot in here? Or is it just me?" She says in a flirtatious tone. She creeps me out, but she also hates my guts as I quote 'hung around the guys to much'. At least I'm not a perv. Friggen weird old lady.
"Lady Grandma," Rhys says kinda shocked from her tone of voice. I don't know why is his, he should be used to it by now. Pierce gets the worst of it though. Poor guy.
"Not now grandmother," Asch states annoyed, not even trying to hide his eyes rolling in annoyance.
"Silence!" Lady Grandma complains glaring at her grandson, "Hmph! When I was the queen of the land Daemos I could have your tongue for speaking back at me." She says with distaste. That's one of her favourite lines to use on me. It's funny hearing repeated to someone else.
"Why are you here?" I ask bored. She glares at me but replies, "That soul you boys and thing obtained, you need to take it unharmed to the alter now or we won't be able to use it." Yeah, she doesn't refer to me as girl or women either, not even female. She refers to me as thing. I sigh at the thought, she is so difficult.
Putting it in my bag and look over to the others, "I mean the person killed to get it was harmed-" My brother goes speak but Lady Grandma appears in front of him and wacks him upside the head with her staff. "Do not speak ill of the dead!" She commands and I stifle a laugh.
"Now, follow me. You'll be in the new world soon enough." Lady Grandma says walking off and we all follow. I make sure to snicker at Noi as we go and he roles his eyes at me.
We get inside the massive room. It has a giant circle on the floor with a potions stand to the right of the door when we enter. Lady Grandma heads towards it and the six of us go to the circle, standing around it, all of as on an opposite side to someone else.
"The soul," Lady Grandma commands. I nod, grabbing it from my bag and showing it to Lady Grandma. "Bring it here thing." She demands and I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes.
"In order to transfer it into my potions, I'll need to hold hands with one who opposes some light of magic." She looks annoyed that I'm the one with the soul and honestly I don't wanna hold hands with her either. So being the great big sister I am I pan it off to Noi.
"Here Noi, you hold hands with Lady Grandma," I say chucking him the soul and he looks at me with disgust. "Y/n!" He complains and I smirk, "What, you said you wanted to deliver it to Lady Grandma. Plus you owe me a favour anyways." I state brushing off his complaints.

"I don't wanna hold hands with her! She's old!" Noi stupidly complains at me.
Lady Grandma instantly becomes angry at this comment and throws a book at Noi's head. "You ain't got no meat on you anyway scrub!" She yells and I hold back my laugh. He dug himself that hole.
Noi mumbles to himself in annoyance as he walks over to Lady Grandma. Holding her hand, purple light eliminates off their hands and Noi looks super dizzy.
"You okay bro?" I asked concerned and he looks over to me, "You're the worst." He says before walking back to his spot.
"And with that. The last spark of magic has fallen." Lady Grandma states holding out the potion to show us.
"We really killed them," Pierce says sadly and I can't help but feel guilt begin to pain me "We better make this count then," I add looking at him. He looks at me and nods in agreement.
"Do you really think it's worth it though?" Leif asks we all look towards him, uncertainly filling not just my gaze, but the others as well. I didn't want to do this.
"Perhaps. It depends on if you boys and thing are successful. Let's not tell the high Council what happened here tonight. They currently believe the one who had the last soul is currently safe and secluded. If they found out you all hunted it down, they'll have your heads. Not even Asch will be spared." Lady Grandma says glumly. Noi looks like he's gonna be sick.
"There currently is a magic surplus here on Daemos. It should be a while before it runs out. It will definitely give us time to survey the new world. If we're smart about it." Rhys explains, then looks towards Noi, "Noi, are you able to you any magic?"
My brother puts his hands together, only for a few sparks to fly out. His face turns sad, "gone..." he cries. Walking over to him I go and pat his back sympathetically. "You'll be okay, I'll help you out." I try comforting him and he nods sadly. Magic is very important to Daemos, without it your weak. I'll keep him safe.
"It won't be long before the citizens of Daemos run out of magic themselves. When the Council can't provide any solution, things here will crumble. If Asch wants to ascend the throne before-" Lady Grandma goes to say more but Asch cuts her off like the pain in the butt he is.
"Enough. Our mission is clear, we go to the new world and seek out new sources for magic. Which means we take the new world by force!" Asch exclaims and I instantly try to calm him, the last thing I want to take part in is another massacre.
"But we have to be smart about it. We don't get second chances here. Noi is already depleted of magic and after you open the portal-" I go to explain, but Asch cuts me off. F'ing Asch.
"I'm the Prince. My source of magic is far greater." He corrects me and it's getting harder not to roll my eyes or mimic his stupidity to mock him.
"But, not unlimited." Lady Grandma adds. Her tone becoming more serious. "Creating the portal will drain you."
"Asch, we don't have to do this alone. We can always ask your-" Rhys goes to suggest something but the royal pain in the butt cuts him off. Seeing a pattern?
"Enough talk! I care not about the politics of Daemos nor about the risk we are about to take. I would not be here sacrificing everything if I had any second guesses myself. Give me the potion, and let me cast." Asch demands and Lady Grandma sighs.
"You're going in blind Asch." She says worriedly, knowing there's not a lot she can say to convince him otherwise. Asch is stupidly stubborn. One day he will be taken by his pride, and no one will be able to save him.
Lady Grandma hands Asch the potion and he holds it tightly. Ready to cast.
Turning around he looks at all of us, "My knights. If you are loyal to me and the future I vowel to bring once I'm king, then follow me. I understand, should you chose to remain. However, should I see you after you abandon me, oh I will kill you."
Noi looks shocked out of his mind and in honesty, I am too, "Wha?! Asch?!" He yells gobsmacked and I rub his shoulder comfortingly, "Its okay brother. We won't back down now. Therefore there's no need for the threats." I say glaring at Asch.
Asch casts the spell and a beautiful blue light appears. It turns into a wall of crystals that breaks into a giant portal, the other side was strange. Blue sky, with green and brown trees. The ground was a mix of what seems to be grey pavement and grass. With buildings here and there.
Lady Grandma walks up to the portal and reveals its name, "E-ar-th." Lady Grandma reads and we all look at it in awe.
"It's beautiful," I state staring at the new world.
"We have to take over that?!" Noi exclaims, kinda worried. He's always worried.
"E-arth. It shall be mine." Asch states confidently before walking into the portal. I look at the others and shrug before following Asch, the others close behind.
Let's see what this Earth say to offer.
