i walked up the stairs crying.

why don't they care about me? i wondered

i walked in my room and to my bathroom, i slammed the doors shut.

it most likely woke up my siblings, i sat on the floor sobbing

my parents could care less about me.

"your a piece of shit gus." i said to myself

i stood, i opened my bathroom door then my room door and walked down stairs

everyone looked up at me

"i get it, you guys wish you never had me. i'm a disappointment to our family. ok i get it. i'm not the son you want. i'm not who you want me to be. i do drugs, i have tattoos, and i'm depressed. it's fine. you guys can kick me out. i'll find my way." i said to my parents

"gus we don't want to kick you out. but we don't know what you need or how to talk to you." my dad said

"i can just live with grandpa or i can just live on the streets." i said back looking down

"gussie we just don't know what to do, we aren't saying you have to leave or your not wanted. we just are stuck do you understand?" my mom said

i nodded my head "sorry, i ruined my room and bathroom." i apologized

"it's ok gus, we are sorry for not being there for you when you need us." my dad said

i went upstairs and packed my school backpack and this other one

i brought them downstairs with me, everyone looked at me confused

"gus what are you doing? we just said you didn't have to leave." my mom said laughing nervously that her son is going to leave her

"i know but i need time away from you guys and this family, i'm sorry but i can't be around people who all of the sudden have a care about their son, i will be back soon." i said putting my hood on and one of the backpacks on my back and one in my hand

"gus, your parents want a relationship with you and your just going to leave, and most likely is just going to get high everyday in the streets." jordan said with everyone agreeing with what he said to the 16 yr old boy

"they don't want a relationship with me. they really don't, they just want to make our family look perfect. i'm not going to waste my energy on people who don't want me." i said walking to the door

"oh few more things" i said as they all looked at me

"to all of you, you guys must really think low of me for thinking i will get high every night, and to you guys *you guys don't want a relationship with your son, you guys just want to make sure our family doesn't go on the news -and all of you think my life will go nowhere just wait, i'll prove all of you wrong." i said picking up my backpack again

"where can we find you, if we need you?" my mom asked me

"grandpa's or 'on the streets getting high'" i said but quoting jordan on the last part

with that, i was walking to my grandpa's at like 3am
