I sighed as the young Jedi lunged at me.
I easily dodged him by taking a step to the left.
"Cal, you'd be lucky to kill a Womp rat."
"I'm trying my best! I haven't done this since order 66." He glared.
I felt pain inside of me as he mentioned order 66.
My older brother Anakin as lost on that day.
He died, but not physically.
Anakin couldn't bring himself to kill me that day, but he did try to turn me to the dark side.
I continued to train with Cal, he almost hit my arm, but I sued the force to halt it before he could.
"You're improving, but there's still a lot of work we need to do." I sighed.
Cal sighed and walked towards me.
"Cal... are those stormtroopers?" I asked,
Pointing behind him.
"Yes, those are." He groaned, taking his lightsaber into his hands.
I grabbed my lightsaber and smirked as the purple color shined I quickly eliminated the stormtroopers, but froze when I saw my brother.
"Cal.. get back to the ship and leave." I said,
Keeping a distance from Anakin.
Cal ignored my command and ran towards me.
"Y/n, join me. We would be unstoppable."
"I will never join you." I said with a glare.
"So be it." He glared through his mask a she attacked me.
"Cal, stay back!" I yelled at him.
I blocked my brothers attacks, but it didn't take long for him to disarm me.
I started using the force to block his attacks.
I force pushed him back and grabbed my lightsaber.
I was getting back up when I felt something pierce through my chest.
Anakin gasp quietly and fled the scene.
Cal sprinted towards me and fell to his knees.

He picked me up and carried me to the mantis.
I knew I wasn't going to make it, so I was going to survive as long as I could.
I groaned in pain when he began going up the ramp of the mantis.
My hand was covering my wound, so they others didn't know how I got hurt.
Cal laid me down and grabbed a first aid kit.
"What happened?!" Cere asked.
"Anakin... he s-stabbed me." I said, trying to hold in my pain.
I removed my hand from the wound, letting Cere see it. A gasp escaped her lips.
I felt the force consuming my body.
I handed Cal my lightsaber and smiled at him.
"Thank you for making this life more bearable..." I groaned.
"Y/n, keep breathing, please." He cried as he out the bacta pads on.
I moved my hand up to cup his cheek.
"I... love you..." I said as the force took over my body.
I saw Y/ns body fade into the force, leaving her clothing behind.
Cere walked behind me and please her hand on my shoulder reassuringly.
"What's going on here? Where's Y/n?" Greez asked, confused.
"She's gone... one with the force..." I managed to say, crying my eyes out.
Greez let out a shuddered breath, immediately feeling his eyes water.
I groaned as we landed on Bogano. I had tried to move on from Y/n, but I never fully recovered.
I looked at a hidden box.
I put her lightsaber in it a few days after she passed, I couldn't bare to see it anymore.
I carefully opened the box and gasped at the blue hue that surrounded it.
Did she leave a force Echo on her lightsaber.
I read the echo and saw a scene in my mind.

"You'll need to tell him how you feel eventually, Y/n." Cere said.
"No! I don't want to ruin our friendship." Y/n mumbled.
"I can guarantee that confessing won't ruin your relationship. He loves you as well, it's quite obvious.
"I don't want to risk it... I'll tell him when the time is right." Y/n awkwardly said.
"Don't blame me if you get the chance and don't take it." Cere sighed and walked away from Y/n.
I gasped, looking at the lightsaber in my hand.
Did she actually love me back?
I attached the lightsaber to my belt and left the ship.
"I should meditate, that echo was a lot to take in..." I talked to myself.
I walked over to a meditation area and sat down.
"Fancy meeting you here." A familiar voice said.
I looked up and saw Y/n, she was leaning against something.
"How are you here? I'm meditating." I questioned.
"The force works in mysterious ways. But that's not the reason I'm here. It's been a while since we last spoke, how are you?" She smiled.
"I'm alright, I've gotten better at fighting." I smiled bitterly.
She chuckled and looked at me weirdly.
"Have you now? I doubt that." She teased.
She definitely acted the same as the Y/n I loved.
I stood up and my eyes widened at the sight before me.
It was an arena, kind of like the one on Dathomir that I fought my master in.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to insult you or bring you down." She smiled, using the force to take her lightsaber from my belt.
She ignited it and smiled.
"It feels good to have this back."
Before we fought, I walked toward her and touched her arm.
She wasn't a force ghost, she was an actual human.
"Surprised?" She asked, pressing a quick kiss to my chin and pushed me back to my starting spot.
I hid my blush and took a defense position.
She started the offense, dominating it easily.
She used the force to pull the saber from my hand.
"Never forget that any sith can disarm you with the force." She said, walking back towards me with the lightsaber. She deactivated it and pressed it into my chest, while pressing her lips against mine.
My eyes widened, but I didn't fight to.
I was finally kissing her, but I couldn't even tell if this was a ghost, vision, or human.
"Cal, don't forget me." She said with a sad smile, breaking the kiss.
I woke up with a gasp, the crew of the Mantis looked at me confused.
"Where is Y/n..?" I asked, if I was dreaming, she must be alive!
"Who?" Cere asked, knowing that Y/n never existed.

Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
