"Ansh, can we talk?"

I look at my family.

"C'mon, guys let's give them some space." My sister nods at me and everyone goes upstairs.

"Vinnie, what is there to talk about?"

"I stopped talking to Nailea."

I scoff. "You promised that last time. I'm sorry, Vinnie, but-"

"Let me explain."

I've never felt pain like this. Seeing Vinnie like this is like s wound that was recently opened. Fresh, just like before, and painful.

"I never stopped loving you. I realized what I did was wrong. Nailea was using me. As soon as we broke up, she tried to kiss me. Then I cut ties with her. I tried to tell you but your friends would beat me up."

He pulls out something from his pocket and holds it. What is it?

"Vinnie, I didn't know. Had I known..." Would I have gotten back together with him? Probably.

"Vinnie, I love you too. I regret breaking up with you everyday. I wish I hadn't." I kiss Vinnie. I missed this so much.

"Ansh, come outside."

Fireworks light the sky. Vinnie gets down on one knee. I gasp. I hear cheers from behind me. My family.

"Ansh, ever since that date, I knew you were the one for me. These past 5 months have been hell without you. I cant survive without you. And I want to be with you. Forever. Baby, will you marry me?"

I don't even have to think about it. "YES!" My family screams from behind me. Vinnie lifts me up and spins me.
