"Mommy...Ma..Ma..Mommy" Chase wailed.

"Chase.... please, stop crying." Mira begged.

"Ahhhh aahhh...... Mo....m...m...y"

"It's okay.. it's okay, Don't cry." Mira tried again.

Chase was playing as usual when suddenly he slipped and scraped his knee. The sudden unexpected hit reminded him of his mommy.

"Uhh...uhh..uh..." he kept on crying. Mira was too scared to see him like this. She tried her best to calm him down but he was giving her hard time. She made sure to apply some antiseptic when his wailing slowed down but the moment he grasped she was applying something he started crying hard.

Mira sighed before pulling her phone to call Sharon.

"Hello" she heard Sharon on the other side "Is everything alright?"

Before Mira could answer Chase cry reached Sharon "Why is he crying?" She paniced.

"He scraped his knee while playing. I washed it and applied Anti septic, but he asking for you. He is been crying continuously."

"I am on my way. I will be there in 10 minutes. Please try to calm him down." She said before she cut the call.

"See... I called mommy she said she is coming in 2 minutes." She said showing her phone. And the phone got his attention. His cute little blue eyes immediately went wide with excitement. There are little reminiscent of tears on his now flushed face. She sighed in relief when she saw his tears stopped.

"I want that..." he said extending his little hands to grab her phone.

"Ah-ah Chase." Mira said pushing her phone into her pant pockets.

"I wanna play game.... I want...Mo...m...my" he started again.

Mira sighed giving her phone to just make him stop crying 'what harm could he do? Her phone is however protected by password.'

But little did she know this little lad has so many tricks up his sleeve.

Lily was anxious. She wanted to know what's happening between Sharon and Chris. Now that he knows about the other son whom Sharon is hiding.

"Where is daddy?" April asked her bringing out of her thoughts.

"He went to meet someone" she replied while resuming to pack her back.

"When will be back?" She asked sipping the Orange juice she found in the fridge.

"I have no idea, April" she said digging heavily.

"Why are you packing? Are we going back?" April asked with a frown fetched on her face.

Lily thought for a second before answering, if both Chris and Lily have to be in newyork by tomorrow morning it was obvious that April was coming with them.

"Yes. Daddy has some important work to do tomorrow" she said wondering how would April recieve the news. The little nugget was looking forward to make most of the trip.

"But... he... promised.." April mumbled. Her eyes already started to tear up.

"April...."Lily said droping the shirt she was folding. "We will come back" she tried to soothe her but April was already running to her room.

Lily followed her into the living room where April curled herself into a ball and was murmuring how no one loves her and all. Lily sighed but couldn't say anything, she just sat rubbed her hand on April's back.

Chris saw Sharon biting her fingers.

"What happened?" He asked but Sharon ignored him.

"Is everything alright?" He asked again.

"Hmm... Chase is hurt." She said her voice low.

"What?! What happened? " he asked and Sharon looked at him for long time before answering "He scraped his knee."

"Does that happen a lot?" He asked.

"Chase.... can be difficult if he wants to, he is a very active and naughty kid. These kind of things happen a lot. I'm glad nothing major happened."

Chris just smiled but didn't say anything, he was grateful she was willing to talk about him.

"What happened that day when we met? You were searching for Chase." He asked.

"He was being stubborn.... and wanted to play with Bash... I asked him to wait till I come home but he had to have his own way." She said sighing.

Chris was sure he heard something on the lines of Stubborn as his father. He just smiled.

"So.. what do you do?" He asked.

"I have a small gift shop in the town, famous for hand made stuff." She said. It's like the wall between them is slightly cracking up after the talk aboutt Caleb.

"Does April still runaway from shower ?" Sharon asked with a far look on her face.

"She doesn't like the shampoo but she loves water." He said.

"Remember how she used to cry when ever I used to wash her hair. I had to be very careful." She said turning to face Chris and she realised what has she been mumbling.

"Ye-" he started but Sharon cut him off "Forget it."

"What are you going to tell April?" Sharon asked again after a few silent seconds.

"I don't know" he said calmly.

"Stop. I have to get down here." She said.

Chris looked around. And found a cozy store. "Thankyou" she said removing her belt.

"I will bring April around seven. My flight is at eight. I will be back day after tomorrow morning." He said.

Sharon nodded her head before getting down.

Chase was seriously typing something on what looked like a phone while Mira was showing something to a customer.

Mira looked at Sharon and smiled before turning her attention to the customer.

Sharon placed her bag behind her counter and made her way towards her son. It was clear that he have been crying. There were dried stains in years on his face. She examined his knee before slouching in front of him.

Chase was startled but his face lit up when he saw it was his mother. "Mommy" he said jumping into Sharon's arms throwing the phone on the couch.

Sharon hugged him but made sure not to touch his knee. She helped Chase sit back on the couch as she removed the bandaid she brought and was was cleaning his knee with antiseptic again.

"Mommy it hurts" he said catching Sharon's wrists.

"It's okay baby... mommy will kiss the pain away." She said with a small smile. When she finished applying bandaid she asked him " Now tell me what happened?"

"I was being a good boy mommy" he said trying to act to innocent.

"Hmm hmmm " Sharon giggled.

"And suddenly I fell and Mommy it hurts." He said.

Sharon scooped him in his arms and hugged him " It's okay baby... it's okay."

"Uff. .. it had been very difficult to calm him down." Mira said.

"Thankyou so much " Sharon said grateful to having Mira.

"Where is my phone?" Mira asked Chase.

Chase nodded his head towards couch.

Mira took her phone as her phone started ringing, " Why is my Mom calling?" She wondered before answering the call "Hey Mom" she said while her mother spoke on the other side "What?" She shrieked. Sharon gave her a look, Chase still in her arms as he adjusted himself against her hip looked up surprised.

"I'll call you back" was all Mira said before frantically checking her phone.

"What happened? " Sharon asked.

"Chase wanted my phone and gave it to him so that he would stop crying. My phone was on lock also but somehow he opened it and forwarded a very personal message from Tony to my Mom." Stressing on the word personal.

Sharon laughed so loud that for a second it startled Chase. "Oo.. Chase.. what have you done?"

Chase didn't understand what was happening around but laughed with Sharon while Mira was playfully scowling at them.

Chris knew something was wrong the moment he entered.

"Beanie.. Lily" he called.

"In here." Lily said.

"What happened? " he asked when he saw April.

"I don't wanna talk with you Daddy" April said walking out of the room dramatically.

Chris raised an eyebrow at the dramatic exit his daughter made.

"She is angry that we are going back." Lily supplied.

"We both are and I will return back and April is staying here." He said.

"What do you mean she is staying here?" Lily asked.

"She is staying with Sharon." He said as he heard Lily take a sharp breath.

"You aren't serious, are you?" Lily asked with a scowl.

"Im" Chris said wondering where this conversation was going.

"You are going to leave your daughter with the woman she hates most" Lily asked as if he lost his mind.

"April doesn't hate Sharon" Chris said through his gritted teeth.

"Maybe now... but once she knows who Sharon is... She will."

"She won't " Chris said while he made his move to talk to his daughter.

"What if she takes your daughter also away from you?" Lily asked which make Chris stop in his tracks.

"If she wanted that I believe she would have done that four years back."

"If you are forgetting she was taking April away from you when the accident happened."

Chris cursed that night and Lily knew that it was a sour topic yet she dared to speak.

"I don't think so " he said his voice strong dominating which warned Lily that she should shut up.

April stood behind the wall listening to their conversation. 'April is staying here"

"With Sharon"

She didn't understand what they were talking. 'Why would Lily imply that she hates Sharon."

She doesn't hate the woman, infact she loves her. She loved the way Sharon smiles at her. She loved way she put her hand on her head. She loved the way she looked at her.

April rushed into her room when she saw her father coming towards her.

"Beanie" he called her trying to tug the covers of the bed under which she was hiding.

"You said we will have fun" She accused. "You said it's you and me"

"Beanie" he called again when he was sure he had her attention he started "I sorry. I know i promised but it's is a very important thing. You know how much I love you right?!" He hesitantly asked and sighed in relief when she nodded her head. " I promise I would come back by tomorrow night at any cost and we would have fun"

"So it's me and Lily again?" She asked with a huff.

Chris shook his head in no. "Lily is coming with me. You are gonna stay with Sharon."

"But Daddy I don't know her" she said though she liked the woman she is not going to stay with her.

"Beanie... remember I said that Sharon was once my friend?" He asked.

April merely nodded her head.

"She will take good care of you. And you can play with Chase also."

April looked like she was in deep thought.

"You will comeback tomorrow night?Promise?!"

"Pinky promise" he said showing her his little finger. April hooked it with her little finger.

"Then... I think its okay." She said.

Chris was relieved that he didnot have to worry about April because he was sure Sharon would take very good care of April.

Sharon took April from Chris arms to hers.

"Remember your promise daddy" she said for the nth time standing beside Sharon.

"I will." He said scooting down to her level. "Love you beanie."

"Love you Daddy" she said her eyes tearing up.

"No crying. Now go inside its quote cold out here." He told as April reluctantly left.

"Take care of her" he said turning to get In to his cab.

"Chris" Sharon called "This doesn't mean that anything between us would change. You aren't going to be part of my life."

Chris's eyes narrowed immediately " we will talk about it later. For now take care of our children" he said slipping into his cab.
