Video of Walking on the Ceiling

Sticky, sweaty bodies were pasted together, as the young adults grinded harshly on one another. Music echoed through the walls, sounding like screams for help, as Landon and Kai messed around with their DJ software. Alcohol was, for the night, the adolescents' lifeline, filling themselves up and emptying one container at a time.

The space had been contaminated by the usual party favors; weed, alcohol, and perspiration, with a hint of perfume and cologne, of course.

Jake was about halfway into the cup of beer he'd been drinking, trying to separate himself from the crowd before him. He was never one against partying, but didn't quite enjoy them, either.

His main reasoning for disliking the environment was the amount of unaware people surrounding his vicinity, who, when sober, didn't comprehend the concept of personal space, let alone when they were under any type of influence.

Taking a deep breath, Jake found his way to the kitchen, looking for something other than chips to fill his empty stomach. His eyes scanned the freezer, finding some frozen mini pizzas, and without a second thought, opened the box to place them in the oven.

"Didn't take you for someone who drinks," Jake heard a familiar voice speak, his eyes fixated on the oven temperature.

"I didn't think you'd still be sober," Jake turned around, taking a seat on the counter. Caiden was by the island, filling his cup, before walking to sit beside the curly haired boy.

"What makes you think I drink?" Caiden raised a brow.

"I don't know, don't you sleep with someone and avoid them?" Titling his head to the side, Jake questioned, still bothered by that.

"You're cute when you're jealous, Jake," was all he said before hopping off the counter, and out of the kitchen.

With a roll of his eyes, Jake checked on the pizzas, taking them out when they were ready. He packed them in a small container, wanting to make his way up the stairs and to his room, but before even taking the first step, a hand pulled him.

"You're playing!" some guy grinned, sitting him on the floor next to Mike.

"What are we doing?" Jake asked, exasperated with everyone around him.

"We're playing some drinking game, babe," some girl replied for the dude, making Jake gag just hearing the pet name.

"I don't play drinking games, Mike, you know that," Jake shook his head, eyes searching throughout the house for Taylor or Landon, or anyone to save him.

Anxiety.

Stolen memories.

His mind was speeding, once more, and he could feel the burial happening as he took the last gulp of beer.

"Hey Jake, I need your help a sec," Jake's eyes found the voice, but the vision became blurry.

It took several tries of the breathing exercises for him to completely revert to himself. He took the time to play with his fingers while breathing, as to make sure no one around him got worried.

"Hey, come out back. I need your help," Jake heard the voice, once more.

Caiden didn't wait for him to get up, noticing something was wrong almost immediately. He bent down, looking at Jake's hazel eyes, and within seconds, Jake's breathing was back to normal.

However, Jake was, once again, becoming breathless due to the boy saving him.

The raven haired lad took the other boy by the hand towards the back, walking him to the majestic area where the forest and lake met. Taking the container of food Jake packed, a couple of waters, and a couple of beers, Caiden felt the igniting of the hottest flame roaring through his veins.

"Maybe you should stick to water," Caiden chuckled, handing him a cold bottle.

Taking a seat by the same tree from earlier that day, Jake thanked him for the water. He was fine with drinking if it wasn't too much. The games, on the other hand, were nightmares brought to life that continued haunting him.

"I can hold my own, Caiden," Jake spoke, once chugging half the container.

"The scene I just witnessed says otherwise," Caiden replied, an unknown emotion plastered on his face.

"It wasn't about the drinking; it was about drinking games," Jake stated with no emotion, "Last time I did the whole drinking games thing, some shit happened."

"So you don't mind getting drunk?" Caiden handed Jake a beer.

"I'm a lightweight, so I don't drink much, but I can have a couple of beers," Jake admitted, opening the bottle handed to him.

"Let me guess, you've never had a drunk one night stand," Caiden laughed, imagining what kind of drunk he would be.

"Not never, but it's not my thing," Jake shrugged, swinging the beer back, taking a sip.

"Would you do it again?" Caiden bit his lip, nervous for the boy's answer.

"Drunk? Not my style, but I wouldn't mind a few sober games," His voice was low and seductive.

Jake had completely forgotten about the food he had specially made for himself, though his stomach was screaming at him. Caiden could hear the roaring lion within Jake, but was preoccupied gazing at the lips before him.

"There you are!" Taylor's voice broke the two apart, before their lips could collide. "I've been looking for you and calling you, J. Mike said you ran out."

"I just needed a break, that's all," Jake could hear a cry coming from his heart, as he answered.

Caiden could feel every emotion Jake threw out, though invisible to Taylor.

"You couldn't answer my calls?" Tay asked, more calm than when she first reached the two.

"You know I leave it in the safe during crisis," Jake finished off the bottle, hanging his head back to the trunk of the tree.

"I gotta get back inside, but Caiden, make sure he doesn't have more than two beers. Trust me," the long haired brunette warned before turning around and heading back to the house.

"I can have another and I'll be fine, Caiden," the curly haired lad rolled away from the tree, laying his back on the grass.

"I don't know if to trust you," the other boy found himself lying with Jake, watching the boy's profile, as the curly haired lad was admiring the stars.

"Don't I look trustworthy?" Jake rotated his head, meeting with chocolate brown eyes.

"How do you usually handle parties?" Caiden retorted with the question.

"I don't party at Brandon, but here, I usually come down for a beer or two and then go back up to my room."

The force pulling the two together was stronger than ever.

"Shocker," Caiden laughed, earning him a glare from the curly haired lad. "Were you always so studious?"

"Mostly, yeah, but I used to drink more. Until..." Jake looked up, focusing on the full moon, "I have a very rare allergic reaction, which is induced when certain drinks are mixed. The first and last time I joined a drinking game, someone thought it would be funny to mix a bunch of shit together when I was already drunk, so I was utterly unaware of what was happening."

"So, you swore off all drinking games?" Caiden studied the movements of Jake's lips, as he spoke.

"I ended up in the hospital that night and didn't wake up for about three days. My lungs practically gave up on me," Jake nodded, turning his head to face the boy, one last time.

Caiden nodded, making a mental note to never suggest a drinking game, or mix any alcohol. He had been writing up everything that makes up Jake in his mind, as the time had passed.

"So, you rather fuck sober, and don't enjoy the whole party scene?" Caiden summarized, his eyes never leaving Jake's.

"I don't mind a small get together, and yeah, I rather remember the night before."

"So you know who the daddy is?"

"Yup, I gotta know who to call for child support."

"Thinking ahead, okay, I like that."

"I mean, you don't know how many children you could have running around, you know?"

"But you don't do one night stands."

"That right there is not that point."

"Then what is?"

"Caiden, you think too much," The two laughed, basking in the happiness surrounding them.

The plastered bodies were still dancing on top of one another, as Jake and Caiden made their way back in. Heading towards the kitchen, Jake grabbed two more beers, before walking towards the stairs, with Caiden right behind him.

"You can stay and find your next victim, if you'd like," The words tasted like expired milk, as Jake sounded them.

Caiden wasn't fully comfortable with leaving Jake alone, particularly after listening to the drinking-game-from-hell story.

Also, for an unknown reason, Caiden wasn't in the mood to lay with just anyone. Though, there were many looking his way, who maybe would have had a chance at Brandon.

"So you can die off some alcohol poisoning and not be able to collect child support from the dude you might have slept with that one time? Nah, I'm good," Caiden teased, a smirk dressed on his lips.

Jake continued up the steps, before turning left and ending up by his door. Once the two were inside, Jake locked the door, knowing at some point couples would make their way up the stairs.

This was something the group agreed on; the lot of friends all locked their doors with keys and only they were allowed to open them back up. Sex on someone else's bed was off limits, which had them all thanking Jake for the original thought.

"Is this a rare sight? You know, you sober without someone on your arm?" Jake cursed himself silently, unsure why his mouth asked the question.

"I rarely get drunk, actually; I hold my liquor very well. Well, when I drink, that is," Caiden replied, taking a seat on the made bed with Jake beside him. "I had a couple of beers and I felt that was enough."

"Okay," Jake nodded, opening up his third beer of the night.

"I don't know how rare it is, since I have you in bed, anyway," Caiden's finger moved on its own, turning Jake's head to face him. "I never leave a party without some candy."

"I would rather have something salty", Jake challenged, biting his lip.

"I can arrange that," the chocolate brown eyed boy raised the stakes.

"Make it happen, Caiden," the other lad licked his lips, playing along.

Caiden let out a low chuckle, watching as the boy in the striped shirt took a couple of gulps of the beer in hand. He could easily get him in bed if he wanted, but something inside kept him on a nonexistent rope.

Caiden was treading an identified sea with waves swallowing every part of his past. He could feel himself beg for land, uncertain where to seek it. A part of his soul yelled inside, and he had a gut feeling Jake had been the shore he searched.

"What about the ring pop?" Caiden raised a brow, disputing playfully.

"I'm craving something different now," Jake reached into his pant pocket, clicking away at the small remote, trying to steady his heart. He could feel his pants growing tighter and his eyes mimicking the chocolate ones staring from his hazel eyes to his lips.

"Jake..." Caiden sounded his name in a way that had Jake ready to act on whatever his mind and body were yearning for.

A knock on the door had the two jump.

Why was there always someone stopping them?

It was as if the universe was bringing them together just to tease the two.

"Jake we need you out here! We're bringing out the karaoke and you promised!" A whiny, but sober Jenna shouted through the door.

"Give me a minute, and I'll be out there," Jake recalled the conversation he had with Jenna when the others were calling and inviting friends to the party.

Confusion read on Caiden's face, yet he still followed the boy out the door and down the stairs, several moments later. He could feel his heart shouting Jake's name, thinking he should have closed the gap between them.

"One song, dude," Jake warned, grabbing the mic from Landon, who was helping a few guys set up the sound for the karaoke machine.

"I know, J. Thanks," Jenna smiled, walking back to where Bailey was standing.

"One or two?" Jake asked through his mic, his eyes meeting the breath thief's.

"TWO!"

"ONE!"

Cheers were heard throughout the living room, shouting both numbers.

"R&B or something a little more upbeat?" Jake asked once again, his eyes seeping into Caiden's.

"R&B," Caiden's was the only voice Jake could hear.

"Hey Landon, put number two!" Jake let out a howl, listening to the melody start off.

The lyrics to Walking on the Ceiling by Jordan Fisher were ringing in Caiden's ears, his eyes locked with the karaoke singer's.

Caiden could feel every letter being sung in his bones. He wasn't sure if it was Jake's voice or the sensuality within the staring contest that was driving him more insane.

Jake moved with the music, singing to the one boy in the back of the room, gazing into his eyes with nothing but lust and infatuation. Jake knew this song was meant for the oblivious girls, but he couldn't help himself being captivated by the raven haired boy.

"Don't worry, it's just beer, J," Taylor handed him a cup, once he finished his singing. His eyes still not breaking contact with the boy behind the others.

Nodding, Jake chugged the small amount of the wheat drink, before the crowd shouted for an encore. He did warn them it would only be one song, but Jenna's eyes of desperation caught the corner of his eyes.

"Sing the other one, please!?" A drunk Kailey suggested, with everyone agreeing and cheering.

"You want another Jordan song?" Jake asked, confusion read in his voice. He was given those two songs to choose from, when he had spoken to Jenna.

"Why not?" an amused Caiden licked his lips, watching as the boy began moving with the music, once again.

This time Contact began playing, which was, funny enough, describing the pent up emotions smothering the two.

Getting a little too into the song, Jake caught himself in another competition with the boy in the back. His eyes dressed with desires and wishes transmitted to Caiden.

Before they could request another encore, the curly haired boy handed Landon back the mic. Taylor handed him some water, before getting back to whoever she was talking to.

Jake wasn't sure if he missed it, or if it something that had happened privately, but he caught a glimpse of Jenna and Bailey with their lips attached. This brought a sense of joyfulness to Jake, seeing his friends happy.

Taking a deep breath, Jake walked towards the stairs, knowing the boy in the white t would follow him. Maybe Jake wasn't one for one night stands, but he definitely was one for releasing sexual frustrations.

No words were spoken when the two made it to their shared room. Before Jake could fully lock the door, Caiden turned him around, placing him against the door. Caiden's right arm rested above Jake's head.

Jake felt his breath suddenly disappear, being so close to Caiden. Caiden could have talked him down, but thought mouth to mouth would be the best option.

The raven haired lad leaned in, placing his lips on the other boy's and without a single thought, Jake responded, heating up the kiss.

Their lips moved in heated passion, syncing up all the thoughts and emotions driving through their veins.

A moan was let out of Jake's lips, as Caiden grabbed on his curly locks. Jake responded by playing with the hair on the nape of Caiden's neck. Another moan within the kiss sounded. This time, however, it was from the raven haired lad.

Jake felt their lower regions caged, begging to be set free. Caiden pushed himself closer to Jake, their bodies glued to one another.

"Lock it," Caiden's voice was low and dark, breaking away and panting.

"Yes, sir," Jake smirked, locking the door, before walking past Caiden and taking a seat on the bed.
