She hurt herself and didnt want my help. She didnt want me to touch her. When she was done, She looked at me once last time before she lefted me standing alone.

I took a few deep breaths and was about to walk out and follow her until my phone ranged, I picked it up and answer it.

"Hello!"

"Is this a bad time, boss?" Oliver says.

"Nah, what's up?"

"So I found the guys family but having a hard time finding him. We have his wife and daughter. We been torturing the Mrs, but she a loyal one. She ain't saying nothing." He said.

"What about the daughter?"

"She only 9, boss." He signs.

"Alright, well keep torturing the wife, she will crack sooner or later. Make sure the daughter is safe and take her to a relatives or something. She ain't seen nothing, right?" I don't believe letting a child see their parents bring hurt or tortured. It can really tuck up their mindset. Trust, I know.

"No, boss. One of the guys took her to get some pizza and they been watching Disney movies at her house with a few guards. I'm going to go and talk to her and see if she knows if her dad has ever took her somewhere that nobody knows about."

"Alright, let me know when it happens." I told him.

"Will do boss. But I have a question?"

"How is my sister and brothers?" He said in a worried tone.

After a few seconds of silence. "They are fine. They went to the club last night."

"Good. How is my sister? Was any guys in the gang tried messing with her?" He asked quickly.

I knew he didn't want anybody to mess with her, because she could be put in danger. Our rivals always try and go after our woman because they become our weakness. I can't let him know that I slept with her. I can't let him know how she makes me feel, because I don't even know the answer myself.

"Boss? You there?"

I cough "My bad, bad services in the room I'm at. But no, nobody messes with her. She went home with her girl cousin."

"Alright, thanks again, for keeping an eye on them for me. I appreciate it. They mean the world to me." He says, sincerely.

"No problem. Finish that up, find that Cagna and kill him." I said before I hung up.

I took a minute to myself before I walked down the stairs towards the kitchen.

"Where have you been?" Sofia questioned.

"I got a call." I said before I looked around the table and seen a seat right next to Keyona. I knew she didn't want me next to her, but I couldn't help it.

I walked over and pulled the chair out. I sat next to her and felt her eyes glare at me. I faced her and smirked. Yeah, dinner is about to be fun.

She sat there with LaMina in her lap.

"So how are you liking Sicily so far Keyona?" Matteo asked.

"I love it. My brothers an I are here visiting. My brothers leaving in a couple weeks but Nova, my twin brother Kevion and I, are moving here." She said while she side glanced me real quick.

"No sisters?" Maria asked.

Keyona laughed. "Nope, four brothers, only girl."

"Wow, are they all older?!" My aunt asked. She always wanted a big family but end up getting in an accident when she was pregnant with LaMina. She went into early labor and end up not able to have anymore kids.

"Nope, two older and two younger. Even though my little brother are extremely prtective, they act like older. Oliver is the oldest but he is only a little over a year older than me and my twin."

"Wow, your parents were busy." My aunt smiled.

"No, when me and my brother were about 5, something happened to Oliver and my parents end up adopting him."

"So Oliver isnt your real brother." Matteo asked.

"Yeah, he is my real brother. Blood doesnt matter. He is my real brother no matter what." Keyona said it proudly. You can hear it in her tone that she was proud of oliver being her brother.

"You must be close." My uncle asked her.

She smiled. "Yes, we are really close. Im closer to Oliver than I am with my twin brother. We went through alot together when we were little. He protected me from danger and pain. He was and still am my hero."

"What do you mean danger and pain?" I asked her. She looked at me quickly and her eyes were wide.

"Its nothing." She said in a whisper.

I knew it wasnt nothing. I can see the pain in her eyes when she said he protected her from danger. I can see it in her eyes that something bad happened to her. Something dangerous and painful that she relives over and over again. It also made me want to find out what happened, but I knew I couldnt. I didnt want to bring the pain back, so I let it go.

I just nodded my head. She looked away and kept rubbing LaMinas back. I looked down and seen LaMina had falen asleep in her arms. I smile at her and get up. Everyone looks at me but I ignore them and reach for LaMina.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

I pointed at LaMina, "She is sleep. Im going to go lay her down." She looked down at Mina and smiled. I pick her up and laid her head on my shoulder.

"Ill come with." Leo says, following me out the kitchen, up to Minas room. He opened thw door and walked to her bed. He pulled the blankets back and I lightly lay her down. I start to cover her up until I hear Leo say,

"When?"

I stop mid way and look at him. "When what?"

He shook his head. "When did you sleep with her?" I faced him and took a deep breath.

"I dont know what your talking about." I told him, even though I know exactly what he was saying.

"Dont act stupid as fuck. I know you Daunte. The way you kept looking at her down there. What the fuck was that?!" He says, yelling at me.

"Dont fucking raise your voice at me. What I do or who I do is none of your fucking business." I yelled.

"What about Oliver? You know how he doesnt want her involved with any of us. Why would you sleep with her, Daunte?!" He whispered yelled. Knowing we were still in Mina room.

"It dont matter who I fuck. Besides it didnt mean shit anyways." I told him before I walked out. I stopped in my tracks when I seen someone leaning against the door. With eyes clouded with water, not letting them fall. I looked in those eyes,

'Keyona.'

I tried to reach for her but she took a step back.

"Keyon-" I started to say until she raised her hand up to stop me.

"Dont." She took a deep breath and gave me a sad smile. "I was just coming to grab my phone from the bathroom cause I left it. I wanted to check on Mina one last time also."

"Keyona, What did you hear?" I tried to reach for her again but she stopped me.

"I heard enough." She wiped her eyes and walked away.

I stood there for a while, knowing I fucked up. I wanted to chase after her but I didnt because I dont chase females, no matter who they are.But for some reason I started thinking I needed to chase her. After a few more seconds, I noticed my feet moving down the stairs.

I walked in the kitchen and seen she wasnt in her seat anymore, but she was sitting in the empty seat between Maria and Sofia. I wanted to snatch her up and move her in the seat next to me.

"Is Mina still sleep?" Matteo asked me.

"Yeah."

"Well the food was brung out when yall was upstairs, lets eat." Maria clapped.

I sat there waiting for everyone to get their food. Not being I cared about who ate first, but because I couldnt keep my eyes off of her. It hurt that the longer I stared, the longer she wouldnt even look at me. I couldnt belive I made her cry. She probably didnt let her tears fall but they welled because of me. I usually dont care about who I hurt but for some reason I couldnt believe that I hurt her. I didnt mean it, because she was the best I have ever had. The big mafia leader worried that he hurt a girl feeling. Hurt her feelings.

"So are you staying where you are once your brothers leave?" Maria asked. Cutting me out my thoughts.

"Um, no, we are actually going to be moving in with a friend." Keyona said.

"What friend?" I quickly asked.

She looked a me with disgusted. "Like I said, a friend."

"Is this person a friend to you as well, Nova?" I asked but with my eyes still on Keyona.

"Yeah, just a friend." She said and I seen Keyona smirk.

"You barely know me so why do you care? Its not like anything matters, right?"

With my jaw clenched, eyes narrowed, I stared at her. She really want to pull this bullshit. Doesn't she know understand who I am. I can't be with a girl like her. She is too innocent and would be ruined if she came into my world.

"Have y'all met before?" Sofia asked. Pointing at me and Keyona.

"Actually we d- "

"No." She said quickly, cutting me off. I just stared at her. So now she wants to act like we never met.

"What about last night?" I asked.

"What do you mean, Daunte?" Sofia said, looking at me.

"Nothing. It doesn't matter. We just met at his club last night." She spat disgustedly.

"Which club?" Sofia asked.

"My family and I went to Black Clover and partied last night. My brothers wanted to go out so we went there, It's a nice club." She said. I just kept staring at her.

"Yeah, Daunte has good tastes when it comes to clubs and other things. His club is the number one spot in Sicily to party at." Sofia said.

"Yeah, well It must be. It seems like people can go get drunk, have fun. Even have one night stand that doesn't matter." She worshippers the last part. I don't think anyone heard but I did. I knew she was talking about what I said.

"But um, dinner was good and it's getting really late. Nova, are you ready to go?" She looked at Nova.

"I was actually going to take her somewhere. I hope you don't mind. I'll make sure she gets home safe." Leo said quickly.

"That's fine. I'm going to call a cab and head home." She said, getting up and giving Maria a hug.

"Oh no, I'm sure Daunte or Santi can take you home." Matteo said.

"No, it's okay. I don't mind taking a cab."

"Daunte will have to take her. I got a meeting with someone in 30 minutes." Santi said.

"Oh no, it's really fine. I'm going to go straight home anyways." She said. I knew she just didn't want to be in the same car with me.

"No, Daunte will take you home. It's late for you to be in a cab alone." My uncle said. I just nodded.

"Yes. Also we need to plan a girls day. You, Nova and Me." Maria said.

She just smiled and nodded. "I would love that. Tell Mina I'll see her soon." Keyona said.

"I will." My Aunt Hughes her again. Before letting go and faces me. "Make sure she gets home safe."

I smile "No problem. Let's go." She just looks at me and rolls her eyes.

"Oh and Matteo, I emailed you a deal with a client, take a look at it for me." I told him and he nodded his head.

I was about to walk out until I felt someone grab my arm. I turn around and see it's Nova, "Be careful with her."

I nod my head and walk out to Keyona. This is going to be an awkward car ride.
