Recap of Previous part, Y/N, Darnell, Nene, Cam, and Candy were trying to find Pico after what happened in the cafeteria. It was class time, and it turned out Pico had gone home stating he was "sick". After class, Y/N, Darnell, and Nene decide to go look for Pico at his house while Candy and Cam go visit the City.
————————————Y/N POV——————————
I walked over to Pico's house with Nene and Darnell making sure Cassandra didn't somehow escape and was now following us. It looked like she wasn't, so we were good.
Nene knocked on the door and said, "Pico, are you home? It's me Nene." But no response. "Are you sure he'll be here?" Darnell asked until Pico opened the door, clearing some tears off his eyes. "What is it." He said with his voice a bit low.
"We wanted to check if you were ok." Nene said calmly to him. I nodded at Pico trying to smile, but there wasn't anything to smile about in this situation. He just stood in the door way. "You can come in before anyone sees us." Pico said referring to Cassandra's gang as they called 'Goth Punks'.
Pico just sat down on the couch not showing any emotion. Darnell, Nene, and I then also sat down.
"Do you think you can tell us more about Cam, Pico?" Darnell asked. "Fine. He used to be my ex-boyfriend, but we thought it was better to be friends. Then, he got into some hobby to beatbox people for some girl. I was ok with it until he forgot me more." Pico said, looking to the corner.

"That must've been tough, but you can still forgive him." I told Pico with a smile now. "I can't just forgive him for what he's done. He's such a dumb jerk. Him coming to the same school now just makes me remember." Pico said crossing his arms.
"Maybe if you talk to him more, the sadness you feel will go away." Nene said. Pico thought about it and said, "Fine, I'll just try it."
"Okay! Y/N, call Cam so we can arrange a meet-up!" Nene told me getting excited. I dialed Cam's number on my phone and waited for him to respond. "Hello?" Cam then responded.
———Time Skip———
We got Pico and Cam to meet up at some cafe. We decided it was best to leave them there alone so they could talk about things they kept to each other or just so we also didn't bother them. Pico would just call us whenever he felt like leaving. Meanwhile, we brought Candy to the arcade with us.
"Woah! This place is nice!" Candy said looking around the arcade. "Yup. Finally reconstructed and opened from a past shooting that happened here." Darnell said. He knew much about where shootings happened and what were the damages.
"I should start getting tokens to play. You guys stay here." I told them and they nodded. I walked over to the counter and bought some tokens. When I went to the counter I saw two weird-looking guys who were bullying some child. I quickly took the tokens I bought and walked up to them.
"What the hell are you guys doing to him?" I told them making them look at me. "Wow, who are you? His parent?" The one of them said. One of them was wearing sunglasses and the other had a punk-looking style. I swore I saw them before.

"No, it's just rude. Leave him alone." I said holding the urge to swear at them and fight them. "Listen, this isn't your business. You should go now before we beat you up and give you nightmares." The guy with the glasses said.
The guy was grabbing the child by the arm pretty hardly. There were tears in his eyes, but he wouldn't scream for help. He was just quietly sobbing. "You're making the poor kid cry. Let him go." I said giving them another warning. A few people were watching our fight, but it didn't matter. I was the one doing something good.
"You're just trying to act tough. If you want to fight, then let's do it. Two versus one." The punk guy said. "Spike, this isn't a good idea." The guy with the glasses said. 'Spike'? I'm sure he went to my school.
"Hey! What are you guys doing here!?" Nene said walking up to both of the guys I was arguing with. Darnell and Candy walked in as well confused. They must have been attracted by the crowd.
"Look who it is. Pink girl. Did the last suicide attempt not work for you?" The punk said also known as 'spike' from what I remember. "Shut up before I cut your throat open." She said taking out a knife from her anger. "Bring it on, bitch." Spike said as he and the other guy took out a gun. This scared the people more that a staff member came in.
"Hey what are you kids doing!?" The staff said. "Oh shit." Darnell said with Candy hiding behind me. "He was bullying some kid and wanted to battle us, so we should do it here and now." Nene said. That insult must have angered her too much. "No, absolutely not! Do it somewhere else, or we'll have to force you all out." The staff member warned us.
"Darnell, Candy, and Y/N stay here. I'll go deal with them." Nene said. They were seriously about to do this outside. "Nene, I could help you." I asked her. I hardly knew combat skills, but it could also help me teach myself how to defend my self. Nene could get hardly injured if she was the only one battling them. I knew Darnell wouldn't want to deal with those guys right now, so I don't see why not.
"Fine. Let's go." Nene said now walking outside with the two guys as I also followed along. I didn't know how this would go, but it's best if I give it a shot.

World with Mana
Eric King's day starts with a headache and ends with him getting attacked by zombies. Not a great day at all. All this occurs because suddenly mana enters the world and forces itself on and into everything completely changing the world. People now have classes and can use magic, they see their own status, and a variety of creatures enter your world with a variety of different motives. To top it off a group might want his death for nothing other than his class. Note: I am not a great writer so expect to read subpaar writing, with an unoriginal story that I might not write for long. I am simply writing this to see if I enjoy writing stories like this and to test it as a hobby. The cover art is not mine, I found it online, if the owner does not want me to use this picture then I will take the picture down.

With the end of the only war to ever reach mainland Australia I found myself living out of a small room in an old military compound that had been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The end of the war, unfortunately, didn't mean the end of hostilities. The terrorism trend that had started back in the early 2000's with the attack on the world trade center over in America, had spread to just about every country on the face of the planet. Over time the constant threat from various groups meant the civilian police force was quickly undermanned, under equipped, and overwhelmed. They were simply unable to respond to the daily threats in any reasonable time frame, and in many situations lacked the both the skills and equipment required to deal with the threats to put them down in a 'safe' and expedient manner. Veterans of the war that were being reintegrated into society however, were just about everywhere, all the time. We have the training and the skills required to deal with just about any threat you care to mention, all we needed was access to the equipment to do so. In a world first, under the new Veterans program, the Australian government had taken the rather controversial step of allowing specifically selected veterans to go armed in public. Sure, with Australian weapons laws being very, very strict there were a number of hurdles to get over first, but that's where the selection part comes in. Tangentially that's actually how I met Brianna, my current partner. We work as ringers in Victory City, I thought being thrown into imptomtu combat operations and risking my life on a daily basis for barely livable wages was excitement enough. Then I met her... it... I don't know. An AI unlike anything else out there has wedged itself into my life and decided it needs to... look after me. What could possibly go wrong? **** This is the first book I have released, and my first entry into a cyberpunk universe. There is minimal drug use, a fair amount of sex, a bit of gory violence, and a sultry AI that has decided the main character needs a harem.
