___1st Person POV_____
Standing before the villain, I eyed him from before my sunglasses, watching his every move and listening to his every word. He was currently in the middle of one of those villain speeches that revealed their big plan and whatnot. It was pretty entertaining to listen to, as the man just openly admitted and revealed all the info we needed to take him and his newly formed crew down.
Glancing over to my purple head partner, Shinsou, we both gave a nod to one another before looking back to the villain,
"Hey buddy! You need to-" Looking up towards the sun, I held my hand up, grasping onto the glowing rays that projected warmth onto me. Turning my body towards the villain in front of me, I held my stance as I brought my hand down, directing the light towards him, "Lighten up!"
The light seemed to temporarily blind him, so I moved my hand again and focused on manipulating the warm shreds of light. The glow falling between my fingers as I guided it into a spear-like weapon. Letting my fingers fall around it, I quickly threw it towards the man, but as soon as I did, there was an outside movement that stopped it.
Seeing the light spear get kicked away, I glanced over to see two other figures emerging from the shadows of the alleyway. One holding their hand up towards the light I just threw, while the other looked like they were almost hyped up on caffeine and sugar,
"Sh*t," I could hear Shinsou mumble out as I felt his weight shift towards me. I knew he was looking at the two figures, who both now looked pissed off. Quickly glancing around, seeing nobody was around, I let out a sigh and guided my hands around again, gathering some light. My eyes never let the group as I heard the energy ball in my hand, a smirk on my face, "I get the magician guy, you handle the big guy and the child,"
"Yeah, cause I'm great with children..." I sarcastically commented back before charging off into battle. Striking again with a shockwave of light, I turned over to see Shinsou easily gaining control of the magician guy after a few seconds. But those few seconds were interrupted as someone or something jumped into my back and began to pull me back like a Monkey. Letting out a yell, my hands instantly reached behind me, trying to grab at the spider monkey villain.
Thinking I grabbed onto their outfit or them, I leaned forward, almost tucking myself into my legs, and pulled them forward. Using all my strength, I threw them forward and off of me. Now, it was their turn to let out a yelp as they stumbled to the ground with a 'thud'.
Letting out a sigh, I suddenly realized there was another villain to face. With that, I turned myself around, glancing behind me to see that the villain was actually busy fighting Shinsou. Seeing as Shinsou was still in control of the magician villain ) and using them against the bigger villain, I felt confidence in his abilities and turned back to my own guy. Seeing as though they were jumping around, similar to a frog, I tried to follow their movements.
Holding my hand up, I collected a few rays of sunlight before attempting to aim it at the jumping villain. Watching them as they jumped from building to building, window through window, I kept my hand trained on them. Just as I felt like I had their movements down, I noticed they had disappeared.

Lowering my hand, along with my guard, I glanced around the building just before I felt something hit me. It was cold, and almost felt like it was burning my body, but I couldn't move away. I was held in place by some unseen force, and forced to take the cold spreading pain.
Grinding my teeth, I finally took note of where the villain was, appearing from the shadows once more,
"Look at you! You're stuck!" They let out a hyena sounding laugh that made me flinch a bit, "That stinks. I thought you'd be harder to get to, but oh well! In a few seconds, you'll be just as weak and useless as my buddy over there!"
If I could move, I'd raise my eyebrows out of confusion, not understanding the full potential of what their quirk was.
But, just like always, I was saved by the bell as suddenly the growing pain and unknown force seemed to let go of me. I fell down a bit to the ground, feeling weak and tired, almost like the energy in me had been drained. Turning my head over to the villain, I saw them lying their on the ground, knocked out while Shinsou stood above them. He turned around and almost dismissed the two other villains, he had under his control, to collapse themselves and wait for the police.
After that, he turned back towards me and I could see him running a bit over to my fallen body,
"(Y/N), are you okay!?" He quickly asked, disregarding to use my hero name, showing he was far more concerned with this.
Looking up to him, I gave a slow nod, "I think so. I just seem tired now..."
"Let's get you up," he answered, grabbing ahold of me and hoisting me up. As he stood me up, I leaned onto him, feeling that my legs were like jelly.
As we were up and turned back around to the villains, I could hear sirens signalling that they were near. With a sigh, I glanced over to Shinsou, giving a small smile,
"Good job partner,"
He turned to look at me, pulling down his bottom mask piece, showing his own small smile, "You too,"
At that moment, I felt myself grow even more weak, my legs completely giving out from underneath me as I collapsed into Shinsou's arms fully. Looking up to him, it was like my mind was shutting down as my eyes fluttered open and shut. I could see his instant panic as his grip on me tightened, trying to keep me up,
"Hey- you're fine. Don't fall asleep on me. Please-!"
And just like that, my mind fell asleep completely. And of course it did, just in the course of a few minutes...
I felt warm. I felt like I was by a fire, and it felt nice. I wanted some more warmth. I felt cold.
Opening my eyes, I almost sprang to life, panic rushing to me as I was overwhelmed with confusion and fear. But at the sight that I was in my small bedroom, I instantly relaxed and my panic flew away from me. Glancing around, I noticed that I was under the heavy weighted blanket Shinsou suggested we get, along with the fuzzy blanket I felt the need to drunkenly purchase the other night. Cuddling up to that fuzzy blanket, I let out a sound.

With that sound, my eyes widened quite a bit as I didn't understand where the hell that came from within me. It was a throat rumbling noise, almost like a cat purring, which made me worry a bit.
Seeing as though Shinsou was nowhere in the room, I decided it'd be best to get up on my own. So, throwing off the blankets and swinging my legs over the edge of the bed, I took note of how I wasn't as tall as I was before. I was almost a foot shorter than my normal height, which began to throw me into another moment of confusion. Jumping off the bed, I let out a yawn before walking towards the bedroom door and opening it. Letting it fall open, I looked out into the hallway, still not seeing anything of my purple haired boyfriend.
But I shrugged it off, assuming he was probably busy with some afterwork paperwork.
Walking towards the bathroom door, I opened that and quickly walked in. Feeling the need to go about my business, I turned towards the mirror for a split second before letting out a scream.
Instantly I heard footsteps rushing my way and within seconds, I saw my tired boyfriend standing in the doorway.
Turning towards him, I let my scream fade as I pointed to myself,
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" I yelled out, pointing more specifically to the newly formed cat ears that seemed to be attached to my head, along with the cat tail that felt to be coming out from my lower back. I could see his panicked expression fade into a soft smile as he chuckled a little,
"I think it adds more onto your cuteness," he commented and I seemed to hiss at him. It felt awkward to hiss, almost like I was that one girl in 7th grade who tried to convince everyone she was a cat... Not to be specific or anything...
"Okay!? But how did this happen???" I asked more importantly, giving him a bit of a glare as he chuckled a bit through his words,
"Well you remember how you got hit by that villain earlier today?" I nodded, "So, their quirk was to transform anyone into an animal. And you got hit... but since you broke out of their quirk early, you only got half of the effects of it. And now you're a cute little cat,"
He leaned down and pet my head, causing me to let out that weird purring noise again, before swatting his hand away,
"No no! None of that!" I stammered out, walking around his legs, not really having to use the bathroom anymore, "So how long does this last?"
"24 hours," he answered, following me as we both walked down the hall into the living room area,
"And how long has it been?" I asked once more, jumping/climbing up onto the couch, watching as Shinsou sat down next to me. His soft smile never left his face as he just looked down at me, his hand reaching out and petting me once more,
"Only 2 hours,"
I groaned, pushing his hand away before falling down a bit onto his lap. Looking up to him, his purple eyes were trained down on me as he held his smile still,
"D*mn... So I'm stuck like this for 22 more hours??" I snuggled my head a bit into his stomach as it felt warm and soft to lay on,
"I don't see the issue. This just means I get 22 hours of a little cute cat girl," he explained, his voice changing ever so slightly to sound like he was talking to a baby or small dog. I glared at him for this.
Shaking my head, I rolled around a little before getting comfortable on his lap some more. Almost out of instinct and habit, my body curled up onto him, despite being a bit bigger on his lap. Feeling his hand come into contact with my hair, I felt myself push up against it, craving his touch a bit more than usual. But before my purring started, I cut it off, realizing what I was doing, and for that... I fell off the couch.
Hitting the floor, I hissed out again,
"No! I said none of that!"
"But kitten... Please," he looked down towards me, his eyes begging me, "Just let me take care of you for the day?"
Looking into his eyes, I felt intimidated. I felt like I was being pulled in by some unwanted and unknown force yet again. But I didn't want to give in. I didn't want to be a little cat girl thing for the day....
But it sounded nice to have him take care of me for the day, so it can't be that bad, right? Plus, those puppy dog, begging eyes- I just can't say no,
"Fine, but only for the day. After that, I refuse to pull of some weird roleplay stuff," I answered back honestly, hearing him silently cheer about it,
"Deal,"
And with that, I jumped back up onto the couch and lied down on his lap again. Feeling his warmth, I felt happy and calm, knowing I was safe with him. But not only that, I felt his hand fall down and begin to play with and run his fingers through my hair. I definitely purred at the feeling as it relaxed me. It gave me a sense of comfort and felt as though it was putting me to sleep. I kept my eyes closed as I let out quite purrs, hearing Shinsou's quiet chuckles in the background.
He seemed to switch on the TV as well, hearing that as well, but I ignored it as I just felt comfort on Shinsou's lap,
"Maybe I could get use to this..." I mumbled out, leaning more into the purple man's body. Feeling happiness arise from him, I knew he was satisfied with our situation, but he confirmed it as he spoke,
"I could too... Now rest my little kitten. You're so cute like this,"
And I did exactly that. I slept like gosh darn Garfield on a Monday morning, because it felt even better to be a cat and get cuddled.

Only Villains Do That
While waiting on an Akihabara train platform one day, ordinary high schooler Yoshi Shinonome was suddenly plucked from his normal life in Japan and whisked away by a beautiful goddess to Ephemera, a world of magic and adventure, to serve as her Hero and drive back the evil Dark Lord. This is not his story. Standing nearby at the moment Yoshi was isekai'd was a man named Seiji - a rude, cranky, misanthropic musician who was not at all pleased to find himself also snatched up and transported to Ephemera by the goddess's wicked sister, Virya. According to this self-proclaimed Goddess of Evil, the whole fantasy adventure thing was a game she and her sister played to stave off the boredom of immortality, and since the good goddess, Sanora, had picked her Hero...well, Virya needed a Dark Lord. A grown man with his own career and ambitions, Seiji has no interest in playing. Unfortunately for him, the call to adventure was not a request. Now, he must conquer Ephemera and defeat the Hero...or Virya promises to make him beg for the release of death before granting it. Playing along for his own survival, Seiji nonetheless is under no illusions who his true enemy is, and it's not the naive young would-be Hero from his own world. Placed in an impossible position, Seiji must make enough progress toward world domination to keep his sadistic patron goddess off his back, but not so much that he can't strike an accord with the forces of Good and convince the Hero Yoshi that it's the goddesses who are their mutual enemy. Forced to embrace Evil without being too evil, Seiji walks the razor's edge, building his forces and biding his time till he can get revenge on the goddesses and be free of them, his only certainty that he will not be getting out of this with his hands clean. A Dark Lord's gotta do what a Dark Lord's gotta do. Updates Tuesday and Friday. Most Patreon tiers get to read one chapter in advance of the public release!
