Jaylynn's pov:

I sit in this quiet old cave with the boys doing there own thing. David sits in his chair staring at the wall while Dwayne picks through the books he collected through out time that's on his shelf. Paul lights a joint and lays across the couch humming to himself. Marko sits criss cross and picks at some of his patches on his jacket. Every vampire has a soulmate, and mine happens to be all 4 of these boys. Crazy right? Well is can be. Paul and Marko are the hyper ones of the group, David is the main one in charge other then Max. Dwayne is quite most of the time but can be hyper too sometimes. We have a little boy and a girl around my age as well, there names is Laddie and star. They mostly stay in the back doing there own thing. I met the boys when bumping into them on the boardwalk and they wouldn't stop following me around making funny perv jokes and complimenting me.

"Max says there's other vampires out here and we need to be careful, specially with Jay still being human." David breaks the silence saying with my nickname. All there heads turn to him all nodding in agreement. "Which means you stay with us no matter what. We can't have anything happening to you." He looks me in the eyes with worry all over his face. "Don't worry Chica! We'll protect you." Paul walks over wrapping his arms around my shoulders. I blush and look up at him. "I trust you guys." "Good cause we would die protecting you. Weather you like it or not." Marko looks up giving me a cheeky smile. I rolls my eyes giggling only making Marko's smile widen.

"The suns about to come up we should go to bed." David stands up adjusting his coat. "Come on doll." Dwayne picks me up carrying me to our shared bedroom in the back. I giggle kicking my feet until I'm placed down on the bed. I take my clothes off and put shorts and a tank top on climbing back into bed. The guys all remove there boots, shirts and jackets leaving them only in there pants before climbing into bed with me. Marko lays down first and I scoot closer to him laying my head on his chest. Dwayne lays next to me wrapping his arm around my waist. David lays his head on my stomach, and Paul lays his head on my leg, with all of us falling asleep fast.

I wake up to growling and shouting. My vision is blurry but I can make out David is yelling and fighting with some guy while Paul and Marko hover over me freaking out. Dwayne chases the guy out and runs over to me with David following. "Jay stay awake for us ok? Please?" Paul shakes me lightly. My vision goes in and out repeatedly. "I--i'm sleeeepyy." I mumble drifting in and out of consciousness. "You can't sleep right now please stay awake!" David shouts leaning down to me with tears brimming his eyes. I feel my neck hurting and feeling hot. "How did that vampire come in and drink from her with out waking us!?" Dwayne questions worried. "Must be super intelligent. Hell if I know." David looks back at Dwayne. Marko holds a rag to my neck trying to stop the bleeding.

"You better not die on us! You better not we need you! We can't live without you!" Marko cries out with his eyes golden from anger. "Now that the suns down we need to take her to Max!" David says standing up pacing the room . "OK I'll carry her there, you guys follow." Dwayne says picking me up taking the rag from Marko and holding it to my seeping wound again. They all nod and fly towards Max's house. David pounds on the door waiting for it to open. After a couple of minutes Max still hasn't opened the door so David pounds on it again but harder. "Come on open up Max hurry!!!" The doors open and Max's face appears at the door looking around. Once his eyes land on me he opens the door wider letting us in.

David's pov:

"What happened?" Max asks seeing Jay unconscious in Dwayne's arms. "The vampires you told us about snuck in while we were asleep and drank from her! We tried to stop the bleeding as much as we could!" Dwayne speaks up after standing in shock. "Follow me." Max walks to a room with us following. There lays a bed in the room. "Lay her here." He points at it. Dwayne lays her down carefully trying to hold back tears. "I'm going to sow up her neck and test her blood type and give her some blood that I sneak from the hospital." Max says gather needle and thread. He sits next to her and pulls through rag from her neck, seeing two punctured holes deep in her neck with blood seeping out. He carefully sows up the holes as perfectly as he can while we all stand around her not wanting to leave her side. Her long brown hair matted around her neck with blood all stuck in it.

"Ok now let me test her blood type." He swipes her blood from her neck and goes to test it, leaving us boys with her. After what seemed like forever he walks back in with a blood bag. "She's o positive. Also after I did some more testing it shows that her blood is really rare. That's why the vampires targeted her. Her blood is the most tastiest." He says while he sets up an iv for her to get more blood into her system. "How come we never crave her blood and go crazy for it? Her blood don't even have a scent to it like everyone else?" I ask standing up. "Because she's your guys soulmate. If a vampires soulmate is human then there blood won't effect them and they won't be tempted to drink from them. " He explained stepping back.

"But I do have news you guys won't like." He looks at us fixing his glasses. "Don't tell me she's not going to make it. Do not." Paul points his finger at Max while all of us look at him in shock. Max got silent for a minute looking at us. I take a big inhale and wait for the words to spill from his mouth. Feeling like my insides are tearing up. "No she'll make it. Now that she's got blood pumping through her again. But I'll have to erase her memory only temporarily, and have her start a new life to protect her from the other vampires. She'll live a normal life with out you guys, in a place where there no vampires. But like I said it's only temporarily until we can get rid of the other vampires." He spills it all out of his mouth. "No way in hell are we doing that." Marko clenched his jaw and his fists.

"I agree she needs to stay with us." Dwayne speaks up next. "I want her by our side 24/7." I grit my teeth. "Look if you guys want her to be safe we need to do this. You can have her back after we kill those other vampires. Otherwise she's going to actually get killed." Max explains huffing. "No we will protect her with our life. We won't let anything happen to her!" Paul chimes in whining. "You said that before and she almost died just a moment ago." Max raises an eyebrow. "Fine but if something happens to her I'll kill you and I don't care if your the head vampire!" I walk forward and point my finger in his face. "Understood." He nods his head at me.

After she is all healed up Max puts his hand over her head and erases her memory, not only her memories but her memories of us, and vampires. It hurts to see this happening, I wish we were better at protecting her and this never happened. I wish I was holding and kissing her all over her face.
