: Thank you so much for choosing to read the story! The story is currently being edited in some places cause I've been writing this book since 2015! So if there are still some remaining cringe then I apologize for that lol! I just want to get out of the way I don't own Yugioh 5Ds or the game Reverse of Arcadia that it is based off of. I only own this fan fiction, the OCs and the OC cards! Enjoy!
I woke up to the sound of beeping. It was loud and very annoying. I couldn't open my eyes because they felt too heavy. I could also hear muffled voices. They sounded so close yet so distant from me. Wait I think I can hear what they're saying.
"Sir, the subject is waking up." A feminine voice said.
"Oh really. Well we should put her in a special room so she doesn't get too scared." A male voice said. He sounded kind but also untrustworthy. Whoever this guy is I should keep away from him.
"Yes sir." And that was all I heard before my mind started to wander again.
When I woke up this time my eyes opened. I looked around and saw that I was lying down on a soft bed. The room was white and next to the bed was a little table with a vase and yellow flowers. I looked to my left and saw a lady with a clip board and light short blue hair next to me. She saw that I was awake and smiled gently.
"Hello. My name is Syria. I'm glad your finally awake." She said in a gentle voice.
"Where am I?" Was all I could ask while trying to sit up.
"Why your in the Arcadia Movement. We are a team that helps duelists with psychic abilities try to control them."
"That's nice. But can I ask you something." She nodded her head while still writing on her clipboard. "Who am I?"
She dropped her clipboard and looked at me with wide eyes. Dang if they were any wider I'm pretty sure they would fall out of her head! Wait what the heck is she doing? And was there always a phone on the wall? I can't here what or who was on the other end but this was all I heard.
"Hello, is Sayer there... Hello sir, it's Syria... I'm with the newest recruit and well there's something wrong... Well it seems she can't remember anything, not even her name... What should I do?... Oh okay sir... Yes, sir... Thank you." Once she hung up she walked over to me and picked up the clipboard that was still on the floor. For some reason I could feel what was inside of her. Like her emotions and personality. She has a good heart and is caring, but she was also afraid of something. I could tell she has a deep secret that's haunting her but what?
"What's going on?" I asked skeptical on this girl. I mean I don't know who she is and it doesn't seem she knows who I am. Plus it felt like she was a puppet.
"Mister Sayer has requested that I bring you to him."
"Oh and who is this 'Mister Sayer'?" I asked still not trusting her.
"He is the founder of the Arcadia Movement. He was also the one who found you and brought you here. Now please follow me." She started walking out of the room. I immediately followed her while looking around. As we kept walking down the halls I saw a mirror and wanted to see how I looked, and let me tell you that when you have know idea who you are and don't even know what you look like then when you see you self it is a totally weird feeling. Well here's what I look like.

My hair was long that it ended at the end of my shoulder blades. It was such a bright yellow that I'm pretty sure if there was a light on it then it would blind my enemies! But I also had weird semi bright yet dark magenta streaks that were on my bangs and about maybe 4 on the rest. I had a fair complexion and dang was I seriously skinny, I look like a stick!!! But can I say that I love my eyes!!!!! I had piercing bright orange eyes that I think if I stared into someone else's that I could see their soul! But they also looked a little dull. I must've been looking at myself for too long because Syria came up to me. She was as tall as me but looked a little older.
"You don't remember what you looked like?" I picked up a strand that was next to my bangs and had a streak in it.
"It feel like I'm meeting someone new for the first time but yet so familiar. Why can't I remember who I am? What happened?"
"Sayer will have the answers." I looked at her and stared into her brown eyes. I guess I was right about looking into someone souls because I saw a reflection in her eyes. It looked like a vision. It was a boy lying down on some kind of machine and he looked in pain! Why can't I look away?! Suddenly her eyes went wide and she immediately looked away and started to continue walking. But what was that? Was that the pain her heart? Was that her secret? Oh well.
As we walked we reached an elevator. She swiped a card and the doors opened. I walked inside as she pressed a button that was on the top. During the elevator ride I couldn't help but think about that boy on that weird table looking thing. I snapped out of it when the doors opened to a floor that didn't look that much different then the rest of the floors. Syria turned left and I assumed that I was still going to follow her. Dang how big is this building?! Finally we ended up at two big red doors that I guess was the main office. Syria knocked on the doors and I heard a come in from the person inside.
"Sir I have brought the subject."
"Good." I walked inside when she stepped aside. For an office of someone that this girl talks like he's a savior of peace he sure has a creepy office. Something I'm gonna add to the list of reasons to be skeptical about this guy. When I looked at the desk that was in front of the windows I had another note to add to the list. This guy had the look of creepy!! Starting with the terrible haircut! He had dark red hair and had bangs that swooped to the right. And when I mean swoop I literally mean !!!! Oh and his greenish yellow eyes that were slit definitely made it on the list!
"Welcome. Please have a seat." He said in a gentle voice that would've made me trust him if I already didn't. I refused and continued standing like a statue while giving him my best stoned faced. He must've got the message and sighed but continued talking. "My name is Sayer and I am the founder of the Arcadia Movement."
"I kinda figured since Syria, I think her name was, talks about you like your a savior to mankind. Now I don't kno-"

"The Arcadia Movement helps psychic duelist control their abilities and gives them a place to stay when the whole world has shunned them for who they are." He said while interrupting me which was a big mistake. Oh how I wish to I could just slap him and his stupid haircut!!! But I suppressed it and kept a calm stoned look.
"That doesn't explain who I am and why I'm here."
"Oh yes, Syria did mention you have amnesia. Let me see if I have your files." He started looking through a drawer. Why does he seem a little familiar. Like I've seen him someplace before. "Ah ha I found it. Let me see... Here we go! Your name is Cat Simmons. You are 16 and you were born here in Domino City."
"Cat Simmons? That's a stupid name. Where are my parents? Why do I have amnesia?" I didn't know why but the name 'Cat Simmons' felt hollow. Like it wasn't who I was.
"I'm afraid to tell you this but your parents died in a fire 2 weeks ago and you were caught in it. I was there when you were barely making it out. When you were close to coming out, the building tumbled and you were trapped and unconscious. I got you out when the paramedics arrived. They took you and 3 days later I got a call right here saying you were alive and well. I felt so relieved. But then they told me you were going to be in a coma for who knows how long. And when you wake up you will have no parents and no family. I couldn't let that happen to someone as young as you."
"So I am to assume you took me in without a purpose?" I didn't like what he was saying. Am I supposed to believe this guy? Did my parents really die?
"Well yes and no. I was really surprised when the doctors told me you made it. They even said it was impossible for someone to survive that sort of incident without any scratches. I knew immediately you were special!" His eyes held something else. But what? Interest? Determination?
"You said it yourself that this is place for psychic 'duelist'. How do you even know I can duel?" I wasn't going to allow this guy tell me stuff that could or couldn't be true.
"The doctors found this in your pockets. I have a feeling that this was what protected you in the fire." He pulled a deck out and placed it in front of me. I stared at it and felt drawn to it. Like they were something more then cards. As I placed my hand on it I heard a voice. The voice was high pitched and girly.
"Milady!!!! You are alright!!!!! I am so relieved!!!!!" I drew my hand back like it was fire and looked up at Sayer. He was watching me with great focus. I looked back at the deck and drew the top card. It was the picture of a fairy with big pointy butterfly wings. The wings were black and purple. She had long brown hair and bright blue eyes. She wore a purple torn dress and no shoes. She looked like she was praying with a full moon in the background. I looked at the name and saw her name was Moonlight Fairy.
"What the..."
"Is something the matter Cat?" I looked up and saw Sayer was smiling and looking at me. I could see in his eyes that he was waiting for something and that he had another motive. I sure as heck wasn't going to trust him, but maybe I shouldn't think so ill of him just yet. After all he saved me and he gives people who have nothing a place to stay.
"Nothing." I put Moonlight Fairy back in my deck and looked Sayer.
"Well then I hope that you will like living here and get your memories back. Now Syria will show you where your new room is. You will also be sharing it with two other protégés." Suddenly Syria was right next to me. Was she here the whole time? She looked at me and gave me a card.
"This is a card that will get you on the elevator and to your room. Don't lose it. Now your room is on the 6th floor to left. Second to last door. Tell your new roommates that Sayer sent you and you are a new recruit that will be living with them." I could tell she was trying hard to avoid my eyes. Which is probably why I couldn't see what she was feeling or the boy. When she was done I turned around and started walking out until Sayer started talking again. Can't this guy shut up?!
"Oh and one more thing Cat! You are not to tell anyone else that you are not a psychic duelist. Understood?" I turned my head at him and said I understood. Then I walked away. As I was walking out of the door and closed it I heard Syria talking to Sayer.
"Sir, that girl is something I have no idea about. When she looked into my eyes her eyes seemed to be glowing. She also seemed to have seen something." I could tell she was afraid. Is that a good thing?
"Syria, oh Syria. That girl is more important then she even knows." He sure sounded confident.
"But sir, what if she resists?"
"Well then we'll just have to convince her." And that was all I wanted to hear as I walked away. I got onto the elevator and hit the button for the 6th floor. I was on the 30th so this was going to be a LONG trip. It had to have been maybe 3 minutes when it suddenly stopped on the 18th floor. Great and here I was getting lonely. The doors opened to a teenage girl who looked to be my age and height. Wait is she a psychic duelist, but she doesn't look like it?
She had dark burgundy hair that was only chin length but two strands were longer and framed her face. The rest of her bangs seemed to be held up by a strange hair curler. She wore a red dress looking outfit with a dark red skirt. She also wore thigh high black socks and red shoes. On her neck was a choker and a green pendent. As she walked on the elevator she didn't even look at me and pressed the 30 button. I guess she's going to see Sayer. I looked at her and felt her emotions.
She was sad and lonely. Mistreated and misunderstood for her whole life. I could tell she was in need of a friend. Someone who will listen to her and someone she can really trust. And I knew I can't keep judging people on their appearance, and well I could tell she had a pure heart. Well here goes nothing to try and make friends. I smiled at her and said.
"Hi! I'm Cat!" I knew she could hear me because her eyes widen only a little bit like it was the first time someone talked to her. But she still didn't look at me and didn't even tell me her name. Oh well that ain't gonna stop me! "I'm a newbie so I won't know anyone here and well I was kinda hoping we could be friends. But hey if you don't want to that's cool. I'd thought that I should try to introduce myself."
"Akiza." I heard her say. Woah was she actually talking to me! Yes mission is finally working!
"Oh is that your name? That's really pretty!! A-ki-za! Well nice to meet you!!! That's a way better name then Cat! Ugh I wonder if there's a way to change it." I heard a light chuckle and I knew it was from her. I didn't think it was that funny. Suddenly the doors opened and I realized that it was the 6th floor. "Well this is my stop! I hope to see you around Akiza!!!! Bye bye!!"
As the door was closing I waved to her and smiled a smile so big I think my face is going to get stuck. But I knew that the sadness that clouded her before was starting to lift because I saw a ghost of a smile on her face. I hope I do see her again. I turned left and walked down the hallway when I finally reached the second to last door. I was about to swipe the card when I heard 2 voices. Yelling?
"I CAN'T BELIEVE SAYER IS MAKING US SHARE OUR ROOM WITH ANOTHER DUDE!!!!!!" A loud voice said that made me think the dead could hear him from the pits of the Underworld.
"Calm down Liquid. I'm pretty sure Sayer has a logical explanation to his reason." Said a voice that made me think he was nothing but smartness.
"How can you say that, Okita?! What if this guy is a germaphobe, or he snores, or he-" it was at this time I opened the door. They both looked at me and the one who looked like he was pacing, and I'm guessing was Liquid, started turning as red as a tomato. He was a little taller then me with light brown hair and blue eyes. On one of the beds was I guess Okita. He had dark brown hair and glasses. When I he saw me he chuckled.
"Or 'he' is actually a she. Welcome you must be our new roommate. I'm Okita and the boy over there is Liquid. Go on, boy, use your words." The guy said like he was a puppy.
"Aw shut your pie hole! Hi I'm Liquid. Sorry if you heard that." He said while holding his hand out. I smiled and shook it.
"It's all right! I'm Cat Simmons!" I said while still hating the name. I also for some reason couldn't get a read on these guys. Like they were hollow and are just puppets that can speak. Should I trust them? Oh well we are going to be living together.
"Um hey Cat. Are you ok?" Liquid asked while letting go of my hand and looked at me.
"Huh? Oh yes. I'm sorry I was spacing out." I said putting on my best reassuring smile.
"Oh well. How bout a duel? Call it an initiation for being our new roommate." Okita said while smiling and getting up and walking towards me.
"Um ok. But I don't think I'll be good just to warn ya."
"That's alright. Oh and before we get started, here is your duel disk. Now I hope we can have a fun duel." He handed me a silver duel disk and walked out of the room. I guess we were going to duel I the hallways.
"Uh yeah!" I followed him as Liquid did too. My guess was he was going to be the referee.
"Alright I want a clean duel. Each of you will start with 8000 Life Points! Oh and please try to hold you psychic abilities back so we don't destroy the place! Alright ready, set..."
"DUEL!!!!" We both shouted and activated our disks.
"Well how about ladies go first."
"Thank you. I draw." I looked at my cards and I immediately found the perfect strategy. "I place one monster in face down defense position. Then I place 2 cards face down cards, now I activate the spell card 'Foolish Burial". With this I send one card from my deck to the graveyard. And I end!"
"My turn, I draw. I summon Dustructotron! Now my monster shall attack your face down."
Dustructotron attacked my face down monster with purple lightning out of its hand, but when it looked like it hit the lightning shot back at Okita. He lost 200 Life Points.
When the smoke disappeared right in front of me was a huge guy in purple and white armor. He had a helmet that covered most of his face. He was in a kneeling position with a sword at his side and a big shield in front of him. The shield was also purple and white but had a picture of a crescent moon and gem on the front.
"I apologize, but I will not allow you to harm milady." Wait this guy/ card can talk too?! Dang I think I'm going crazy. "Milady do not forget my ability.
"Huh... Oh right! Since you flipped up Moonlight Guardian, I can send one 'Moonlight' monster from my graveyard to the top of my deck." I grabbed the card from my graveyard and placed it on top of my deck.
Before I forget, Moonlight Guardian is a level 4 monster with points and points.
"Quite a smart move. You played Foolish Burial so that way when I attacked your monster and activate it's affect you knew exactly what you were gonna draw. Very smart. In that case I end with a face down, and since it's my end phase, I activate Dustructotron's special ability. By paying 1000 Life points I can target one spell or trap card on your field and destroy it!" Dang it, I hope he doesn't destroy the one I need. "I choose the one on the left!"
Yes!!!! My plan can still go on and he just lost 1000 LP for no good reason! "My turn! Draw!" I didn't even bother looking because I knew exactly what to do.
"I summon Moonlight Princess in attack mode!" Moonlight Princess was level 4 with and . She had short light blue hair that went to the middle of her neck and ruby red eyes. She wore a simple blue and purple ball gown and also had a tiny crown that had a crescent moon and gem in the middle.
"Bout time you summoned me, peasant." Great she can talk too! And I do not like her attitude!!!! Whatever just ignore it.
"I now activate my trap card, 'Royal Herald'! If I have at least Moonlight Princess I can special summon Moonlight King or Queen from my hand. And luckily I have Moonlight King!" When I placed the card down light started seeping through the floors. Then a bulky man slowly rose from it. He had snowy white hair with a short beard to match. His eyes were also ruby red that sorta matched the gems on his huge crown. He wore a suit of armor with a sword and cape. He was level 8 with and .
