It's all thanks to White Diamond's mental powers. When I intercepted them, she very stupidly let me control her body, supposedly to help me.

Before you arrived, I was thinking of blasting Homeworld with the powers of all three Diamonds combined.

Bluebird and all your other allies are on Homeworld! Did you intend to sacrifice them?

When I learned of the existence of that weapon, it immediately occurred to me to put it to better use after my first plan with Ruby & Aquamarine failed miserably.
