《Enemies to lovers (Cassandra x Reader) (Pico's School)》My decision.

Recap of Previous part, Y/N met up with Pico, Darnell, and Nene. They discussed about something that included Cassandra making Pico remember something. There was a weird feeling of being watched that Nene and Pico noticed. They dragged Y/N and Darnell to Pico's house where they were safe. Pico knew about Y/N's secret with the book, so asked now what they read in it and why it was there. (Kinda long recap, huh?)
———————————Y/N POV———————————
"Pico, what the fuck is happening?" Nene asked confused. "I found Cassandra's book at their house, she knows more about her than us." Pico said trying to look calm about it. I just stood silent, trying to think of a thing to say.
"Why didn't you tell us you had the book, Y/N?" Darnell asked. "Actually, it's a good thing they didn't. Cyclops was watching us closely as we spoke over at the park." I don't get what the big deal was with the book. Cassandra seemed to not care much when I had it.
"Why are you so curious about that book anyways?" I asked them. "Well, Cassandra has things in that book with every plan and secret she's kept, every member of her group, so much." Nene said remembering something.
"She's been writing rituals in there. If you read the last page, it shows something that transoms her into a Penilian, I believe?" Pico explained. "She's transformed into it once, but to threaten us. She uses that book to do so."
Well shit. Hanzou had the book now and I've only read 4 pages of the book. I fucked it up. No wonder Cassandra looked so calm when I gave it back to her.
"Well uh. I only read 4 pages. Hanzou has the book, he stole it." I admitted. They all seemed not surprised. I didn't know if that was a win or a loose to me.

"I actually have to go back now. Bye!" I said remembering I had to go ask Cassandra the questions I needed. I also wanted to leave because I didn't want to get asked what those 4 pages said.
I rushed outside of Pico's house and tried to remember where Cassandra's house was. It was pretty dark outside already.
I finally came into Cassandra's house and knocked on the door. She opened the door with a gun on her hand. "Oh you're back. Why so late in the night?" She said smiling.
"Don't think of it that way, Cassandra." I said looking at her concerned. "Anyways, I need to have a chat with you inside." I continued walking inside and closing the door. "Whatever," She responded.
She sat down on the couch just really tired. She must have been doing something while I was gone. "I want to ask you something, what's a Penilian?" I asked.
"I knew you'd ask that." She said, trying to find the remote to the tv. "So? Are you gonna tell me?" I continued waiting for a response. "Nah, you don't need to know. It said it all in the book, dumb ass." Cassandra told me finally finding the remote to the tv.
"You better not say the same thing to every question I ask you." I told her being bothered by it. "Yeah I know, but it really depends on what the question is."
"Also, tell me why the fuck Cyclops was watching us at the meet-up?" I said thinking she was also part of this plan. "Look, Cyclops never listens to me. He goes by a plan, I disagree, and he still does it anyways. I'm sure I have nothing to do with his crap." Cassandra said being bothered.

"Did you two get in a fight?" I asked. "Obviously." She said a bit quiet.
"Alright then. Also, Pico knows I had your book."
"Well shit. Did you tell them what it said?" Cassandra asked me. "No, I told them I just had to leave and ran. I'll have to apologize tomorrow once we get to school." I said nervously. I decided to also sit down, but kept a distance between Cassandra. Probably because I thought she'd say some weird stuff about it.
"Good thing you didn't. I trust you with that knowledge. If they ask what it said, tell them it was written it German." She told me smiling all confident. "Whatever then. I'll tell them that." Rolling my eyes at it. She was basically telling me to lie to my friends.
"Anyways, when are you leaving?" She said switching the channels on the tv. "Oh right, I'm staying over." I told her.
"Bitch what?" She said with a shocked look on her face. "Dude, I really convinced you to stay over, didn't I?" She joked while laughing at it.
"Just a little bit, I just don't feel safe with Cyclops being the stalker he is. He knows where I live now." I said worryingly. I also just held the urge to ask her if that book actually made her into a Penilian and why she had killed those subjects.
"Alright I'll let you stay over, but you're cuddling with me tonight." She said then again joking. "Hell no." I said but actually also laughing a bit at it.
"I'll go to sleep now, but this time I'm keeping my alarm on my phone." I told her remembering that she didn't wake me up last time I told her to. "Okay then," She said smiling as I walked into the room.
I laid on the bed and looked at the time. It was kind of late. I was hoping tomorrow wouldn't be bad. I set up an alarm on my phone as said and fell asleep.

8 193The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
