Jean makes the Space Stone float in the air. "Laura, grab the stone," you demand. "Yes master," she replies, as she grabs it. She teleports to the other side of the house, and back. "I feel nothing. You can use it safely master," Laura says. You grab the Space Stone from Laura. "Jean, you're coming with me," you demand, "Natasha, Carol, Laura, make sure you keep the Power Stone safe while we're gone." "Yes master," they all reply.
You clench the Space Stone, and teleport you and Jean to the Vanko Tech building; it's in ruins. You see vehicles around it, helping tear it down. "What happened?" Jean asked. You answer, "A couple days ago, before she was enslaved, Carol attacked this building while I was in it. I nearly died; one of many times." "Wow.." Jean replies.
You say to the Space Stone, "Take me to Vanko Tech." You and Jean teleport to a large factory.
"Robots," you say, "He is building an army." You notice people fair away notice you. You teleport with the Space Stone, hoping to find Ivan, and indeed you did. He was looking out of a window in his office, over seeing his factory. "Trap him," you whisper to Jean. As Ivan Vanko grabs a gun and turns around, Jean launches metal beams at him, and bends them to wrap around him. "Witches," Ivan says. You ask, "What are you doing in this factory Ivan?" He replies, "You know me? I don't know you." You continue, "I know you stole a weapon that brainwashes people. What are you doing with it?" Ivan chuckles, and replies, "Why you care?" You hesitate, then reply, "Because I know you're evil." Ivan laughs. "Now," you say, as you hold a knife from the desk to his neck, "What are your intentions?"

Robots charge in, grab you and Jean, and knock you both unconscious. You wake up, and find yourself in a cell. You see Ivan at the other side of the door, chuckling. "We'll use you witches later," he comments as he walks away. You see Jean beside you, tell her, "You can read minds... Once we get out, I need you to read his, and figure out his plan. He obviously won't tell us." "Ok master. Should I let us out now?" she replies. You reply, "No, let's wait a little while, so they think we're stuck here. When we leave, we better do it quietly." "Got it."
Meanwhile...
Amos walks into the house, and sees Laura. "Where's your master, (your name)?" Amos asks. Laura answers, "I don't know you, and I think you should leave," as she pulls out her claws. "It's ok Laura," Natasha says, walking over, "He's an alley." Amos demands, "Tell me where he is." Natasha answers, "On a mission with Jean." Amos grunts, then replies, "Fine. When he gets back, tell him that I have a lead on the next Infinity Stone." Amos storms out, frustrated. "If I could, I would complete this plan myself," he mutters, while making his way back to his ship.
Meanwhile...
It's been 30 minutes since you were thrown into prison. You demand, "Jean, slowly and quietly open the door." "Yes master." The door opens, and you run out of there. "Wait, we gotta find the Space Stone!" you whisper. Jean reads a distant security guard's mind, and comments, "If we can find some sort of leader or commander, I can search their mind for the Stone's location." You quietly crawl into a vent, and whisper, "Well, we better start searching."

As you two crawl through the vents and read peoples' minds, you learn a lot about Ivan, Vanko Tech, etc. However, you struggle to find anything about an Infinity Stone. Eventually, you see an old russian woman talking to a crew of mechanics. Jean reads her mind, and whispers to you, "That's Svetlana Vanko, Ivan Vanko's mother. She is Vice Owner of Vanko Tech. She knows where the Stone is; the experimentation lab in the C-wing." "Well let's try to find it then," you reply, and continue to crawl through the vents.
After 20 minutes, you look out the vents, and see the Space Stone in a glass container. "There it is," you whisper. Just then, a robotic arm grabs it, and moves out of sight. "Get it!" you shout. You and Jean jump out of the vent and start chasing the stone, pushing aside anyone in your way. However, as you turn the corner, you see the arm put the stone inside a giant robot, way bigger than the robots you saw when Carol attacked Vanko Tech. You see it power up, as Ivan himself gets in. "You lose," he says, as you takes control of the robot. "Run!!" you yell. Jean pushes the robot against the wall and follows you running.
Meanwhile...
Amos bursts in through the front door and asks, "Is he back?" Natasha answers, "No." "What are they doing anyway?" Amos asks. Natasha explains, "Ivan Vanko's soldiers have stolen his weapons and gadgets, so Master and Jean went to go retrieve them." Amos checks the secret compartment, and sees that the Space Stone is missing. "Did they seriously take the Space Stone!?" he yells. He gets in Natasha's face and says, "If he loses the Stone and it ends up in an enemy's hands, we fail this entire operation. Let alone the fact that we have an enemy we may or may not be able to defeat." "Understood Amos," Natasha replies. Amos walks out in a rage. "I don't trust him," Natasha comments. "Me neither," Carol and Laura reply. "I'll try to get in contact with Master," Natasha says while heading into your office.
Meanwhile...
You and Jean are hiding in a narrow hallway, trying to avoid Ivan. "I will find you," Ivan says, they robot's voice echoing throughout the factory. You ask, whispering, "Do you think you can get the Stone?" Jean answers, "Probably not. I don't have much knowledge of my powers." You reply, "Not worth the risk. Let's just try to find a way out." As you exit the hallway, you find yourself in a room full of soldiers. "Get down on the ground!" "Don't you fucking move!" "Freeze!" "Want a bullet in your head?" The soldiers shout. "Jean..." you say. "Yes master," she replies, as she uses her powers to push the soldiers back and on the ground, knocking a few unconscious. You both continue run.

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
