"Why didn't you die then?" Taehyung mumbled to himself lowly and Jungkook shot his head at his direction.

"Did you say something?"

"Nothing, Get well soon. You've a case to handle" He said with a grin before leaving.

"Why he seems so suspicious to me?" Jungkook thought to himself as he relaxed more into his bed feeling dizzy already.

It was two days later when Jungkook finally got discharged from the hospital. His body felt numb staying in the bed all the time.

"How you feeling kid?" Jin asked as he walked with the boy to his car.

"Much better, I can't wait to continue the case!" Jungkook exclaimed but noticed how Jin turned pale, not smiling with him. After getting into the car, Jin started the engine, driving it to Jungkook's home.

"What happened Uncle? You don't seem happy?" Jungkook asked, breaking the silence inside the car.

"You kidding me kid? I'm so happy, out of your imagination."

"Then what happened? I know something is wrong."

"I planned on telling you later but... so listen kid, after investigating on your car we acknowledged that someone had intentionally failed your car breaks and I highly doubt that the culprit of y/n's case is behind all of this, and..."

"And?"

"It'll be best for you if you stay away from this case. I mean I don't want to risk your life so I'm discharging you from this case." Jin says softly focusing on the road and what he didn't notice was Jungkook's face was froze. He didn't say anything for a minute before again speaking.

"why would I be not working anymore? look uncle, the profession you work at and the path I'll choose for my future is the same and we both know how dangerous and risky this job is! you can't simply discharge me and make me a coward! how will I learn things then?!" Jin pulled the break hardly making the car halt abruptly that made Jungkook starlet as he looked at Jin who was staring at him with a stern face.

"I know this path is full of dangers and I can't always tell you to run away but... I don't want to put you in danger. my sister aka your mom was there during your operation, she knows everything and she won't let me take you in this case, I have promised her Jungkook... please try to understand!"

"Fine! I'm gonna solve this on my own!" Jungkook yelled as he opened the car door and walked away.

"Jungkook-ah! COME BACK I ORDER!" But he was already far away to call. Jin sighs not knowing how to make the boy understand it.

You were about to plop on your bed, tired after the stressful day when the door bell rang. whining to yourself you strolled to the door, peeping through the door hole and realized it was rose.

"Rose! How are you?" you exclaimed after opening the door.

"I'm fine! How you doing?"

"good~ hey come in" Rose smiled as she came inside, taking a seat on your couch.

"What brings you here today?" You asked after you bought her iced tea.

"I can't come?" She said in a sad tone while sipping the drink.

"Yaaah you know I didn't mean that!"

"By the way I had something to tell you..." Rose gave an uneasy smile. you could tell by looking at her face that something was wrong and it made you anxious.

"What? Something happened?"

"Remember that day when we met? I was trying to say something about Taehyung?" You remembered immediate and nodded fastly.

"well, I didn't tell you that time because I thought it would tense you but I can't stay quiet anymore" she breathed out before licking her lips, continuing. "actually I was driving off to my house when I suddenly saw Taehyung's car and I slowed down my car thinking to greet him but then I saw..."

"What?"

"then I saw him getting on his car and... I noticed something... when he was getting on, I noticed his shirt... it was Even though he was wearing a hoodie over it I still could see the red stains. is everything alright?"

"What day it was?"

"The day before I met you I guess?" And then you felt relief as you smiled widely.

"Ahh don't worry, he told me that he was on his way back home when he saw someone got in an accident so he helped him, and there's where he got blood from. Maybe you saw that too" you giggled remembering how tensed he was for a stranger.

"But... Still he was getting on his car from an dark alley I guess? I saw him coming from there as he had a mask on his face hiding almost all of it... It seemed weird to me"

"You're thinking too much Rose! Shrug off and tell me about your debut!" Rose wanted to tell you more but the way you smiled and believed him had shut her up. The way you believed made her to believe too but somehow everything was way too weird.

when Rose left, it was already around eight pm. you plopped on your bed contemplating if you should call taehyung but shook your head, knowing you should not disturb him at his office hours.

Thinking about him you could feel sleep engulfing you but it didn't last long as your phone buzzed beside you, you kinda jumped off the bed before grabbing the phone, guessing it was Taehyung but you tilted your head seeing it was actually Jungkook. You remembered you two exchanged numbers in the meeting in case there was any emergency.

But you were quite surprised as he called so late. What might have happened?

"Hello?"

"Umm Hi... Y/N can we meet?"

"Now?"

"Yeah, I had something to talk about the case."

"Okay where?"

"I'll message you the address" he informed and hanged up. You got up from the bed, getting ready to meet the male.

Your taxi stopped in front of a restaurant. the restaurant looked pretty decent and serene– type of restaurants that used to exist in 80's. a smile crept your lips as you entered feeling the environment quite homely.

And you saw Jungkook there waiting for you on his seat. You walked to him and surprised him by sitting opposite of him.

"Oh I didn't notice you... Hi!" Jungkook greeted with his bunny smile and you couldn't disagree– His bunny smile is very cute.

"Hey, so why did you call me?"

"Just feel like to"

"What?"

"Haha I'm joking..." He laughed but the way he looked told the otherwise. "I called you regarding the case"

"What happened? You found something?"

"Actually I'm not working on the case anymore" he let out, looking away from you.

"What? Why?!" the way you reacted caught him off guard. you were pretty sad and needless to say, it glimpsed through your eyes. By that he felt somewhat special, without himself knowing.

"Actually you know the accident? It was caused by someone and uncle assumes it was by the killer we are looking for so he said that I should be out of this matter from now on..."

"What? That murderer did that? I can't believe it... He tried to harm y-you?" He saw how you went silent and the way you looked down, holding back the tears. He felt strange, he felt hurt seeing you like that.

He felt something he shouldn't.

"Hey it's not your fault okay? I'm just worried that the killer is still free and he's doing damages... I was thinking if you need security or not? I mean he can also harm you. And I wouldn't let that happen." He placed his hand on his mouth after what he said at the last. You also looked at him quite surprised.

"W-what?"

"Nothing! I wa-was just... ahh god!" He flushed red, looking away with his bunny teeth showing, you smiled looking at him before bursting into laughter.

"Hey why are you laughing?!"

"You're too cute Jungkook!" you laughed and didn't notice the way he was now smiling at you.

Jungkook's eyes sprakled as they stared at your happily laughing form, unknowingly feeling better now that you called him cute. many people called him handsome, pretty, cute, angelic due to his looks but you saying it made him feel so damn special.

The way you freely laughed made him admire you silently.

"What am I getting myself into?" He thought to himself still smiling at you laughing.
