[Somewhere in the abandoned area of Homeworld.]
(Steven and his friends, sitting in a circle, discuss their next move.)
Since we are all more relaxed, now we can think about what we should do from now on.
Actually, I don't know what we should do.
Infiltration was the only advantage we had and we just lost it, so I don't know what we sould do either.
There must be some way to get through this.
Maybe there is, but I don't know what it is.
What happened to the Diamonds? They would have already solved this faster and easier.
I have no idea where they could be.
That's true. We tried to contact them, but to no avail.
Don't you think something has happened to them?
Oh come on, they are the Diamonds, the most powerful beings in the universe. They can take care of themselves.
Is that what you think?
They must probably be having fun right now, while we're in big trouble here.
We shouldn't be so sure about that.
Mm-hmm.
Please don't remind me of the Diamonds anymore. Now, the most important thing is to save our own lives and make it through this.
Well if we don't have the Diamonds, then there's nothing we can do.
I think so, too.
We have to try something, even if we fail.
We have already tried something and failed miserably.
Don't underestimate yourself, Steven. I'm sure you did your best to save us.
You're right, but there are still many Gems to be saved and I don't know what to do.
We will come up with something soon.
On second thought, how about we directly attack the leaders?
Huh?
Yeah, so far we have been doing things little by little and with a low profile. But, what if we stop hiding and attack head-on?
*adjusts her visors* Hmm, yes, that might work.
Seriously?
If we overthrow the leaders, the other manipulated Gems will no longer be a problem.
Without a leader to guide and manipulate them, they won't know what to do and will most likely give up.
Exactly!
Well, I'm not too sure about this.

Splintered Worlds
Fantasy and SF meet in this unique portal novel. Five unique kingdoms are locked in a war quite unlike any other. But it is in the Kingdom of the Stone God that Aelia lives: a not-so-special girl who is desperate to be accepted by the Mage Academy. But if she's nothing special, why are such strange things happening to her? Like the distant voices she hears that are telling absurdities about reality. Like the details she's starting to notice that no one else seems to. Like how quickly she's able to learn and improve. Could Aelia have been born for a greater purpose -- a purpose she's somehow forgotten? Splintered Worlds combines portal fantasy with a unique fantasy setting.

It was a dark and long night, The stars and moon that once illuminate the way had darkened. Looking over the dark horizon, one had the fleeting sensation of seeing things in the dark: forgotten idols, lost giants, and monsters from the abyss consciousness. It brought him here, into these forsaken lands. He didn't know what it was that compelled him. A longing? A hope? An illusion? A vision?
