《Timeless Love》Chapter 52

Keyona POV
"Hey Daunte." I said in just a whisper. It fell silence for awhile, very awkward. I wanted to hang up for a second but I knew I couldnt. We needed to talk and I was a nervous wreck.
"Did I wake you?" I asked quietly. "No of course not!" He answer right away, not giving me a second to think otherwise. I heard him shuffling, probably sitting up straight from somewhere.
"How are you?" I asked and he coughed before he answered, "Im okay, missing you." He sighed, which made me sigh as well, "I miss you too, but we need to talk." I told him and he sighed, "I know."
It was silence for awhile. It was weird being on the phone with him right now, especially with it being silent. Because we were always talking and laughing when we talked late night. "Are you to tired to meet up with me?" I asked.
"No its not, ill come pick you up. Are you home?" He asked and I nodded, forgetting he couldnt see me. "Yeah." I heard some more shuffling, "Ill be there in twenty minute."
When the phone disconnected, I felt my heart pound hard against my chest. I was so nervous to see him after so long. I called him to meet and I don't even know what I'm going to say. I know what I want, but I don't know if it's too late. Even though he said he will wait, I don't know what he did while 'waiting'. I wanted to know what happened with him and Briana. If he is still around to care for that baby.
I looked at my phone and realized that ten minutes have passed since he hung up with me. I quickly went into my closet and took off my pajamas and threw on some ankle high black jeggings and a navy blue t-shirt. I grabbed my black Nikes, putting them on and lacing them up. I went to the other side of my closet and grabbed a black and white Nike sweater.
While I put it on, I heard my phone beep, notifying me that I got a text. I picked it up from off my vanity dresser and unlocked it.
'I'm Here.' Was all it said with Dauntes name right on top of it. That little text made my heart beat faster. I sighed and texted him back, 'I'm Coming.' I grabbed my purse and went towards my door. I turned off the lights and walked quietly down the hall and down the stairs. I knew I needed to be quiet because I knew people were probably sleeping or doing the nasty.
I left out the front door, making sure I locked it before I turned around and seen him. He was standing there in dark denim jeans, black t-shirt, leather jacket and timberlands. His hair was wavy and his blue eyes shined in the nightlight. He looked so sexy just standing there with his arms crossed over his chest, muscles flexing and leaving against the passenger car door.

I sighed before I took a step towards him which made him stand straight. His eyes trained on me and not leaving my face once. With each step, I felt like I was going to shit myself. I'm not kidding, I was so nervous and scared. Nervous about what was going to happened and scared that it won't go as I hoped. I stopped about a foot away from him and stood there quietly for a few minutes.
He coughed at the awkward silence and reached sideways and opened the car door to the black Mercedes. I smiled at him and got in the car. He closed it behind me stood there for a second before running his hand over his face and walking towards the driver side. He got in and closed the door. "Any place you want to go to talk?" He asked. I thought for a second, it's probably around midnight. So I know some cafes will be opened. "Can we go for some coffee and y'all there?" I asked and he nodded, "Of course." We put our seatbelts on and he started the car and drove out the driveway.
The car ride itself was nerve recking. I was great full that he took us to one that was only a few minutes away because if I stayed in that car one more minute with awkward silence, I would of actually shitted myself.
We arrived and parked in the small parking lot. I was surprised that there was probably only 2 other cars there. He got out and walk towards my door and opened it, helping me out the car.
We arrived in the cafe and when I looked around, it was nice and cozy. It had tables with black chairs in the middle of the cafe. On the right side there were a lot of booths. As I looked on the left side, there was a bookshelf with at least a hundred books maybe even more. Some hard and some soft copy's. There was a brown rug that had white stars on it and a bunch of bean bags, in a lot of different sizes and colors.
We decided to sit in one of the booths, facing each other. The waiter started to come over and I knew I wasn't going to like what was going to happen. On cue, the girl looked directly to Daunte. Her cleavage on display and blond hair in curls. She didn't even glance at me once.
"Hello and welcome, what can I get for you?" She said trying to sound seductively and I wanted to laugh because she sounded like a desperate drunk bitch. Daunte looked up at her before looking at me, "Are you hungry?" I shook my head and he nodded before looking at the girl, she rolled her eyes at me before staring back at Daunte. "Well my wife and I", my eyes went wide when I heard him call me his wife, "will like two coffees, one with three creamers and two sugars, other black." He continued and the girl turned and flared at me before looking back at Daunte and smiling, "Of course, anything else?" She asked and he shook his head before looking back towards me.

I wanted to ask him why he called me his wife but I already figured that it was to make that girl back up off him. Will it be weird if I say that I liked it when he called me his wife? I shook my head and looked down at my lap, feeling his eyes on me and my face heating up. We sat quietly for a few minutes before the girl came back and placed Dauntes coffee in front of him and slammed mines a little harder in front of me. I looked up at her and she was glaring again. I just rolled my eyes at her and looked back to Daunte who was glaring at her. When she seen that, she scurried off quickly.
I lifted up my coffee and examined it, just to make sure that bitch didn't try and poison me. I took a sip and relaxed when the hot coffee fell down my throat and warmed my body up.
I looked up and seen Daunte smiling at me. "What?" I asked, with a raised eyebrow and he shook his head, "Your just so beautiful." He said quietly but I heard him. My face heated up and I smiled at him, "Thanks." I cleared my throat before I sat my coffee down, "Shall we talk?" I asked and he nodded.
"Okay, well before we start, how are you?" I asked and he nodded, "Good." He said and I looked at him, he looked exhausted and wore out. "Daunte..." I paused, "How are you really?" I asked, with a little more emotion in my voice. He smiled lightly before nodding, "I'm good, I'm still taking everything in." He said and I nodded, "How's your dad?" He smiled before shaking his head, "He's good and alive. Still trying to get use to it." He answered honestly and I nodded, "I'm happy for you."
I started to frown a little because I needed to ask him something that I don't think I'm not ready to hear but needed to know before I gave him my final answer, "How is... Briana and the baby?" I asked and his face turned angry, "That bitch is not even in this country anymore! When I found out the truth, I kicked her to the curb. I wanted to beat the hell out of her, but she was pregnant and I would never harm a pregnant lady. But I made sure she would never stop foot in this country every again." He said and I signed. It was silent for a few minutes, with us just looking at each other.
He sighed, "How are you?" I smiled up at him, "I'm good, my parents are here visiting." His face fell in a frown, "That's good." He squeaked before looking at me, "Do they know about.." he trailed off before pointing at my stomach. I smiled sadly before looking back up at him, "Yeah, my mother, she is probably telling my father right now. I kind of needed someone to talk to, other than Nova and my brothers, so she flew down and I told her about..." I trailed off and he raised an eyebrow at me, "I told her about everything." I said and his eyes went wide, "Everything?!" He questioned and I nodded, "Yup, everything."
I seen him tense up and he coughed, "How did that go?" He stuttered our and I smiled at him, "It actually went really good. She is the main reason why I'm here, kinda. Well technically it was my choice but I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing." He sighed before looking at me, "The right thing?" I nodded, "If it's the right thing of giving you another chance." I said quietly and he quickly sat up, "What?" He gasped and I smiled at him.
"I decided that I wanted to give you another chance, but..." I trailed off and looked at him seriously. "But?" He sighed, "But it won't be rainbows and glitter." I told him and he chuckled, "Rainbows and glitter?" I rolled my eyes, "Yes!" He laughed. "Okay it won't be rainbows and glitter yet." He said mocking me and I glared at him, "Sorry."
"Look.." I said seriously, "I don't forgive you completely because of what you did and said, really hurt me Daunte. It broke my heart and tore me up on the inside. It's not something I can get over easily, you will have to do a lot of making up to me, for me to forgive you completely. Also... you have to meet my parents." I said the last part quietly.
He tensed up and I seen this worry look in his eyes and it made me smile a little inside. He looked so nervous, "Your parents?" He stuttered and I awed at him before he was this big tough mafia leader and the mentioned of meeting my parents made him look like a little scared puppy and it was just the cutest.
"Yes, my parents. My mother is the sweetest person ever and is actually really excited to meet you. But my father on the other hand, might be a little tougher. He might want to attack you and threaten you a little but I'm sure things will be alright. Y'all have a lot in common, actually. He use to be a gang leader also. He is really protective of my mother like you are with me. You two are more alike then you think." I smiled at him.
"Yeah, well that's what I'm afraid of." He whispered.
