I hummed, walking through the Jedi temple. My lightsaber hitting my belt every step I took. Today had been pretty tiring and bothersome, so I was looking for the one person that could cheer me up.
Anakin and I had been close for a long time, we both felt strong feelings for each other, but I had to push mine away because Jedi aren't allowed to have relationships.
I couldn't find Anakin, but I found Obi-Wan Kenobi.
"Master Kenobi, have you seen Anakin?" I asked.
"I'm afraid he's not here at the moment, the council sent him on a mission to protect senator Padme." He sighed. "But I could use your help." He stated, grabbing my hand and dragging me to the library.
"You see this?" He said holding out a dart of some sort. "I've been told it's from a place called Kamino. But when I search the archives for it or check maps, it's not there. I was wondering if you knew that planet since you travel a lot?"
I examine the dart.
"Yes actually, I've been to Kamino before. I can take you there." I suggested.
"Yes! That would be wonderful, thank you, L/n."
"Of course!" I smiled, leading him to a ship. We got onboard and I got into the pilots seat.
I waited for Obi-Wan to get seeded and ready. One he was ready, we took off for Kamino.
My holocom started beeping.
I put the coordinates in so I could take the call.
I answered my holocom and saw Anakin looking conflicted.
"Ani, what's wrong?" I asked.
"N/n...we need to talk..." he mumbled.
Obi-Wan looked over, confused.
"Master Kenobi, I'll drop you off at Kamino. And Anakin, meet me at Geonosis."
He nodded his head and the holocom ended.

We pulled up at Kamino and Obi-Wan got ready to hop off.
"Kenobi! May the force be with you. Contact me when you're ready to go." I said, he nodded and left.
I started course for Geonosis. Once I arrived, I saw Anakin with his face in his hands. I walked towards him and put my arm over his shoulder.
He looked towards me with red eyes from crying.
"What's wrong, Ani?" I asked.
"I... I'm worried... I'm feeling things a Jedi should not feel... and I don't know what to do..."
"What are you feeling?" I asked.
I felt his hand take hold of mine. I felt blush rising to my cheeks but I quickly pushed it back down.
"I feel... love... the kind of love that makes losing someone unbearable... someone like you..." he mumbled.
"Anakin, I won't be leaving you any time soon. You're my best friend." He seemed relieved but pained at my words.
"Ani, I... I feel the same... but we know that it isn't allowed." I tried to reason.
"Who cares! They won't find out if we do get together." His eyes had a slight yellow hue to them.
"And what if they do find out? We'd both be casted out from the order!"
"If we did, we would be allowed to be together normally."
"Anakin... we can't..."
"Let's at least try! It never hurts to try."
"It does hurt to try in situations like this where we could be removed from the order!"
He turned to look at me with his mesmerizing blue eyes. It took everything in me to say no, but his puppy eyes were winning the argument.
"Fine. We can try." I sighed, giving in.
He did a little happy cheer but quickly went silent as we found ourselves surrounded by bug like creatures.

They aimed their guns at us and spoke in a language I didn't understand. Anakin seemed to understand because he stood up with his hands above his head. I mimicked his movements as they led us inside a building of some sort. Our hands were chained together and we were on a chariot next to each other. Anakin turned me to looked at him and he quickly pressed his lips against mine. I was shocked but kissed back. As the light of the arena started covering us, we pulled away.
I put my hand next to Anakins and he held it.
We looked at each other as we were being taken off the chariot next to two pillars.
They put me against it and flew up to chain me to the pillar, they did the same to Anakin.
"What happened to you, Obi-Wan?" I asked.
"You didn't answer me when I contacted you, so I got a flight over to make sure you were alright, and I got caught." He said, voice laced with relief that we were alright, but also upset that we are all in this situation now.
A giant creature began speaking on a balcony, us three had no clue what he was saying.
I quickly used my chain to climb on top of the pillar and get the chains off my hands by bashing them into the pillar. I jumped from my pillar to Anakins and undid his chain, then I did the same for Obi-Wans. Once we were all free, we noticed the creatures. Anakin and Obi-Wan were on the floor while I stayed on the pillar. I didn't see where the creature attacking me went, when I felt a deep slash on my back and screamed out in pain.
The two men with me immediately panicked and tried to figure something out.
I used my chain to strangle the creature and kill it. I felt myself getting lightheaded from blood loss, but I kept fighting.
Anakin told me to jump down, and I looked down, the floor was blurry and I was getting fainter by the second. I jumped off and was caught by Anakin.
"Y/n! Stay with me, don't fall asleep! Stay with me here!" He panicked, ripped half of his robe off and tying it around my waist and back to stop the bleeding.
I felt my eyes involuntarily close and I fell unconscious.
When I woke up, I was in the medical wing of the Jedi temple. I saw Anakin and Obi-Wan next to me. Anakin was awake and sat beside my bed, but zoned out and hadn't noticed I woke up. I noticed his one normal hand replaced with a robotic one, my eyes widened and shifted to the other side of me.
Obi-Wan was asleep, he had large bags under his eyes. Leading me to believe that he hadn't slept for a while. Anakin looked worse though, I couldn't see his eye bags as well due to the angle, but I could tell that they were there. I weakly moved my hand to touch his.
He gasped and noticed that I was awake. He hugged me gently but tightly as well. I chuckled and saw Obi-Wan wake up.
"Thank goodness you're alright, the doctor said once you wake up you just need to rest for the day, and you can go back to your room the day after." Obi-Wan said with a small smile.
I thanked him as he nodded and left the room. Anakin shut and locked the door with the force, also disabling the cameras. He got in the bed with me and wrapped his arms carefully around me.
"Get some rest, dove." He smiled as I closed my eyes and fell asleep against him.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

Moonblood
Five moons rise over Evanir, each in her own cycle, and each moon is also a god, one of five sisters. Many gods create spirit attendants and companions, brought forth fully-formed. Long ago, the moons worked together to create a lineage that are, instead, humans transformed by the mingling of blood. They intended them to be long-lived and to draw their strength directly from the light of the moon who chose each individual. The five sisters had different goals in mind – one wanted it to be a blessing for scholars and artists, to give them more time and fewer physical distractions; another wanted them to have an animal form, different for each, to keep them more in tune with nature so they could serve as guardians of the wilderness. There are drawbacks to their children having human lives and personalities before being chosen: not all share the goals of their divine mothers, and some choose to put their gifts to darker uses. Those carrying the blood of one woman, fleeing the corruption in search of a quiet life, take a different path. -=-=-=-=- Moonblood isn't so much a novel as a series of adventures of varying length. They involve a core group of people, which does grow over time. They take place in a fairly low-magic world, but despite that, our core cast are directly connected to the moons and have various abilities, including limited shapeshifting to a single individual animal form. As with all my work, unless gender, orientation, or other aspects of sexuality are explicitly stated, I suggest not making assumptions. Probably most significant, I think, is a major trans character who appears about 80K words in - no spoilers, just a note for those who care about that one way or the other.
