《Enemies to lovers (Cassandra x Reader) (Pico's School)》The Explanation

Recap of Previous part: Y/N arrived to school, walking in, not seeing Cassandra. They got worried when Pico said she would probably be outside in a fight. Y/N got outside and saw Cassandra with yellow Penilian eyes attacking Cyclops. Alucard promised to tell Y/N what happened and pushed them back inside the school. Cassandra met up with Y/N in the hallways when on their way to 4th class making Y/N seeing her as the bully she used to have last year. They ran off realizing they were scared of her.
———————————3rd POV———————————
A few classes passed, and Y/N hoped to meet Alucard after school. Y/N waved goodbye to their friends who were already leaving. They walked over to where Alucard said they would meet, and he was right. Alucard was sitting on a bench making an apple float then eating it.
"Hello, Y/N." Alucard waved. Y/N waved back and sat down on the bench next to them. "So will you tell me why Cassandra had Penilian eyes?" Y/N said crossing their arms. "Oh? You know about Penilians?" Alucard said giving a surprised look. "Yeah. I've read about them in Cassandra's book. Did Hanzou and Cassandra not tell you I had it before?" Y/N asked him.
"Not really. I'm glad you know about it, though. It makes my explanation easier and shorter." Alucard explained throwing the apple's stick into a trash can.
"I'm sure you already know that Cassandra couldn't control herself back there. Otherwise she wouldn't be attacking one of her allies." He started explaining with Y/N responding with a nod.
"This had happened before, but only when Hanzou was around. It made Hanzou get curious and run tests on her. This made me and Cyclops mad, but it was the only way to know more." Alucard continued thinking.

"That's really much it. We were able to bring her to a place and calm her down. When she calmed down, she immediately ran to the school for no reason. Cyclops went to chase after her, so." Alucard finished. The mention of Cassandra made Y/N shiver. Especially that they knew she had this monster or Penilian side in her.
"Hey, you seem a little worried. Are you scared from what happened back there in that fight?" Alucard said noticing Y/N's shivers. "Look, let's not talk about that. I just have a question." I said.
"Why does Cassandra all of a sudden care about me?" I asked Alucard. "What do you mean?" He said confused. "She saved me and Nene over near the arcade when she could've just let me die, same with when I was beaten up by two guys. She still saved me when she saw me in trouble." Y/N explained. "That sounds nothing like her." Alucard said now trying to image it, but couldn't.
"If I was put in that situation, she'd let me die or save me and call me weak." He said nervously. "Well. At the start of school, she was mean to me and even punched me once. Now she's only trying to look nice." Y/N said.
"Holy shit." Alucard randomly said. "What?" Y/N asked "What if she's manipulating you?" Alucard told me worryingly. Y/N thought about it, and there was really no reason she would be doing that. "I'm not sure. There's no reason for her to be manipulative around me." Y/N said.
"Yeah, you've got a point. Either it's that or she's got a crush on you." Alucard said with a smile. Y/N coughed a little from that. "Cassandra wouldn't have a crush, I'm sure." Y/N quickly said getting a little panicked.

"Come on, there are a few chances." Alucard joked and laughed. "Anyways— I got what I came here for." Y/N said standing up. "I'll see you tomorrow, Alucard!" Y/N said now walking away. "Yeah see you!" Alucard yelled back still laughing.
————————————Y/N POV——————————
Was he being serious? Cassandra wouldn't feel that way, would she? I stopped and remembered her jokingly flirting one time with me. No, but it was only joking. I started walking more.
It doesn't matter. I can't let her know I was scared of her. Even if she does or doesn't have a crush on me. And even if she was actually manipulating me. I had to think of something.
I walked home putting the keys on the counter. I just laid on the couch tired as hell. I had to tell Pico to help me out or at least anyone.
I got my phone out and texted Pico.
———Texting———
"Hey, you got a second?" - Y/N (5:18 PM)
"Sure. What's up?" - Pico (5:20 PM)
"I want you to come over so we could talk about things- It's really important." - Y/N (5:21 PM)
"Alr. I'll be omw there" - Pico (5:21 PM)
——————
I just had to wait until Pico got here. I stood up to do something until I saw Cassandra sitting down on a table looking at me. "HOW THE FUCK DID-" I said not even knowing what to say. "You left the yard door open. Don't worry, I made sure it was closed." She said smiling.
I shivered again from that. "Oh uhm." I said trying not to shake or run away. "Yeah I know what you're gonna ask. I got here when you were messaging someone. I couldn't see who it was." She said with an eye roll.
"It was only Pico. I told him to come over for a bit. But get off the table." I said. She got off and walked over to the front door to check something. "What are you doing?" I asked her. "I'm checking if anyone's outside what else." She said.
"Why would you check if anyone's outside?" I said just trying not to walk and check as well. She walked to the couch and sat down then shrugged.
"Tell me." I demanded. Wow I was actually being brave now. Or at least trying to. "Fine. I came here to tell you not to tell anyone about what you saw outside. Not a single detail." She told me. I decided to sit down too, but just a bit farther away from her.
"I wasn't gonna tell anyone, but why shouldn't I?" I said. "Nobody has to know about Penilians. If you told anyone, they won't keep it a secret and tell everyone. Next thing you know, they start some agency to terminate each one of them. That includes me." She said crossing her arms.
"Not even people who I trust?" I asked. "Nope. Not even people you trust." She told me. Then the doorbell rang.
"Darn the shit guy's here." Cassandra said standing up. "I'll go now. I don't want to deal with Pico's dumb ass." She told me, walking towards the yard door. "See ya." She said.
I sighed realizing my heart wouldn't stop beating fast when she was there. She made me feel scared, but I had Pico to talk about it. I just won't mention what happened with Cassandra and the Penilian eye problem.
