You walked towards the great hall and hoped that your friends were already there. You hurried in and saw you favorite red haired boys at the Gryffindor table.
'Hi Fred! Hi George!' You smiled and you sat down next go George.
'Hi Y/N.' George smiled.
'How are you?' Fred asked.
'I'm fine, you?' You asked with a smile.
'I'm fine.' He answered.
'Me too.'
You grabbed some breakfast and started eating.
'No Hermione, I swear that there were huge spiders every where!'
'It's was just a dream Ron.' Harry grinned.
'Don't be such a wuss Ron!' George yelled at him.
You look at Ron who was in second year now.
'Dreams aren't always real.' You joked back.
George laughed and gave you a high five. Fred stared at the two of you laughing.
'Y/N... do you want to go to the lake today? It's Saturday.' Fred smiled at you.
You looked at him.
'Sure she'll come with us.' George smiled.
Fred nodded and sighed. He looked back at his food. Fred has liked you for a little while but all you had was confused feelings between Fred and George because they were so much alike. You guessed you should just wait and see how things would turn out.
'Come on Fred! Cheer up, it's Saturday!' George smiled.
You got up with George and Fred sighed. You offered his a hand to help him up. He smiled and grabbed it. You helped him up and let his hand go.
'What's up?' You asked him.
'Nothing is up with him! He needs some time of school! We need to prank someone.'
'George, please, not today.'
George stopped and looked at him.
'Not today?! You're always ready to prank someone.'
'I just... I don't want to do that now George.'
Fred was just hoping to spend a day with you but it failed. He like having George as a twin and he really couldn't live without him, but sometimes he also wanted to spent some time with someone else.
You sat down at the lake in between Fred and George. You enjoyed that nice sun and sat back against tree.
'I love Saturdays.' You smiled. 'It was a good idea to go outside today Fred.'
Fred just passed you a smile.
'Do you want something to drink?' George asked you.

'Sure.' You smiled.
'You Fred?' George asked.
He just nodded. George got up and walked away.
'Fred... are you alright? You seem sad. You're never sad.'
'I'm not sad Y/N. Jeez.'
'I'm sorry... I'm only trying to help. You're my best friend. I'm here to help you. You don't even want to prank someone. Then I know something is wrong.'
'Y/N, stop worrying about me. I'm fine. I just don't want to pull a prank on someone today. What's so difficult to understand about that?' He asked.
You sighed and rolled your eyes. A silence fell where Fred tried his best to keep his eyes of you. George came back and have you and Fred some pumpkin juice.
'Thanks.' You smiled and he sat down.
You and George started chatting again and Fred didn't know what to do. He just got up and walked away, seeing that the two of you didn't even notice. He walked towards the Gryffindor tower and sat down in the common room.
'Fred? It's weird to see you without George.' Hermione grinned.
He looked up and saw Harry, Ron and Hermione.
'Hi guys. He's at the lake with Y/N.' He sighed.
'I thought you liked her? Does George have a thing for her as well now?' Ron asked.
Fred shrugged.
'They are kind of ignoring me, didn't even see me leave...'
'Someone's jealous.' Hermione smirked while crossing her arms.
'Yes! Okay Hermione! I'm bloody jealous! The girl I like has more interest in my twin brother then in me! Okay?! Happy?!'
'Calm down Fred. I'm sure they're just really good friends.' Harry tried to comfort him.
'Well... she used to be close to me. But since a few weeks she likes George better. It's unfair.' He whined while crossing his arms.
Ron sat down besides him.
'I'm sure she still thinks you're great. Maybe she just wants to spent a bit of time with George after spending lots of time with you the passed couple of weeks. Besides, it's just a girl Fred.'
'Just a girl?! It's Y/N we're talking about!' He sighed.
Harry wanted to say something.
'Fred, there you are! Next time tell me when you want to leave!' You spoke while entering.
George followed you and walked in as well.
'We need to talk Fred! What the hell is wrong with you today?!' George asked.

'Nothing. It's just not my day today, why do you always think something is up if I'm not happy for one freaking day?!' Fred got up and walked away to the boys dorm.
You sighed and sat down on the couch. Harry, Ron and Hermione just looked at the two of you.
'What?' You asked.
'Nothing... nothing at all..' Hermione spoke before dragging Harry by his sleeve out of the common room.
Ron looked at George and quickly followed them. George sat down besides you.
'I hope he's okay... he seems a bit annoyed today.'
'And yesterday... and the day before that.' You sighed.
You were worried about Fred. You got up and walked towards the boys dorm. You walked up and entered Fred and George room. You saw Fred laying on his bed. His back facing the door.
'Fred...'
'Go away.' He sighed knowing that he didn't want you to go.
'Come on Fred... you want a hug? You want a best friend hug?' You asked.
Fred sat up with a sigh. You walked towards his bed and hugged him. He placed his head on your shoulder and sighed. He felt a bit better now it was just the two of you.
'Don't be so angry... I don't know what's up but please don't do this.' You mumbled.
'I can't change that... you guys basically ignore me for the past week, or two weeks. You're my best friend Y/N. But now all you do is talk to George.'
'Is that why you're angry?' You asked.
He just nodded softly. He sat back up a bit and looked at you.
'I'm sorry Fred.' You spoke while getting rid of a stroke of hair that was blocking his forehead.
'It's okay... just stop ignoring me please.' He smiled.
You nodded. The two of you got up and walked downstairs.
'Are you okay?' George asked Fred.
He nodded.

That evening Fred and George sat in their room.
'Why were you such a wuss today?' George asked.
'Shut up. I wasn't a wuss. You keep interfering.'
'Interfering with what?' He asked.
Fred didn't answer and just put on his pajamas.
'Wait... do you like Y/N?' He asked.
Fred immediatly looked up.
'No! What no way! She's my best friend! You're being crazy.'
George saw that Fred was lying.
'O Wauw... there are more boys who like her then pranks we've pulled on teachers.' George spoke.
'Well, I'm lucky that I don't like her then.' Fred fake smiled.
'Sure Fred. You know that I see it when you're lying. By the way, you don't stand a chance.'
'Who said that?! If I would like her, which I don't, I'd stand a chance!'
'No way! She would like me much more.' George grinned.
Fred looked at him.
'Wait... you like her?' Fred asked.
'What? Pff... no.' He grinned.
Fred raised his brows.
'Okay... well, we like the same girl. That was something we could expect.' Fred sighed.
'I don't like her. Don't know what you're talking about.' George spoke.
'Then you wouldn't mind if I'd go to tell her right?' Fred asked.
George didn't say anything. Fred hurried down into the common room where you were sitting on the couch being your, in his eyes, beautiful self.
'Y/N... do you have a moment.'
You looked up and smiled at him.
'Of course Freddy. What's up?' You asked.
He sat down besides you and nervously played with his pajama shirt.
'I have to tell you something. It's kind of about today... about me acting like a wuss.'
'You didn't act like a wuss Fred. Everyone feels down from time to time. There's nothing wrong with that.' You smiled.
'Y/N... please, just let me explain.' He grinned.
You nodded and looked at him with a smile.
'I like you Y/N... maybe... a bit more then you think. I was just jealous at George.'
You had to process that. You know you wanted to see how things turned out but you still weren't sure who you liked. George or Fred... which one? You couldn't make that decision. Not now.
'Fred... you like me? Out of all people?'
'Yeah... I've liked you for a while now. Thought it was about time to tell you...'
'Fred, I like you... but I have to be honest. I've had confused feelings between you and George. I can't make the decision now... I'm sorry.' You spoke hoping it wouldn't hurt him to much.
He nodded.
'I get it Y/N... good night.'
He got up and just walked out. You sighed and felt bad for him.
