"Wake up...!" "We're losing him..." "S.H.E.I.L.D. intel..." "Doctor...!?" You faintly hear many words, while laying in darkness, a deep sleep. You feel the water in your lungs, mouth, and nose. You feel like you're drowning in a sea of death.
You wake up to a shockingly bright light, and hear a heart monitor beep like crazy. "He's awake!!" Doctors rush over, performing many tasks: Treating wounds, analyzing monitors, messing with equipment, and assisting one another.
A man walks over, and says, "It's great to see you again old friend." "Hello.. General Befehl." Befehl says with a smile, "Welcome back to Hydra."
You lay on the table, with your right arm covered in bruises and cuts, and a tube going up your nose. "How long was I out?" you ask. Befehl answers, siting by your feet, "About fifteen minutes. We couldn't save the jet, but we got this." He holds up the laptop. You say, "Just leave it on the counter." Which Befehl does. "Listen (your name)..." Befehl begins to explain, "I would offer you a position back here in your old facility, but honestly we can't have you here. Not old did you abandon us 5 years ago, when we were at our weakest, but it's my understanding that you have been competing for weapon-dealing clients with Hydra. Let alone the fact that the weapons you're offering them are weapons we used to own. In short, you have no place in Hydra anymore." "Then why save me?" You ask. Befehl answers, "Let's just say we're even now." You ask, "What do you mean?" You notice a subtle smile on Befehl's face.
"BEEEEP...! BEEEEP...!" alarms echo through the facility. A Hydra agent yells, "Missiles incoming!! It's a S.H.E.I.L.D. helicarrier!" A loud bang overwhelms your senses, followed by the sound of rubble, flames, and explosions. You leap off the table, and run with Befehl. Another missile hits right above both of you, the falling rumble separately you both. You run through the hallways, knocking into many Hydra agents.

Eventually you find yourself in a large storage area where S.H.E.I.L.D. soldiers are breaking in through the windows. You pull out your suppressed pistol, and eliminate as many as you can while running away. It appears that soldiers are invading everywhere. You run into a massive garage that has been turned into a battlefield; Hydra soldiers hold the line using tanks, containers, and vehicles as cover while S.H.E.I.L.D. soldiers slowly advance closer. You grab a rifle and help hold the line.
Eventually, most of the soldiers among you die, and S.H.E.I.L.D. soldiers are getting to close. You along with another few soldiers flee. You realize you can't win this battle, you must escape. You grab the laptop and make your way to the basement, killing soldiers on the way with the rifle and hide wrist blade. From what you remember, there's a secret garage meant for escaping invasions like this. Once you arrive, you punch in the password, and make your way to the submarines. You climb your way into the hatch, and get away from the invasion. You notice someone is trying to communicate on the comms. It sounds like Befehl, but it's also struggling to maintain the signal, "All Hydra pers- ...Get t- -ecret hide out! It's over-" The comm disconnects from the signal. "Secret hide out..." You mutter.
You think back to what Befehl said, "You have no place in Hydra anymore." "Fuck it," you say. You change course, and decide to make your way home.

Reborn as a Dungeon Boss
If anyone were to take my actions, my feats, my influence on the world, and write them down as a story, there would be one point that needs to be raised before all else. This is not a song of redemption. This is not a tale of hope. This is not a parable of goodness. No. Mine is a warning of destruction. Slaughter. Death. For death brought me into this world...and death I shall bring to it. This will be my second attempt at writing a novel. For the fans of my first work, I'm sorry for disappearing for so long...life happened. I will continue that one at some point, but for now I want to try to get back into the groove of writing. Thank you for giving me a chance.
