Malvo's pov
I sat at the end of the grand banquet table for the celebration, awaiting y/n and Skywalkers presence. I couldn't wait to see her in that dress, I had it made just for her. Maybe once she saw the beauty of it she would appreciate all I had done for her.
Everyone was ecstatic from the game's turnout and the anticipation to meet the winners was on everyone's mind. I had been sat waiting, talking to people, and sipping on my drink, the slight feeling of anxiety creeping up on me as I waited. Waited for her to show up.
That was when the large double doors to the hall were pushed open, revealing a breathtaking sight. I saw y/n, her curves highlighted perfectly in the dress, her hair put up in an elegant way. The way she walked was so... seductive, and as for Skywalker, I felt myself boil up with rage as he walked in by her side.
I stood up, clapping along with the other guests as they entered, holding out my hand as y/n walked by. As if in slow motion, she looked me up and down while she walked by, and turned her head up at me. Did she just decline my hand?
I knew Skywalker had been in her head, probably feeding her lies about me in spite of his jealously. It was his fault she had turned on me. I wasn't going to let that slide...
Y/n's pov
I strutted confidently past Malvo, repulsed by his offer to take his hand. Didn't he realise I was a Sith? We aren't known for our kindness.
Had he really assumed I would just fall for him in one night. Skywalker had said it, I was just frustrated, and I'm pretty sure I know what the centre of that frustration is.
I found myself staring at Skywalker, the way his suit pressed into his toned build, his extremely chiselled jawline.
And then the Padawan braid would always bring me down from my high, a reminder of what he was. A Jedi.

My eyes trailed from his chest to meet his eyes, where I realised he was looking right at me. Shit, I wonder how long he'd seen me looking for. It couldn't have been that long, right?
An annoying tapping on my shoulder soon caught my attention. I spun around to meet an unfamiliar face smiling excitedly at me. I frowned at them, confused.
"Ah! I was so impressed by your performance in the arena last night. It really was amazing!" She said, her smile not wavering,"I was just wondering where you got those skills from?"
I then noticed the notepad and pen she had in her hand. A journalist, ugh. "It's what years training as a Sith taught me," I said bluntly, before downing my drink to the back of my throat and letting the burning sensation trickle down,"Shame it had to be wasted on your planets pathetic game."
Her smile quickly faded, turning to a look of concern. I shrugged at her before making my way over to the food splayed on the long table.
I didn't want to be plastered over their media. If I were going to be famous, it would be for ruling the Empire, not beating some silly game.
If being a Sith has taught me anything, it's that perseverance is key to unlocking what you want.
And I knew what I wanted.
"And what exactly would that be?" Said his voice beside me. I glanced my eyes at him, it was Anakin.
"What?" I asked, puzzled by his random question.
"What is it that you want?" He asked, a smirk now spread on his face.
Wait a minute...
"How dare you Skywalker! Stay out of my thoughts!" I said through gritted teeth.
He hushed me, placing a finger on my lips,"Shhh now, it's a new skill I learnt. Maybe try keeping your thoughts quieter y/n."
I stared down at the drinks, my jaw clenched in anger as he hovered his hands over glasses on the table, going over the selection of beverages on display.

I swept up a drink he was about to pick up before walking away. I didn't have time for his annoying prescence right now.
"Rude." I heard his voice mutter.
I turned my head at him quickly as I walked, flashing a face as a warning.
To this he just shook his head, still smirking, before walking away.
I decided to go drink out on the balcony, which would provide a break from the loud noise and journalists inside.
The view of Bespin was beautiful from here. The serenity of the immense, silky clouds was like a breath of fresh air.
I was stood with my arms resting on the railing, drink in hand, when I felt a hand glide to my waist. Then another.
My whole body tensed up. I knew who it was.
"Get off me Malvo," I seethed, trying to pull his arm away from me, but to no avail. His grip on me tightened.
"Shh. Listen... I don't like how we left it," He whispered in my ear. I felt his hand travel up to cover my mouth and the other stayed trapped around my waist, yet I could feel his fingers edging down my dress, hitching it up.
I realised he had a material held in his hand over my mouth. A...cloth.
There was nothing I could do. I was helpless. I felt like a spectator, just watching myself pass out from whatever he had drugged me with.
Anakin's pov
I was talking to one of the many journalists at the event, many more surrounding me, all pushing forward to try and get an interaction with me.
The man I was talking with was rambling on about how amazing the game was, and he asked me a question. However my attention was averted, his words becoming nothing but a muffled mess.
I watched, anger burning inside as Malvo followed y/n to the balcony.
A stinging jolt twitched at my core. Something was wrong. I tried reaching out to y/n though the force, only to be met with silence. There were no thoughts, only the faint hum of her heart beating softly in her chest.
What had he done...
I pushed my way through the crowd, rage swelling up inside of me. I could hear Malvos thoughts. Evil thoughts.
I made my way to the balcony, and saw her limp body being held in his arms, his hand stroking her face.
"Get OFF her you scumbag!" I yelled, bearing my lightsabre.
A look of panic flashed across the guilty man's face, and the sound of gasps and panic sounded from inside. I couldn't care less, I just wanted to give this man what he deserved. Death.
I grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him up as he struggled against my grasp. I held him up against me, making him anable to move.
"I know what you were planning to do, you disgusting man." I seethed into his ear.
"She'll never want you Skywalker, why are you doing this," He laughed,"She wants me. We made love, didn't you hear her moans."
I felt repulsed by the thought of him with her. "YOU DONT TALK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT!" I shouted, pushing him into the balconies railing. "I'm gonna kill you now..." I lowered my head, my eyes just showing under my furrowed brow.
I began walking slowly to him, lightsabre poised. "YOU'RE JEALOUS, SKYWALKER," He spat,"YOU KNOW SHE'LL NEVER LIKE YOU!"
I was just about to send a fatal slash to his side, when the whirring of a ship came close, and the air it disturbed around it came bursting at us in jets of wind. I looked to the side and was shocked by what I saw.
It was a Republic ship, a ship I recognised.
It was then that I saw Obi-Wan sat in the cockpit.

OUTLIERS
30 years ago brought the first superhumans, regular people given great power seemingly at random. 15 years ago brought the paranormals, stranger and often weaker in their abilities, but far more numerous. Today, the world holds its breath . . . Or at least, it should. Most people, though, are just trying to get on with their lives; some successfully, some less so. It's a sensible goal, but it can be hard when shadowy conspiracies and worldwide N.G.O.s are turning your city into a proxy battleground over world-shattering secrets. It’s bad enough when you’ve just woken up with superpowers and terrorists are holding your school hostage. It’s even worse if you’re an illegal vigilante stuck in the middle of the whole Charlie Foxtrot after a supervillain raid drops vital information in your lap. For Hannah Eiling-Kingsford and Flint Perez, life is about to get a lot harder to get on with. ----- Outliers is a superhero story. Okay, so not so much superhero as vaguely superhero-ish. It's about two teenagers dealing with, among other things, new powers, psycho exes, mysterious datapads and a giant, secret war between the foremost powers-that-be, over information that could forever change the world. Again. You know, normal teenage stuff. Outliers contains some foul language and mild sexual references. It is a complete story, and can also be read on its own website. If you enjoy the story, please consider writing a review, either here or on WebFictionGuide, or just drop a vote for it on Topwebfiction. Any and all support is appreciated, and comments, questions and critiques are all expected and encouraged.

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
