So that's her April, Sharon thought. She grew up to be so pretty. Her hair were exactly like Sharon's the dark blonde locks. She had all her father traits like his blue eyes, his pointed nose but her thin full lips. Sharon eyes welled up with tears. She couldn't look her in her eyes now. She was her culprit.

Chris saw April standing with some shells in her hand and a woman standing with her, where the hell was Lily?

He reached April and peeked a look at the woman standing in front of her, Sharon. She was wearing a two piece bikini under a beautiful knitted sarong,She looked amazing. She had a thin necklace around her neck and her hair was tied up in a messy bun. His eyes softened when he saw Sharon taking deep breath's and quickly wipe her tears.

"I'm sorry... I didnt know." Sharon mumbled.

"Sharon Wait.... " Chris called. But Sharon ran away not even spearing back a glance.

"Dad you know that woman?" April asked confused.

"And I would appreciate if she never knew I am her mother." Sharon's words rang in his head. He sighed heavily before answering.

"Yes, she was my very good friend."

Chris said still looking at the direction Sharon ran away.

"Then why did she go away?" She asked.

"She doesn't like me anymore, she isn't my friend anymore." He said with a small sad smile. He wanted so badly to tell April that is your mother about whom you keep asking.

"No one can not like you daddy" April said kissing his cheek.

Chris smiled at her innocence, if only she knew.

Lily was busy talking on her phone when she thought she saw someone like Sharon and she had to double check to make sure. It was indeed Sharon. Shit. Sharon was coming from the same direction where April was picking shells. Lily immediately ran towards April. Double Shit. Chris was there with April.

"Where have you been?" He asked as soon he caught sight of Lily.

"I was just a few feet away talking to Martha." Lily said in a low voice.

"Haven't we discussed this before?" Chris snapped rudely. He was not happy with Lily leaving April alone.

"I was just..." she started but shut her mouth when he glared at her.

"Daddy are they enough?" April asked showing the shells she had collected saving Lily's ass.

April was sharp...very sharp for a kid of her age, she knew Chris was pissed with Lily and she didn't want to be the reason why he is angry with her.

"Yes beanie they are enough." Chris said taking the shells from her hands and gave Lily a look.

Sharon felt empty. She was swimming aimlessly in the sea to hide her tears. She had this strong pull in heart in pain. Her baby grew so well. It just felt like yesterday when she took April in her hands for the very first time. Our little bundle of Joy Chris said. It felt like yesterday she started nursing April. Like yesterday when she started crawling.... when she first tried to call her mommy. Sharon knew going down the memory lane would do her no good. She would probably been more guilty and broken if that is even possible.

"I think you should get out of water now" Joe's sudden voice startled her.

"Maybe" she just shrugged and let Joe pull her along with him on the water. He handed her one dry towel and he dried his hair.

Sharon took the towel and wrapped around her. She looked around to see Chase and savvy completing their castle.

Joe pulled her down making her sit beside him. Sharon raised an eyebrow at him but didn't say anything.

"Want to talk about it?" He asked.

"About what?" She asked.

"About that man yesterday and now"

"Oh.... didn't Momo tell you" she snapped rather rudely.

Joe just smiled at her. Sharon felt bad he was a kind human he didn't deserve her snapping. She took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap."

"Its okay if you don't want to say. I can completely understand if it is something personal."

"Yes. It is personal but may be you can give me some advice and I telling you before do not Judge me. I had my reasons to do what I did."

Joe raised his hands in surrender.

"The man you saw yesterday" she said sighing "is my ex-husband." She completed and waited for his response.

"Okay" was only Joe's reaction.

Sharon expected more than that.

"Do you still....." he let the question hanging around.

"What...... love?!" She asked laughing humorlessly.

"I used too... but he did something and I left with Chase still in my belly and...." Joe noticed she took sharp intake of breath " I left my 2 year old daughter with him"

Joe's eyes widened in surprise. Sharon's love for children was so much... I mean she is a maternal by every instinct and he couldnt believe she could do something like that.

"He must have done something awful." Joseph said.

"He did" Sharon replied.

"Is he a good father?" He asked. He saw a faint smile on her face.

"He is. Infact my daughter just told me he is the best."

"You talked to her?" He asked and saw Sharon nod.

"I didn't she was my April until Chris came. She grew up so well... so pretty." She said her eyes started welling with tears.

She can't cry. She had to be strong. Joe snaked his arms around her shoulder and squeezed a little.

"Its okay to miss your daughter Sharon. Think positively see May be God wanted you to see her all grown up than not at all seeing her."

"May be" she said when She heard Savvy shouting 'Chase Chase No.' As Joe said... yes Sharon's maternal instinct is high. She turned so fast to see what's happening. Chase was running towards her. She shrugged Joe's hand and immediately stood up.

"Yes... Chase.... what happened? " she asked worried.

"Mommy Mommy I completed" Chase said jumping around.

Sharon chuckled taking him into her arms "Really? Can I see it?" She asked.

Chase vigorously nodded his head. "Joe come" he said when Joe was standing there smiling.

"I'm just behind you" he said but he didn't move from his spot.

"I'm sorry. I tried to stop him" savvy said.

"Why?" Joe asked surprised.

"I.. I thought You and Sharon are finally having a moment" she said a bit embarrassed.

"No.. we were talking about..." he hesitated.

"Her ex? Who is staying in the house straight opposite to Momo's." She guessed.

Joe nodded. "I think she still loves him... when i asked her if she still loved him she said she used to but I don't know I'm not sure if that's true. They have so much history together. "

"You are unnecessarily getting paranoid she hates him"

"I'm not getting paranoid. I just want Sharon happy. She deserves to be happy, To be loved." He said bitting his lip because of the L-word slip.

"Haha I do knew you loved her" savvy said.

"Shut up.. I will kill you if you would tell anyother soul." He said playfully trying to strangle her.

"Savvy... Joe... come here"Momo called.

"Oh my god it is so pretty Chase." Sharon said admiring the sand castle her son build. Chase was standing proudly in front of the castle while Sharon clicked some pictures.

"I'm so proud of you honey" she said kissing him on his forehead.

"It looks okay" Momo said, Sharon she knew she was just teasing Chase.

Chase scowled at the old woman but didn't say anything. He was happy his mom loved it.

He was too tired from the work.

"Wow Chase that is so nice" Joseph said. Chase liked that Joseph was there to see his masterpiece.

"Okay guys... you help Momo while I take these to our car"Sharon said picking up the basket and umbrella while Chase took his truck in his hand.

Chase and Sharon started going towards the car. Chase was happily skipping his steps.

"Mommy" he called her suddenly.

"Yes baby. What is it?" She asked.

"I saw a girl yesterday." He said.

Sharon face morphed a frown immediately.

"What girl honey?" She asked.

"They came into the house opposite to us" he said.

Sharon heart slipped into her stomach.

"And...?" She asked wanting to know

Where Chase was going with this.

"Can I play with her sometime?" He asked hopefully.

"No" she snapped immediately.

Chase was startled with sudden rise in his mother's voice.

"But why ?" he asked.

"I said no means No chase" she said bending down to his level and continued " When mommy says something please try to listen Chase"

Chase frowned but nodded his head, he didnt want his mom to talk about yesterday.

"Good" she said kissing him on his head.

Sharon had the keys of the car. So, she loaded the trunk and was waiting for the others to get there while Chase was sitting in the driver's seat and pretending to drive.

She spotted Chris, April and Lily walking in her direction and immediately turned towards the other side.

She didn't want to see that idiotic ex husband of hers and that shameless ex best friend.

"Sharon."Lily called.

Sharon took a deep breath before gracefully turned to face that bitch.

"How have you been?" She asked sweetly.

Sharon wanted to vomit seeing that.

"I have been very Happy. Thanks to you" she replied, her voice itself indicating how annoyed she was.

"Oh... and have you met this is April." She introduced pulling April towards her.

That Bitch. Sharon thought, she internally was still battling a turmoil of emotions but masked her emotions well.

"Hello" April greeted.

Before Sharon could react.. Chase jumped onto Sharon's back from the window of the car.

Sharon was startled and lost her balance but Chris who was just behind April and Lily came in time and wrapped an arm around her for support. Chase who was pretty scared kept his eyes closed. Sharon jerked his hands away from her and Chase.

She scooped him back and asked, "Baby are you okay?"

Chase opened his eyes and nodded his head. Sharon sighed and hugged him close as he hid his head in the crook of her neck. 'What am going to do with you' she mumbled for a second forgetting she was not alone with her son.

Chris could see it in her eyes the love she had for that kid. She loved April the same then how could she have gained the courage to leave her behind.

"Is he your son?" Lily asked aptly.

"Yes" Sharon said sharply. Before Lily could ask something else Momo, savvy and Joe came.

"What do we have here? Our new neighbours" Momo said.

"Welcome to Princeton" She said in a over cheery voice.

"Thankyou." Chris replied.

Sharon's eyes drifted back to April where she was looking right at her.

Sharon tried to give her a small smile.

"Where are you guys from?" Momo asked trying to hit a conversation while Sharon said " I think we should go."

"Newyork." Lily answered.

Momo hummed in response.

Sharon was in a hurry, she wanted to get away from them as fast as she could but Momo was making it impossible what was she thinking. Did she forget who the hell he was?

"I think you should come to our house for dinner tomorrow as a welcome party." Momo invited.

"Momo?" Sharon and Savvy exclaimed at same time.

"We don't want to impose" Chris said.

"Oh... nothing like that. Please come." Momo insisted. What the hell was she planning.?

"Okay then" Chris reluctantly agreed.

What the hell? She thought for the nth time.
