When Amaya had woken up in the compound unaware of how she got back into her room, she isolated herself. The events of the day were too overwhelming for her.
If having a baby that she thought died over thirty years ago get magically put into her after wasn't bad enough. Then finding out the person who held that baby for months was the same woman your husband slept with who also happens to be your cousin was.
She snapped out of her thoughts when a knock sounded through the door. She hoped that if she didn't say anything or open the door but the person would go away.
But no, instead Hayley walked through the threshold making Amaya roll her eyes. She wasn't really in the mood to see anyone, especially Hayley.
''Amaya'' Hayley said but Maya didn't answer. She simply kept on staring numbly at the wall in front of her.
Sighing Hayley sat next to Amaya expecting her to scoot away from her or for her to send a glare her way but she did none of those things. ''Have you eaten yet.''
Getting up Hayley left Amaya's room and came back with food and a blood bag. She placed it on her bedside table and turned around to leave, that is until Maya called her.
''Why are you doing this, Hayley?'' Maya's broken voice called out for Hayley.
''What do you mean,'' Hayley asked in confusion as she turned back around to face Amaya.
''Why are you helping me?'' She asked and it was now that Hayley could see just how affected Amaya was by the situation.
''You're pregnant Amaya,'' Hayley said as she recalled when Elijah told her what caused the bleeding. ''And..." She hesitated "We're family, and family look out for each other.''

Maya scoffed and rolled her eyes ''We aren't family, Hayley.''
Walking back into the room Hayley said ''I have spent my whole life trying to find my family and here you are. So even tho you hate me with all your guts you're still my family and I will still care for you."
"I don't hate you," Amaya muttered earning a confused look from Hayley.
"What," Hayley said as she furrowed her eyebrows.
Raising her voice Maya said "I don't hate you. I never did." Hayley's eyes then widened at Maya's confession.
"I don't get it. If you never hated me, why act as you do." Hayley asked as she sat beside Amaya on the bed. She was surprised that Amaya hadn't kicked her out yet.
Sighing Maya turned from her position on the bed and faced Hayley "I was jealous."
Hearing her words Hayley scoffed out a laugh. "You." She pointed to Amaya and then pointed to herself. "Were jealous of me? I don't believe you."
It was now Maya's turn to scoff. "Why is that so hard to believe?" She asked.
"Because well, you're you." Seeing Maya's look of confusion Hayley elaborated. "You're beautiful, confident and overall perfect. And I'm me. Just a werewolf who managed to get mixed up in Mikaelson's business."
"I was jealous because you got the one thing I always wanted so easily," Maya said,
"And what's that."
"A child." Maya sighed as she braced herself to explain. "I'm sure you now know how I lost my baby thirty years ago."
"Yeah, Klaus told Elijah who told me."
"Of course he did," Maya mumbled earning an amused look from Hayley. "Well after that I resented Klaus. I blamed him for the loss of our child. And years later when I get news that a werewolf so easily got pregnant with his child I resented the both of you. I thought it was unfair that it was so hard for me to conceive a child and then lose it only for you to have a one-night stand with him and get pregnant." Amaya said and reluctantly met Hayley's stare that was filled with nothing but understanding.

"I understand. If I was in your shoes, I would resent me too." Hayley said as she watched Maya lightly chuckle.
There was a comfortable silence between the two girls before Maya suddenly said "You're not just a werewolf." Grabbing onto one of Hayley's hands, Amaya said "You're a Labonair. And we Labonair's have to stick together"
"Does this mean we can be friends?" When Maya delivered no reply Hayley quickly got worried that she had said something wrong. "I-I mean we don't have to if you don't want to-
Chuckling Maya said "Yes Hayley we can be friends." making Hayley sigh in relief. Truth is Maya took so long to respond because she didn't think Hayley was being serious. After the way, Maya treated Hayley if she was in her shoes she wouldn't want anything to do with Amaya.
"Soo..." Hayley trailed off. "What are you gonna do now?" She asked making Maya furrow her brows in confusion. "You know about your new baby bump."
"Oh. Well, I kinda thought that you would be mad about you not having the baby anymore." Maya said.
"Are you kidding me?" Hayley scoffed. "I'm slightly relieved. I wasn't ready to be a mom. And I don't think I would have made a good one either."
"Hey." Maya nudged Hayley's shoulder. "I think you would have made a great mom."
"I mean I never met my real parents and my foster parents kicked me out when I turned." Hayley sighed sadly. "But you think I would have made a good mom?"
Smiling lightly Maya said " Of course. I saw the way you protected the baby. Even if you weren't ready for a baby you still stepped up and that's something a good mother would do."
"Now." Maya jumped up lightly. "Tell me everything that I have to expect while being pregnant."
"Well for starters, you get these weird cravings. Like one time I woke up in the middle of the night because I wanted pickles and peanut butter." Hearing her words Maya's face scrunched up in disgust.
"Ew." Hayley nodded agreeing with her statement.
"But that's not it is it." Maya sighed as she watched Hayley's expression morph into one of sympathy.
"No, it isn't. You're also going to have morning sickness. And horrible mood swings. You could be happy right now then start crying for no apparent reason."
And as Hayley explained everything that came with being pregnant Maya coronet helped but release a breath of contentment.
Maybe just maybe everything would be alright.

8 91Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

8 175Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
