It is a warm and beautiful day today. The wind blows through my hair while I jump out of the car, excited for today. I walk to the trunk, open it and grab my things. I start to walk towards the beach before someone grabbed my arm. I turn around and see Oliver.

"Slow down, let's wait for the others." He says.

"But I don't want to," I whine. "Everyone is taking forever." I cross my arms over my chest and pout my bottom lip out. Oliver stares at me and shakes his head.

He rolls his eyes. "Fine, how about you go find us a place to sit. But make sure you stay close so I can see you." I nod my head and walk off towards the beach.

Taking off my sandals and hold them in my hands. I took a step and felt the warm sand between my toes. I close my eyes, take a deep breath smelling the salty fresh water and the sun's warmness on my face. I open my eyes and walk towards the ocean. I look around and find a spot about 20 feet away from the shoreline. I head over there and take my beach towel out of my bag and lay it down. I take off my top cover revealing my white bathing suit.

I turn around to see if I can spot Oliver and the others and I do. They stand there with everything in their hands searching for me. I start to jump and wave my arms. Nova sees me and points my way, making everyone look over my way. They start to walk towards me. Leo and Kevion carrying a white and blue cooler. I see Nova running towards me and jumping in my arms when she reaches me, making us both fall on the sand.

"Get off fat ass!" I yell. She looks at me and gasps. She gets up and stares at me, hand on her chest, and gasp.

"I am not fat." She smacks her lip and I roll my eyes at her. It was true she wasn't fat. She weight about 120

pounds and had curves. While I weighed a good 145 pounds but all in the right places.

"Well, I felt you squishing me so your fat," I said with a smirk on my face. She put her arms across her chest and stomped her foot like a child "You're a meanie Keyona!" I just shake my head and laughed at her. They guys finally reach us.

"You found a good spot, sis," Aydin said. "I know, I'm the best." They all just laughed.

They put the cooler down by me. They all then started to pull their towel out of their bags to lay them down beside mine. We all then started to put sunscreen on. It was hot out so I wanted to go to the water.

"Nova, let's go in the water!" I look at her with a smile. She hops up quickly and then smirks at me, "Race you!" She yells and took off in a sprint into the water. I look over at the boys "y'all coming?" They just shook their head. I shrugged and ran after Nova.

I finally reach her and she just stands there. "What's wrong Nova?" I asked and she just said "It's cold as fuck! I'm not getting in!" I start laughing. "You are so dramatic, come on. It will get warm after a few seconds!" She just shakes her head and starts to walk off.

She was really about to leave me here by myself because she said it was cold. Oh nope, not happening! I hurry and think of something before she can leave.

I noticed my hair is still down. Nova is that girl that always has extra hair ties on her wrists because she has thick long hair and always needs about 10 to keep her hair in a perfect bun. I look at her wrist and see she has a few on them.

"WAIT NOVA!" I yell. She looks back at me with a raised eyebrow. "I need one of your hair ties, please. I forgot mine in my purse."

She looks at me for a second and starts to walk towards me. I smile at her and she holds her wrist out to me so I can take one-off. I am standing in the shallow part of the ocean. Waves hitting against my **calves. I reach out to her and start to take one off but when I saw she wasn't paying attention, I quickly grabbed her wrist. She quickly stares at me and her eyes go wide.

"Don't you fucking dare, Keyona!" She yells and try's to yank her arm away. I smirk at her evilly and fall back towards the water, pulling her with me.

We land with a splash. "NOOOOO!" She yells and quickly jumps off me. She tries to run until she turns around and sees all the boys standing there laughing.

"THAT'S NOT FUNNY! She literally pulled me into that freezing fucking water!" She yelled. Folding her arms around herself and ran her fingers on her arms, signaling that she was cold. I started to laugh so hard while I'm still sitting in the water! I start to swim farther into the water.

"Don't go out too far!" I hear Kevion yell. I turn around and roll my eyes.

"Aren't y'all coming in?" They all looked at me and shrugged at each other. They stare at Nova with a smirk on their faces and she stands there frozen.

"Oh no, you don't! No! No! No!" She starts to walk backward and she sees Leo walking towards her.

"Come on babe. It's not that cold." He looks at her and walks closer. He starts to walk fast and she runs the other way! Running through the shoreline and running away. Leo and Quinton start chasing her while everyone laughs at her running! Quinton cuts her off and she tries to run the other way until she runs into Leo. She tried to turn around and run again but he wraps his arms around her waist from behind and picks her up!

"DON'T PLEASE DON'T! IT'S TOO COLD! LEOOOO-" She doesn't finish because the next thing you know, she and Leo go under the water. When they finally surface, Nova has her eyebrows narrow, her lips pressed together tightly, and a very angry look on her face.

"I FUCKING HATE YALL!" She yells. While she was getting chased by them, everyone else joined the water with me. We all start laughing at her.

"Awe babe. I'm sorry." Leo says, trying to comfort her and she just splashes him. "Leave me alone." But of course, he doesn't. He goes to her and starts to whisper something in her ear, and her face slowly goes from being angry to a dark pink blush onto her cheeks.

We just laugh at her again. We finish enjoying the beach and having a relaxing time. Drinking, playing truth or dare, talking about old memories, and Leo telling stories about him and Oliver's adventures.

He told us about one time when they all got drunk and they went to see Batman vs Superman and after the movie, Oliver was drunk that he thought he was Superman and jumps off his seat and fell face-first over the next seats down. We were all laughing at him.

"Yeah, Oliver can never handle his liquor," I said laughing at him, which made us tell more stories about the crazy things he did when he was drunk.

"That's why I don't drink that much anymore!" He said, rolling his eyes at us.

It was now around 9:30 pm and it was getting dark but we were all having a good time.

I was laying on my towel, looking at the sky. The sky was dark blue and full of bright stars that you can see in the ocean. They were shining so bright. I must have been in my thoughts because I didn't hear Leo sit next to me and start talking to me.

"It's beautiful, isn't it." I sit up and smile at him. "Yes, it is. I love the sky at night. It feels like the stars and I are connected. Me just staring at it calms down my thoughts and makes me forget my nightmares and fears." He stares at me for a second, "what do you mean nightmares and fears, Keyona?" He asks me and I just look at him for a second. I didn't realize what I said and I just smile at him, "Nothing, don't worry about it." He looks at me questioningly and just nods his head.

"Well if this is exciting to you, then in about 30 minutes, there is suppose to be a meteor shower. It only happens once every 30 years and it's suppose to be the night that everyone gets to make a wish. It says that if you are truly pure and righteous that your wish that you wish under the shooting stars, will come true. Maybe when you wish for something that you really want, and it might actually come true while you are in Italy." I look at him and smile, "Do you believe in it?" He gets up and looks at me "I believe people always get what they wish for when they least expect it. No matter how pure or not you are. You just have to believe in your heart that you deserve whatever you wish on." He says and then walks off.

I turn back to the sky and take a deep breath. Until I feel someone sit next to me and lay their head on my shoulders. I look and see it's Nova.

"You okay babe? You been quiet for the last hour." I turn to her and smile. "I'm fine. You know how I get when it's nighttime and the stars are out." I say. She just nods. "Leo said there's supposed to be a meteor shower tonight. I'm excited to see it." Her eyes get wide, "REALLY! I've never seen anything like that before! Of course, once in a blue moon, there is always one here and there. But never a shower of them!" I nod my head. "Yeah, he says it happens every 30 years. Also if you make a wish while you are under it, your wish can come true." She claps her hands and smiles at me.

We sit there staring at the ocean in silence, waiting for the shower to happen. When I finally look back up at the sky I see a shooting star. I jump up quickly.

"You okay Princess?" I hear Oliver ask and I look back at him, "I just seen a shooting star!" He smiles at me and was about to say something when I start seeing everyone around us standing up and staring into the sky. I start seeing bright lights and quickly look up and see it happening. The stars are fast. I pull out my phone and record it for a few seconds. I have to send this to my mom.

I look at it again. My eyes were glued to the sky.

"Hurry, make a wish Key!" Nova yells at me. I stop and I think to myself, what do I want? No, what do I need? What do I think I deserve?.

I figured out that I didn't want anything, but that I needed the one thing to help me. One thing to get rid of these nightmares. One thing that I deserve.

I close my eyes tightly. I make my wish over and over again. Once I felt like it was heard by the stars, I open them to finish watching the stars. The shower lasts about 3 minutes but it felt like forever.

Once it ended I look at Nova and smiled.

"So what you wish for?" She quickly asks me. I laugh,

"I can't tell you or it might not come true." I wink at her and laid back down on my towel. I closed my eyes thinking about my wish. I say it in my head a few more times.
