You stared at the food infront of you. You took a bit but every day your hunger disappeared more and more. You sighed.

You hated being sick. You knew your life was almost over. Every day was a gift. You were happy to spend you last days at Hogwarts. You felt at home here. You did everything you love here.

'At least drink something.'

You looked besides you. Severus Snape, potion teacher and your crush. He helped you through everything. You were very happy with him. He was a great friend but you wished you were more. You grabbed you cup and took a small sip. You put it down and smiled at him.

'Good.' Snape said. 'Want to do something fun today? No teaching.'

'I don't know.' You said. 'Didn't have any plans yet.'

'Yet.' Snape said. 'Lets take a walk. You can need some fresh air.'

'You know I can't walk too long.'

'It doesn't have to be a long walk.'

How could you say no Snape? Snape looked at you, waiting for an answer.

'Fine.' You said.

Snape actually smiled a little before returning to his food. You looked into the great hall. The amount of students that walked in smiling, talking to their friends. You were so happy that you could teach them for the most amazing years of their lives. Your smile vanished when you realised that this was the last year you'd be able to do it.

'Are you okay?' Snape asked you.

You looked at him and nodded.

'Are you sure?'

'Yeah.. it's just.. getting close.' You said while looking back at the great hall.

Snape placed his hand in your shoulder. You looked at it and blushed a little.

'I wish I could make it better for you.m unfortunately no potion or magic can help you. I would have helped you if it was possible.'

'I know, Severus.' You said.

After breakfast you and Snape decided to take a walk past the lake. You took a deep breath. The sun was shining and it was nice and warm.

Snape watched you enjoy. He knew he should confess seeing that you had so little time left.. but he couldn't. He didn't want to ruin what you two had for the last few moments in your life.

'The weather is nice.' You smiled.

'It is. Told you it's a great idea.'

'You just want me to tell you that you're right.' You grinned.

'Maybe.' Snape grinned.

You two continued walking. It was great.

'Got any wishes?' Snape asked.

You looked at him.

'Like what?' You asked him.

'I don't know.. is there anything you'd like to do before...'

Snape didn't finish his sentence. He clearly didn't know if you wanted to talk about it or not.

'I die.' You finished his sentence.

'Yeah..'

You did have a wish. That Snape would like you too. But you weren't going to tell him.

'Not really. I did everything I want to do.'

You looked ahead again. You felt a pain slowly rising in your chest. It soon went over into a very bad cough. You stopped walking and bend a bit forwards while coughing.

Snape wrapped and arm around you and pulled you down so you could sit. Everything around you started turning. You tried to take some deep breaths.

'We need to get you to the hospital wing.'

Snape got up and offered you his hands. You grabbed them but you couldn't stand up straight. You fell down and everything only seemed the get worse.

Snape started yelling for help..

Madam Pomfrey tried everything to help you. She managed to make coughing better but she was afraid that it was your time to go.

Snape walked in and sat down next to your bed. He had no idea what he had to say. He grabbed your hand and you turned your head to him.

'You'll be okay..' Snape said.

'No.. Severus... it's my time to go.'

'It's not. It can't be.'

You saw the pain in his eyes. You were clearly feeling better about this then he was.

'It's okay..'

'No it's not. This world.. it's too cruel! Why you?'

'I don't know..' You said.

You laid your head back and closed your eyes. If was almost impossible to keep them open.

'Y/N.. please stay with me.' Snape begged while stoking your hair. 'I still want to say so much to you..'

'Then tell..' You brought out.

You opened your eyes a little, willing to try for him.

'Tell me before I go so you won't regret it.'

Snape hesitated. You let your eyes rest again.

'I don't want you to go. Y/N Please.. I love you.'

You immediately opened your eyes.

'You what?'

'I love you. I should have told you before that I'm in love with you but I didn't want to ruin what we had for the past few days of your life.'

At that moment you felt so many emotions at the same time. Happiness, fear, sadness.. You leaned up a little.

'No, you have to-'

'Kiss me.' You said.

Snape looked at you in confusion.

'The only thing I didn't do yet.. is kissing you.'

Snape got up and bend over you. He pressed his lips against yours. Your entire body gave in and you couldn't sit up anymore. Your eyes closed and your grip on his hand loosened. Snape pulled back and look at you.

'I love you..' You managed to bring out before you went into a never ending sleep..
