《Yugioh 5Ds: Lost Memories》A Taste of an Earthbound Immortal's Power! Is it all my Fault?!
Happy month of June my kittens!!! I don't know I just wanted to start this chapter lol!! This one started off going by the episode but then creative writing juices made it more of original Chappie and I'm super happy it did!!! I think it turned out hopefully alright I hope you kittens like it!! Also the drawing is a peek at Cathy's new look!
So yeah please enjoy and tell me what you think!! This has got some drama and emotions in it!! You all know the lovely drill! I don't own Yugioh 5Ds, just the OCs and this fanfiction! Italicized words are Card names and sentences are of the voice in Cathy!
Till next time!!
Last time on Yugioh 5Ds Lost Memories!! While I was dreaming a nightmare apparently Yusei and Crow left to go find the Dark Signers alone!! We had to go find them!! But by the time I did a real Dark Signer came in with a mark that I remembered from my vision. And Yusei was facing him! Not only was this just a Dark Signer but also he was Kalin Kessler from my past!! When I was a part of Yusei's and the other's duel gang to help Satellite! And let me tell ya he was not happy to see me and blamed me for their fall out... I hope he was lying but I don't feel like he is. Yusei was getting his butt whooped and the minute Kalin drew a specific card, I knew I had to get to him! But how?! I've got a bad feeling about this!
I could still hear all of their screams echoing in my head!! I kept running, letting my feet glide and take me to I have no idea where. I just had to get to Yusei. Somehow.
Though I stopped and gasped when I saw purple lights flying to the sky and towards this weird big looking thing in the clouds that began to pulse and glow purple. The screams finally stopped, but that didn't subside my worry and fear at what this thing was.
"What is it?" I mumbled to myself my eyes wide.
"Wait?! You!! What are you doing in my head?! Trying to stop me?" I growled at the voice in my head.
"Warn me about what?"
Suddenly the earth began to shake violently dropping me to my knees while the wind picked up hard. Then right where that "heart of the beast" was, a big bright beam of purple and white light shot down from the heavens!
"Hey voice in my head!! What's going on?!"
Great so pretty much a god was waking up with a full stomach... This must be the thing Goodwin was telling us about.
Then emerging right after the light show disappeared, a giant blue and black hand came out of the ground! Slowly rising was this humanoid type monster growling and I swear this didn't even look like half of its size and almost looked like it was touching the sky!!
"That's an Earthbound Immortal?! Goodwin didn't tell us how big they could be!!"
I gasped getting up. What about Yusei?! He's facing that thing!!
Running once more along the path of the purple flames, but keeping my distance, I tried to find the turbo duelists!
Ccapac Apu began to roar again causing the ground to shake forcing my legs to stop and try to hold on.
"What's happening?!"
No! He's lying! Looking up at the immortal, I could see it raising it's enormous hand in a direction quite a ways away from me. That's where Yusei was!
Seeing Stardust Dragon to fly up and attack that thing only confirmed my suspicions. Getting back up on my feet, I ran as fast as I could to that direction no matter how much my legs burned!
It's hand was coming down faster before I felt the impact on the ground and also the sound of a small explosion through the loud noise of the road crumbling. Something in my heart made it skip a beat and stop, especially when after a few more seconds of running I saw the infamous red duel runner crashed on the road smoking and decimated.
Panting, my heart and body stopped frozen. "N- no... Yusei..." I searched everywhere through the energy for him! He has to be here!!
I looked a bit where the voice directed and gasped. There, through the lights, laying on the ground fetal position on his side holding his abdomen, was the black and yellow haired male. I could just see his pained expression!
"Yusei!!" I cried out running to him but stopped since the Dark Signer symbol's energy blocked me and I didn't want to get close to it... But he's right there! In pain! "Yusei! Are you okay?! Please answer me!!"
He remained unmoving on the ground!
Then another duel runner came into earshot and I saw Kalin's runner drive to his body while he just laughed. He stopped by him cackling maniacally. "I can't believe it!! It was Yusei's crummy runner crashing that saved him from his demise!! You really are a joke!"
I growled feeling that power boiling in my chest, hotter and faster. "Kalin!!" I hissed clenching my fist.
He just looked at me and laughed more smiling wickedly, "awww do you feel left out, like usual Cathy~? Don't worry, my Earthbound Immortal will gladly finish you off since he couldn't to Yusei!! Then he'll end you both together like a happy couple!"
I heard the beast growl almost in agreement while he laughed louder. That was the tipping point when it boiled over. I don't know how, but I was right next to the energy barrier without even feeling my feet run to it.
Bringing my fist up, I banged it against the wall of purple flames. It felt like the power in me was being transferred into my fist. I didn't even notice the small dark ink seeping out of my knuckles and landing against the flames, causing them to suddenly turn dark and black. It spread through almost the whole one side of the symbol.
I heard Kalin hiss in pain as he looked at his mark on his right arm. Where I could see that one part of the mark almost looked to be on fire with similar black flames. He gripped it tight almost as if trying to soothe the pain he felt and deserved.
Then through the now black energy flames, I was able to walk onto the other side easily. I didn't question it, immediately running to Yusei's side kneeling next to him.
"How did you...?!" I heard Kalin hiss confused but I ignored him lightly touching Yusei's shoulder.
"Please Yusei... Answer me." I whispered.
But now back to his usual psycho self, Kalin laughed again, "he can't! And it's all because of you Cathy!"
"Me?!" I asked not in anger but scared. I didn't feel the power anymore and just really worried at my best friend groaning in pain in front of me.
"Everything is your fault!! You always held him back ever since the beginning cause you're useless! If you didn't hold him back and just let him see what was the correct way, then he wouldn't have gotten himself into this duel in the first place and wouldn't get hurt!" He accused me now anger in his voice.

I felt my eyes pool with tears trying to not listen to him! But there was a feeling in my chest, that agreed with him. Yusei is hurt. I couldn't help him. All this time he's been worried about me, focusing his attention on me and protecting me, and I held him back. I'm to blame.
There was a sound coming from Kalin's duel runner before a voice came on. "Kalin. It's time you left. We have something to discuss."
"Tch. Fine... Hehehe I will be back Cathy to finish you and him off!! But don't think I forgot what you've done and what you just did, so you better get it that I will be back for you especially! Remember this, and remind Yusei if he lives, you won't be able to save Satellite! It's fate is sealed just like your's." I heard him call his Earthbound Immortal back as I felt the ground shake assuming it disappeared along with the mark on the land. "I'll be back. But let me tell you this Cathy... Yusei should've left you in that fire."
Then just like that he drove off leaving me frozen with silent tears looking at Yusei. I gently turned him over on his back and gasped at the sight! Lodged in his lower right abdomen was a metal shard causing him to bleed through his shirt.
"Yusei...! I'm so sorry!" I whispered sniffling placing my hand on his chest lightly. I looked at the helmet he had on then at the red broken runner. Growling in anger, I took his helmet off of him trying not to make his pain worst, before chucking it at the runner earning a bang at contact.
Tears fell faster while he kept making painful noises and I hugged him lightly looking around. "Please! Anyone! Help him!!" I called out crying harder. "Please!!!"
I can't do anything! I can't help him! I don't know how!! Kalin was right!
"Cathy!! Yusei!!" I heard voices call out and looked ahead to see the group running to us.
"Please help him!" I cried out to them when they got closer.
They finally got to us they looked at the wound and their fear and panic was powerful to feel and suffocate. I had to look down back at the male I held to try and not feel them. "It looks bad." Blitz said.
"We have to get him to a doctor!" Rally panicked when Crow's runner drove and stopped next to us.
"Quick, Cathy get on with Yusei! We'll take him to Martha's." He said as Blitz and Tank took Yusei out of my arms. Rally helped me up though I was too stiff to want to move.
I got behind Crow on his runner, then they laid Yusei on my lap gently across. I used all my strength to hold him up close though also trying to not disturb the wound. The arm lever pulled down securing us a bit while Crow talked about meeting the others where Martha was. I pulled out my helmet from my bag and was about to put it on, but put it on Yusei instead.
I remember that name Martha... Yusei told me about her...
Thinking of his name while in my arms like this made the tears return quietly.
"Be careful everyone. Good luck." Crow said to them one last time before we began driving off.
It might have been 5 or even 10 minutes, but I honestly don't know. I've been watching and holding onto Yusei, keeping an eye on the metal shard lodged in his side. The bleeding was getting worst and spreading. It looked like the more seconds passed, the more in pain he looks.
"He'll be okay Cathy. Yusei is the toughest person I know." Crow said driving faster through the streets.
I wanted to believe him... I really did, but every groan and grunt in pain that the male in my arms made, made it harder to...
"Come on Yusei... You can do it." I whispered squeezing his shoulder gently. "You have to get through this."
Nothing I said seemed to help or even make it through his ears. I wanted him to hear me. So I could tell him that he's stuck by me and I will stick by him. Tell him he has to live to get back at Kalin! Tell him I'm sorry.
We finally made it to a run down two story building as Crow put the runner in park and hopped off taking off his helmet. He ran to the front door and repeatedly banged on it calling out to inside, "Martha! It's Crow! Wake up we need your help!! Quick!"
Checking on the wound again, I felt the heat and sweat from Yusei against me and I really hope he's not getting a fever. That's when I heard a response while the door opened, "Crow what's wrong? It's almost 2 am..."
I looked over hearing the woman's voice. It sounded gentle and stern, but something about it made me want to choke up and freeze bursting like a child. Her appearance even looked like a motherly figure as well, like gentle and a kind woman. Her blue diamond shaped pendant was what caught my attention. It looked almost like mine.
"You have to help us." Crow pointed to my direction and our eyes locked instantly. My grip got tighter as did my throat when so many emotions hit me from what I saw. Shock, disbelief, hope, confusion, and sorrow...
"Cathy...?" I heard her whisper, and that's when the dam broke. My eyes that haven't cried the whole journey flooded with tears again as I hugged Yusei closer to show her him first.
Pleading, "please. Help him."
Rally and the others, even Blister, made it back to the cottage about 30 minutes after me and Crow. We had to grab blankets since they came in in nothing but their underwear. Explaining they gave their clothes away to some shady thieves that tried taking Yusei's duel runner while they brought it over with his helmet as well. That Rally wouldn't let go and held onto it for dear life.
The tension inside the living room was strong and thick. Silence engulfing everyone, only listening to the sound of Yusei in the other room yelling in pain as the doctor and Martha tried to fix him.
I couldn't stay in there listening to it happen. Hearing him cry out in pain, I had to walk out of the house and be left alone in my thoughts. Nobody stopped me. And when Moonlight Fairy tried talking to me, I pushed her back and away.
So now here I was. On a swing set facing away from the building in an old playground I don't even remember.
I swayed gently, trying to almost comfort myself, but continuously stare down at the white helmet in my palms in front of my now blood stained shirt. A big spot in it no longer resembling the magenta shirt from my past.
I ran my thumbs gently along the visor of the helmet before flashes from a few hours ago came to my head. Kalin's smirk and words prominently echoing all around me as if bouncing off the trees and building.
'Everything is your fault... You always held him back ever since the beginning cause you're useless... Yusei should've left you in that fire.'
I felt now nothing but rage boiling, looking ahead to almost see the faint image of Kalin in front of me. Growling and yelling, I tossed my helmet at the image but it only phased through him hitting a tree.
He only cackled at me once more then disappearing. Leaving me alone in my thoughts and mind. I was now no longer angry but guilty. He was right...
"Mind if I join you?" A gentle female voice said coming from behind me.
Gasping I turned my head surprised to see Martha right there smiling a little at me! She had her hands folded in front of her and her black eyes seemed glossy and shining. Her emotions on full display. She was relieved, happy, sorrowful, and also nervous. Her smile even didn't seem all that joyous either but solemn.
I turned my head back away, trying to not feel her emotions but my abilities seemed heightened so I could still get a sense of what Martha was feeling at this moment.
Just saying nothing seemed like the better option while I continued to rock back and forth. My ears heard her walking closer to me, making me wonder how did I not hear her coming up to me, and stopped beside where I sat.
"Yusei is doing alright. He should be making a complete recovery in a few days. The doctor made sure all shards were removed and that he's stitched up." I stayed silent looking down finding the grass more interesting. I should be jumping up and down ecstatic!! Yusei is okay! He's alive!! Yet, why does this guilt still resonate in me?
Martha sighed with patience and continued, "also Crow is tending to the others since they're gonna catch a cold staying in their underwear." She tried joking with a small laugh but I remained mute. "He's gonna be making your favorite chicken noodle soup. Fresh carrots and all. Just how he knows you like it..."
That's when I gripped the rope of the swing tighter. Now not only did I feel guilty about Yusei, but now with Martha! She doesn't know. I don't want to tell her... How do you tell someone who's practically your mother that you don't know who she is?!
"Crow told me Cathy..." Apparently like that!
I looked up at her now wide eyed seeing her eyes looking ahead brimmed with tears. Mine began to fill up as well. "I- I'm so sorry." I whispered feeling all of her sadness and pain.
But she didn't show it on her face. Instead her frown curved into a smile before every sad emotion was mixed in with joy. Martha looked down at me before kneeling by my side and placing her warm hands on both sides of my face.
"It doesn't matter. You're alive. You're okay. Cathy, I don't mind if you don't remember me or not... You're home now." She told me looking straight and deeply into my eyes.
Not saying anything else she wiped my tears away and brought me closer to her in a tight gentle hug. I felt frozen and stiff before finally crying more and louder hugging her back tightly kneeling in front of her.
"I'm so sorry!! It's all my fault!" I cried into her shoulders probably staining it with tears now just repeating my words over and over again. I felt so vulnerable right now even my emotions were getting the best of me. "I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry."
"It's alright Cathy. It's not your fault." Martha said after a few minutes of her holding me like a child, which I definitely felt like at this moment. She pulled away a bit making me look up at her seeing the kind smile again. "Come with me. I have to show you something."
Getting up first, she took my arm and pulled me up while I grabbed my bag then walked back to the house. I followed her inside through the back door hearing the boys talk in the kitchen. I stopped and looked at the infirmary room that was next to the stairway. The door was closed but I know Yusei was in there recovering.
I wanted to just take one peek to check on him, though Martha's voice stopped me before I could take a step to it. "Cathy. Up here." Looking up she was at the to of the steps looking at me. "Come on." She told me and I nodded walking up the stairs and followed her down the hall.
We past a few rooms that had their doors partially open and walking past them I could see a few kids asleep in beds. This was an orphanage wasn't it? Like a foster home to Satellite children who are homeless... I stayed here with Jack, Crow, and Yusei... We were all orphans.
I guess that never dawned on me... I don't have parents. But looking at Martha, I didn't feel like I was an orphan in my past. She was a mom to me and them. What just happened earlier proved it.
We finally stopped at a door that was completely closed. "What are we doing here?" I asked her confused why she would take me to this room.
"I thought you might want to see this room. It may help you." Was all she said taking a key from her apron and unlocking the door. Then with a steady push she opened it up where a very loud and audible creak was made! Was this door that old! How did it not wake up the kids?
I looked into the room but it was so dark I couldn't see anything. I gave Martha a confused look raising an eyebrow, "don't tell me there is a dead body in there?"
She laughed and shook her head feeling bothered, "just get in there. I promise it's not bad."
"Uh huh..." I said still not sure but stepped in side the dark room where only one window up ahead seem to be the only source of light. That was till I subconsciously placed my hand on the wall to find a light switch turning it on.

I also don't have a set schedule, and this is just being used to improve my grammar and just as a hobby, nothing more.
