She never tough it possible for her to have kids until she did a spell which confirmed it. Maya was pregnant.

When Amaya had opened the door to the house she heard grunting but she simply brushed them off not thinking anything of it. But as she started walking up the stairs the noises started to get louder and louder. Her gut yelled at her telling her to turn back around but she kept going. The closer she got to her and Klaus's shared room the more the reality of him being unfaithful to her started to set in. But she had hoped that when she opened the door she would have been completely wrong. How naive she was for thinking that.

She started to feel the tears pool up in her eyes as she held unto her stomach for a source of comfort. It was as if she was invisible seeing as Klaus didn't even know she was standing at the door watching him be unfaithful towards her.

''Klaus...'' She brokenly whispered he immediately froze in his actions before jumping off the person he was on and using his vampire speed to put on his pants. As Maya watched him in disbelief out of the corner of her eye she caught their maid smirking in her direction. Her sadness quickly turned into anger as she turned to the maid with a deadly look in her eyes that made her drop her smirk fearfully.

Channelling as much magic as she could without hurting the baby Maya used it to make her blood boil until she died a show and painful death. She hadn't even heard Klaus yelling her name until he came up to her and touched her shoulder.

''Don't touch me'' She slapped his hands off her. Seeing the look of disgust in her eyes broke Klaus's heart. He hadn't even fully registered what he was doing until Maya came into the room. Without sparing him another glance she turned on her heels and walked down the stairs about to walk out of the house but Klaus stopped her.

''Where are you going'' His voice came out raspy.

Turning around to face him she said ''I'm leaving''

''When are you coming back'' He asked hopefully making her bitterly chuckle as she looked at him in disbelief. How much of a fool must he be to think she was coming back after she caught him with another.

''You think I'm coming back? News Flash Niklaus I'm not. I am no longer going to sit here and put up with you treating me like I'm worthless.'' She was aware that Klaus was in full-on tears now but she didn't care. He didn't deserve her sympathy. Not after what he did. ''You disgust me'' She spat.

Enraged Klaus yelled ''YOU ARE NOT LEAVING ME" She flinched back her hand flying to her stomach protectively.

''Watch me'' Maya said her voice dry. It all happened in a blur one minute Klaus was standing in front of her the next he was behind her with a golden dagger decorated in red rubies. Maya gasped as Klaus ran towards her with it.

''Nik stop'' She pleaded with him in fear. Not in fear of being daggered but in fear of her child's life. She could have used her magic but it would take too much energy out of her to stop him and she didn't want to put the baby at risk. But Klaus didn't listen, instead, he charged at her again but Maya ran to the opposite side of the room.

''I'm afraid I can't love. I won't risk losing you'' Klaus said trying to justify himself.

As Klaus came closer and closer to her Maya pleaded and pleaded ''NIK PLEASE DON'T DO THIS I BEG YOU PLEASE" The dagger was now touching her chest and Maya knew what she had to say to save not her life but her child's. ''I won't leave you please Nik. I'll stay here with you. I will never leave you just please I beg you please don't dagger me''

Looking heartbroken at her Klaus yelled ''YOU'RE LYING"

Continuously shaking her head ''I'm not I give you my word'' She said trying to convince him. Dropping the dagger Klaus pulled Maya and a hug and started sobbing.

"I'm so sorry, Maya please forgive me. I will never do such a thing again. You have to believe me'' Klaus begged unaware of the expression Maya held on her face. She had to resist gagging in disgust at the fact that he was touching her after his hands were roaming someone else's body. She had never felt so filthy in her life.

Cradling his head Maya consoled him ''Shh shh it's ok Nik I forgive you.'' Taking Klaus's vulnerability to her advantage Maya unexpectedly snapped his neck. Before using her vampire speed to race upstairs to get what she needed before Klaus's woke up and tried to dagger her again.

When she was finally a good distance from the house Maya wanted to keep running but felt an excruciating pain in her lower area. Lifting her dress she realized spotted blood dripping down her legs.

''No no no no. This can't be happening please be okay'' She whispered but it was too late she had already lost the baby. Her hope and been lost once again.
