《Enemies to lovers (Cassandra x Reader) (Pico's School)》The Day of the Concert. (Starlight Mayhem) pt.2

Continuing from previous part.
————————————Y/N POV——————————
Nene was throwing knives to Alucard and I was walking towards the stage with Pico near me, trying to keep low. I think Darnell already got to Cyclops and was battling him. I hope he and Nene don't get injured. None of this was part of the plan. We weren't expecting Cyclops to have a Sniper with him, nor the Goth Punks to be helping him out.
We finally got near the stage and got up. "Pico, what's happening?" Cam asked him. "The goth punks. They're sabotaging the concert. Everyone has to leave now." Pico told Cam and CJ. "The exits are closed because of some guy with purple skin. We lost connections to the internet as well. I can't contact Ruby anymore." CJ said. "Ruby's still not here?" I asked. "No, she's usually late. This time I'm glad she's late. If she wasn't, she'd be in this situation freaking out more than all of us." CJ explained to us.
"Alright. Everyone except Y/N stay here on stage. Try to calm everyone down. We'll fix this." Pico said. Cam and CJ nodded and Pico ran backstage with me following behind. I saw the backstage members all knocked out. I saw Spike and Pierre standing there in the pile of bodies. They must have taken them down.
"Spike, Pierre. Tell us where Cassandra is and you won't get hurt." Pico said, pointing the gun to them. Spike just laughed. "You think we'd tell you? Even if you're pointing a gun to us, we won't tell you." Spike told us. "She's near the power system." Pierre said. "PIERRE!" Spike yelled to him. "WHAT WERE CASSANDRA'S EXACT ORDERS?" Spike asked Pierre. "I forgot." Pierre said. He then smiled at me. He was on my side. Spike kicked Pierre down. "TRAITOR." He yelled. Pico punched Spike pretty hard from behind making him fall unconscious. "Thanks, Pierre." I said. He nodded. Pierre got up and carried Spike, bringing him outside.

"Let's go." Pico said and I followed him to the power system. The power system was in one of the top rooms behind the stage. There was Cassandra, controlling the lights and sabotaging everything with bodies on the ground also knocked out next to her.
"Cassandra. It's over. We've found you and we'll kill you." Pico said, pointing his gun straight to Cassandra's head. Cassandra turned and only laughed. "You can't kill me. Not now." She told Pico. "What do you mean?" He asked. I stood near Pico. I had a bad feeling about this. All of a sudden, and explosion was heard on the stage. "Shit. What did you do." Pico said. "Aren't you gonna go save them? Candy's out calling you." Cassandra said? I knew what was gonna happen next.
Pico had the same nervous, worried look he had like yesterday's. "Her dad hired you to look out for her, didn't he? Go protect her. She's calling out the signal." She said. Pico gave me the gun and said, "Kill Cassandra, Y/N. I have to go save the people outside." He then ran out the room. I looked at the gun and pointed it to Cassandra, shaking.
"Will you shoot me, Y/N?" She said. This time she had a calmer look in her face. I stood quiet. I didn't want to be the one to kill her. All those times she's saved me. Without her, I'd be dead. "Just... Why are you helping Cyclops with his plan?" I asked her before I shot her dead. If I even could. "What do you mean Cyclops? He isn't even part of sabotaging the concert. He was too busy doing something." She said. I couldn't tell if she was lying or not.

"Don't lie to me. I saw him with that sniper on the mountain behind the stage." I said, gripping onto the gun. Was he actually not part of the plan? "What the fuck is he doing with a sniper!?" She said, surprised. "I told that bitch not to use that thing." Cassandra said, grabbing my arm and rushing back outside to the stage.
We got outside and saw the hole the explosion had done. Everyone was still freaking out but more, Nene was holding Darnell who seemed to be knocked out, and Pico was taking care of Hanzou and Alucard protecting the band with Cam and Candy. Candy seemed to have purple skin and a glowing eye just like her parents.
"I don't see Cyclops anywhere." Cassandra said. I pulled her to the side so she could get a look of the mountain. Cyclops wasn't there. "Where'd he go?" I said, looking around. I turned around and saw Cyclops, pointing the gun at my head. "Cyclops!?" Cassandra said. "What the fuck are you doing?" She yelled at Cyclops.
"I'm getting rid of Y/N. They're the reason you're acting all soft around everyone now. You used to fight people and they'd fear you. What happened to that!?" Cyclops told Cassandra, finally revealing the plan.
"Cyclops, you're not supposed to do something unless I tell you to. You never followed that damn rule." She said, taking a knife out. Cassandra held the knife up to Cyclops's throat. "Put the gun away, and you'll live." She told him. Hanzou and Alucard stopped attacking Pico and went over to Cyclops.
"Fuck you, Cassandra." Cyclops said, putting his gun away. Cassandra had helped me out once again. And this time I knew why. She still had feelings for me somehow.
We had to cancel the concert and reschedule it for another time while they fix the damages. Everyone had to go back home and I decided to walk home with Nene, Darnell and Pico. Darnell finally woke up and was now better. It looked like Cyclops had hit his head pretty hard. He was alright though. Nene had a few bruises from Alucard throwing his items at her. Pico only had a few cuts and burns on him from Hanzou's weapon. Everyone who attended the concert came out safe and alive, though. That was the main goal achieved.
I said my goodbyes to my friends and walked home.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!
