Continued from previous part.
———————————Pico POV———————————
Y/N had been acting strange ever since they got to the meet-up. I was sure it was because of that book they stole from Cassandra. I knew about it.
When I was bandaging Nene on the couch, I saw the book's corner stick out. Y/N was busy talking to Darnell that I quickly moved the book over more to myself revealing the cover of the book. It looked familiar. I hid it back under when Nene asked what I was looking at.
I continued to think where I had seen that book before until during the meet-up, I remembered. I'm not sure if Y/N had purposely stolen it or that Cassandra lost it there by accident. She was helping out Y/N with the decorations, so there was two ways that book could have ended up there.
I just know for sure Y/N read it. The way they've been acting shows it all.
I couldn't say a single thing about the book because I knew Cyclops was watching us from behind one of the trees. I turned around and saw him in the corner of my eye. I didn't want to make eye contact, so I turned back around facing Nene. I'm sure she noticed Cyclops as well.
————————————Y/N POV——————————
I saw Pico thinking about something and asked him, "What are you thinking about?" Causing him to flinch.
"Nothing." He said. Nene looked a bit concerned as well. Was there something going on? Darnell was the only one that also looked confused.
"Well uh, alright. Do you guys know what to do when it's Halloween?" I asked trying to end the awkward silence. I knew Halloween was a few months away, but I still wanted to make a plan. Same with Christmas.
The thought of Halloween made Nene and Pico excited, changing their expressions now.

"Hmm.. I was thinking about going out trick or treating with you guys." Darnell said imagining it.
"Nah, we should definitely scare the little kids." Pico joked, laughing at what he said. "Come on, Pico. Don't be that way! They're only kids." Nene said giving a glare at Pico. He just smiled nervously also giving a nod.
"I'm honestly agreeing more with Darnell's idea." I admitted. Darnell then said, "Wont Cassandra ruin the pl-" Until Pico interrupted and said, "We should go now." With Nene agreeing.
"Hey I wasn't finished!" Darnell said as Pico and Nene dragged me and Darnell away from the park.
They seemed to be walking quickly for some reason. My legs just got tired. "Could you guys slow down?" I told them.
After a few minutes of speed walking, they finally stopped.
"I think we lost him." Nene said. "Well there could have been more, Nene." Pico told her looking around to make sure nobody was there.
"What the hell are you guys talking about?" Darnell questioned. "We were being stalked by Cyclops. Nene and I saw him hiding behind a tree." Pico said pushing us unto a house. It turned out we arrived at his house since he had the keys.
"Look, they don't know where I live so this is a good place." Pico continued. "Y/N, explain why you had Cassandra's book at your house and what happened last night after the party." He finally said making me surprised.
How did he know I had the book...
(Sorry for short chapter. I'll be making the next part quickly as I can! It will be published either today or tomorrow, trust me.)

blacklight
So here’s the deal: my name is Kihri Vyas, and I’m dead. (That’s not really important, it happened ages ago, but it’s good to have the context.) Anyway, me and my sister Zarah (the only person who can see or hear me) have basically been on our own since I kicked the bucket, surviving on the streets of Kaila and sort of just being miserable and bored and tired a lot. I mean, I haven’t, cause I’m dead, but she has. It sucks, but that’s business as usual for us. What isn’t B-A-U is that a bunch of other homeless folks have been disappearing in the last few months, and some of them have been turning up with anatomically-improbable, but extraordinary fatal, injuries. Cops don’t give a shit, of course, and my sister’s a boneheaded bleeding heart, so we’ve been investigating them ourselves. And, well, we’ve found a bunch of weird shit. Stuff made of solid light, ghost attack dogs, people glowing black, somehow, some kind of living robot… Actually, you know what? It’s probably easier if you see for yourself. blacklight is a modern fantasy story it's not about being gay but rest assured its gay as fuck nevertheless it updates fridays at 2 p.m. AEST on its own site at https://spectrochroma.wordpress.com/ Chapters are uploaded here one week after they finish on the main site.
