《UNORTHADOX ~ Anakin x Reader Fanfic》04

I sat in the cockpit of the Scimitar, the soft hum of the engine droning in my ears as the bright blue belt of hyperspace zoomed in front of us.
My Master was sat in the pilots seat, a determined look on his face. This mission was extremely important to us. Palpatine was relying on us to find two Jedi!
From the Emperors undercover work at the Sith temple, it was to our understanding that the Padawans name was Anakin Skywalker, with his Master being the infamous Obi-Wan Kenobi.
But the Jedi were no match for the Sith, so they were easy targets. Right?
"Do not underestimate them, remember. We must go fully prepared for any circumstance," Gale said, still staring into the blue light.
"Fine. Though I doubt they're as much of a threat as the Emperor is making them out to be, Master," I scoffed.
"Your skills may be adequate, though I've heard stories of the young talented Skywalker," He hissed between his teeth, turning to look at me, "So we must treat them as a high level threat."
"Yes Master," I gave in and turned to face the stars whooshing by.
I doubted he was that powerful. If only Patorr had seen the way he looked at me at the club, seen that I was the one in control.

We had just exited the ship and were walking the streets of Coruscant, heading towards the Jedi temple.
After navigating our way through the packed streets, we finally came upon the large temple. It had a seemingly endless number of steps leading up to it. What a waste of effort, I thought.
"You wouldn't be wrong there," I heard an unfamiliar voice say behind me.
I spun around, hiding my Imperial badge as I did so. It took my brain a moment to process who was standing before me. His soft beard along with his white robes made me realise who he was. Obi-Wan Kenobi.
A jolt of pure disgust turned on me as I realised I was facing a Jedi.
"Y/n, go search for Anakin, I'll handle this," whispered Gale. He must've read my thoughts too.

I nodded in understanding and turned away, walking until I reached a Dark alley. I needed to focus. If I were able to contact Skywalker before, then surely I could do it again.
I shut my eyes and concentrated my mind on him. My ears began ringing as I searched. I thought of his braid, his eyes, his robes. An image appeared in my head, slightly muddled but still there; I saw a small transport ship. Another one appeared, slightly clearer this time.
A beautiful girl was looking into my eyes.
I heard the words "Padmé" and a very faint "Naboo" echo in my ears.
But I could sense him still on this planet. I knew it. I could feel that eerie knot in my stomach whenever his irritating presence was near.
I hated him, just as I hated any other Jedi that crossed my path.
I exited the trance, deciding to follow my instincts on his whereabouts.
I took turns when his presence became stronger, making my way through the labyrinth streets of the city.

Anakin's pov
We were just about to board the ship, Padmé was looking at me, asking if this was the best decision.
I reassured her as I had many a time before that I would protect her at all costs, because I would.
However, the noises around me became muffled and I felt a twist in my stomach. I turned to face the streets of the city and the twist became sharper. It felt like somebody had stuck a dagger in me, twisting it tortureously.
I had felt this before.
At The Outlander Club.
It was her, I knew it.
Y/n's pov
I let the force guide me through the city. Taking turn after turn until I saw it.
A transport ship just like the one I had visioned sat waiting to leave on a landing pad. I ran up to it and hid behind the ship, fumbling around my pockets until I found what I needed
A tracking device.
With a smirk I attached it to the side of the ship. I knew I now had to move, as Anakin Skywalker was only a few metres away from me, maybe he could sense me too.

I heard a hissing sound as the ship prepared to take off. This was when I moved. Crouching, I ran to the neighbouring ship and crawled through its open door.
Security wasn't very tight, I mean it's not often a Sith shows up on a Republican planet.
I prepared myself in the pilots seat and waited for them to lift off.
Their ship swirled dust and leaves below it as it lifted off the ground before departing.
I waited a few seconds before turning on the engine to my ship and flicking a few buttons, mimicking what Gale does when he flies.
It was my first time being in control, but it didn't seem too difficult. I managed to steer the ship after them out of the planets atmosphere, the view of space becoming clearer as I did so, until all that surrounded me was darkness with stars and planets lightyears away dotted around.
~~~~
I had been following them for a few hours and had managed to get a hold of how the ship works, practicing the controls as the journey went on.
The alluring planet of Naboo had grown from a small speck in the distance to the vast sphere of captivating green and blue that now stood before me.
After I had passed the planets atmosphere, I found a clearing in a forest nearby to where they had landed where I could hide the ship.
Upon landing, I watched as Skywalker and who I assumed was Padmé walk up the steps of their hideaway.
I stayed in the ship, as I thought it best to tell Gale of my coordinates before attacking.
I used my comlink to send him the coordinates before looking back up to observe the pair.
I watched as they stood together at the balcony, her dress framing herself beautifully. The way she looked at him.. it made me feel sick.
I could sense... warmth? It was an unfamiliar feeling and I shook it off, however my stomach became I tight knot as I looked up again.
I saw her leaning into him, their faces becoming closer and closer until...
~~~~
Anakin's pov
I stood looking out at the idyllic lake, ripples of water sending sun light dazzling across the surface. I turned to my right to see Padme staring up at me, her eyes had a twinkle of desperation in them.
She moved closer to me, until our lips touched. I didn't know what to do, so I stood there and closed my eyes in bewilderment, slightly shocked at her forwardness.
Why didn't I kiss her back?
I thought I liked her. I had for 10 years thought of her and now.. now I couldn't even kiss the girl I love back.
She pulled away fast, her cheeks red and her gaze fixed downwards.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that," she said, turning away from me to focus on the lake.
I didn't reply. I couldn't find the words to express my feelings, and I decided to head inside.
What was wrong with me!?
The girl of my dreams had just made a move and I didn't act upon that.
I sat down on the soft seat in the room I had entered, and decided to collect my thoughts.
Mindfulness should've been easy surrounded by the beautiful scenery, but I felt my mind wandering.
Wandering to her.
Her who is a Sith of all people, at least according to Obi-Wan. I wasn't supposed to feel any kind of attachment, yet I found myself thinking of her more often than necessary. That's why I couldn't kiss her back, because deep down I had that disturbing pit in my stomach. I could sense she was near.
~~~~
Y/n's pov
They kissed.
I wondered what was going through that girls mind, kissing a Jedi. Wasn't that against their code?
I'd seen enough and wanted to attack now more than ever.
Gale would be here soon and so I decided to get a head start, exiting the ship and making my way through the foliage of the forest, heading towards the target.
