Jay's pov:
"What?" I lean forward still saying between David and Paul. Marko sits on the other side of Paul. "Yea he's the one who turned me. Back in 1920." Max says with a smile etching on his face as he memorized it. David glances at me and Paul, and Marko raising his eyebrow. That's the kind of look where he's silently asking us what the hell was going on. He felt like Max would of told him this before, but maybe he didn't realize my last name was Copper.
I stare at the man with the round glasses, thinking. "What's he like?" Max looks at me with a glint in his eyes. "He was very powerful. He saw I was sick and dying and told me about the life of a vampire and asked if I wanted him to turn me. I got scared and denied it. Later throughout the years I was getting weaker and weaker, near death. I found him again and told him I wanted him to turn me, and he did. Showed me the ropes of the vampire life." Max smiles again staring deep in thought.
David laughs breaking the silence. All of our heads snap to him. "You were scared?" Max nods eyeing the punk blonde. "You never seem scared. I mean of anything." "Well I was human then. I wasn't ready to face death." "Would he be on our side? Like protecting me and helping fight the other vampires?" I ask going back to the subject.
"Probably, once he realizes your his ancestor." Max says.
"I want to meet him." I say. David's head flicks over to me. "Let us at least meet him first to make sure he's safe." "David I can handle it. Plus he might trust us more if I talk to him." I huff. "She's right. We can go with her to protect her." Marko speaks up. David thinks for a moment. His mind swirling with thoughts on what to do. Scared to make a wrong decision. He nods agreeing. He didn't want to agree but he knew they were right.
I look at him grabbing his hand, thanking him. He presses his lips together before looking away. Uneasy washing over his face. "He is still alive right?" I ask Max. "I believe so. Can't think why he wouldn't be." He shrugs his shoulders. "Ok let me find out where he is and I'll set up a meet for you." Max walks closer. "Right thank you." I smile feeling Paul's hand snake around my waist. "Well let's go meet Dwayne and eat." David stands up adjusting his jacket.
We thank Max and step outside to the bikes. The fall crisp air hitting our faces. Orange and red leaves scattered all on the ground. Fall was always my favorite season. Orange was my favorite color after all. Orange was every where in fall. The cool air you feel once you step outside was relaxing. I step over to David's bike. Choosing to ride with him next.

"Hold on a second." David stands still closing his eyes. I look at Paul and Marko confused on what he's doing. "Ok I'm ready." He pops his eyes open sitting down on his bike. I just stare at him confused. He turns to see me staring at him. Wondering why I was just standing there. "What?" "Are you okay?" I asked him.
He slowly nods raising his eyebrow. "What were you doing?" He still looks confused until he thinks about it for a moment. A smirk etching his face once he realizes. "Oh vampires that are tied together from the same blood can speak into each other's minds no matter how far they are. I was telling Dwayne to meet us at the diner." I nod understanding. "As long as I have been with you guys how come I never knew about that?" I ask climbing on the back of David's motorcycle.
Laughs escape from Paul and Marko as they climb on there bikes. "Guess I forgot to mention it." David smirks speeding off once I held on. I shriek tightening my grip around his waist. I hear laughter rumble beside us. I look to see Marko and Paul on each side looking at me laughing. I chuckle shaking my head at the two crazy blondes.
We pull up to the diner. The bright blue sign shining and illuminating the parking lot. Dwayne stands near the entrance with his hands shoved in his pockets. A wide smile across his face. "Hey there beautiful." He says as I walk up to him. "Hey." I smile back being pulled into his strong hold. We all pile in a booth. I sat between Marko and Dwayne, with David and Paul on the other side. Marko and Paul being across from each other.
I scan the menu trying to decide on what to eat. Whether it be the nasty steak they try to make that always turns out half burnt. Or the delicious burgers they make. Marko and Paul always order the same thing every time. They don't even try to see the menu to see if something else there stomachs will crave. They order the big bacon burger, that looks so greasy you could almost feel a heart attack just by looking at it.
I decided on a chicken sandwich with fries. David orders a BLT and Dwayne orders garlic noodles. While we wait for our food Paul and Marko swing at each other from across the table laughing. Once in a while bumping into me with quiet sorries before they go back to it. "So did you find out anything." Dwayne raising his voice over the loud laughter from Paul and Marko. "Yes actually. The vampire King is the one who turned Max." David says scoffing still not wanting to believe it.
"Your kidding." Dwayne leans in eyes going wide. "I'm not." David says popping the t. "So?" Dwayne rolls his wrist wanting David to go on. "So he's going to try to find him and see if we can meet with him, hoping he'll be on our side."

Dwayne's eyes flick over to me with hope sparkling in his eyes. I can see worry sets in all of them. Yeah Paul and Marko are messing around and seem unfazed, but I've been around them long enough I know when they are feeling uneasy. Paul smokes a lot more when he's anxious, and Marko constantly bites at his fingers zoning out. David runs his hands across his face. Dwayne wiggles his fingers weather it be tapping his leg of flicking random items around him.
They all did in through out the day when anxiety crept in them. I look over to Dwayne and he is holding a salt packet between his pointer finger and thumb flicking it back and forth. I squeeze his arm making him look at me. Soon as he sees it's me squeezing him a small smile forms on his face.
"Here's your guys food!" A small waitress steps over with hot food on a tray. "Big bacon burger for the 2 gentleman." She sets the burgers in front of Paul and Marko. There eyes lighting up as they eye the greasy burger. "A BLT." She sets the plate in front of David. He eyes her before inspecting his sandwich. "A chicken sandwich for the lady." She smiles at me setting down my plate. I thank her quietly before lifting the sandwich to my mouth.
"And lastly garlic noodles." She sets on down in front of Dwayne. He nods at her smiling. "Can I have some more ketchup?" Paul asks with his mouth full. Ketchup lining his lips. I softly swat at him wanting him to be a gentlemen in public. His eyes dart to me smirking as he chews and swallows. "Yes of course." The waitress takes off.
"Can you at least be somewhat decent?" I giggle a little. He takes a napkin wiping his mouth. Winking at me with mischief behind his eyes. "Even Marko is being decent." I look at Marko. He is almost finished with his burger zoning out before looking up realizing were all staring at him. His bright blue eyes scan us as he licks his lips. "What did I do?"
"Nothing I was telling Paul he needs to be decent like you." I giggle picking at my fries. Marko's eyes glisten. A small chuckle escaping him. "Paul will never be decent when it comes to food." The waitress comes back handing Ketchup packets to Paul before stepping away when another table calls her.
We all eat our food enjoying every last bit of it. Paul makes a mess eating like before. "You ready to head back?" David asks all of us. After all agreeing we go out to the bikes. I climb on the back of Dwayne's bike making him smile wide. All the boys fight about who I ride with, all wanting me to ride with them. Marko pouts like a child if I don't ride with him. I try to make it fair and ride with each of them.
The loud engines purr. If I wasn't used to it by now then my ears would ring. We drive through the roads. The fall air is still crisp and cool. The moon is a full moon, illuminating the night. Marko and Paul drive ahead of us leading the way. Well me and Dwayne follow in behind. We see a figure fly by knocking Marko and Paul off of there bikes. The metal frame scraping the road and Paul and Marko sliding down the road along with there bikes. "Paul! Marko!" I shout over the engines knowing they probably couldn't hear me.
A black haired man steps out of the shadows laughing. "Nice to finally meet you guys." David and Dwayne screech to a holt eyeing each other and the man. Marko and Paul sit up from the ground with cuts all on there face from the accident. There beautiful motorcycles now all scratched up laying in the road. "You must be Axel." David grunts gripping the bike handles until his knuckles turned white.
"Oh you learned my name." Axel smirks stepping forward. My grip around Dwayne's waist tightens. I hope nothing happens to my boys. I hate when they have to go through trouble because of me. "You can't have her." Dwyane speaks up growling. "Well I don't care. I'm going to have her." Axel clasps his hands together looking at all of us. "I see you peeking from behind Dwayne." He chuckled tipping his head to the side to see me. I gasp and squint my eyes hoping it was just a bad dream, but it wasn't. When I opened my eyes he was still there. Paul and Marko were still injured.
"I would back away now while you still can." David kicks his kickstand up and climbs off of his bike. Anger seeping through him. I feel an arm snake around my shoulders yanking me back off of the bike. Dwayne spins his head around and sees the red headed girl named Lila pinning my arms behind my back. "You let her go!" Dwayne climbs off of his bike eyes yellow. She just giggles dragging me to Axel. My fingernails turned black from me digging into the ground trying to get away.

8 117Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess. (This work is also being serialised on Webnovel under the name Revile as a trial run)
