《Devil in My Heart》Althea

In the evening, Ryana took to the stage again and drew amazement. The news was easily spread. "In the entertainment venues, a veiled lady is dancing with swords." The soldiers heard the rumors and came to visit. And sure enough, they found that woman. Then after the show finished, they invited the woman into the palace.
The next day, Ryana walked into the palace where the prince was waiting. But she didn't wear a veil.
"Prince, this is the person you are looking for. Yesterday we met her at the entertainment venue wearing a veil and bright yellow earrings."
The prince saw the bright yellow earrings. "Right. These earrings."
Then he continued, "But the woman has short hair." The prince partially covered Ryana's face to see the look in her eyes, then shook his head as he said, "Hmm... That woman isn't this person."
A confused Ryana then asked, "What's wrong, prince? What happened?"
"Let's talk in my room. Come follow me." Invite the prince.
Arriving in the room, the prince asked, "What is your name?" asked the prince.
"My name is Ryana, prince," replied Ryana.
Then he explained, "Last night I was attacked by the figure of a lady with a veil and with earrings like the ones you wear."
Ryana gasped.
"Do you know the person?" asked the prince.
"These earrings were from our martial arts course. But I've never seen my friends again." Ryana said.
"Oh..."
"Why did she attack you, prince?" asked Ryana again.
"She was against me cutting down the tree in the fairy forest. I allow the woodcutter to cut down the tree because I don't believe in fairies."
Ryana was shocked and said in a high tone, "As a prince, you must guard the forest."
The prince was surprised to see Ryana's reaction.
"Ah... Sorry prince, I got carried away with emotion. Even if you don't believe in fairies, you should not take excessively to damage nature and do not allow illegal loggers. You have the authority to conserve and develop new forests." I give him advice.
Then I continued, "That's where the fairies live. Therefore, she insisted on guarding it to the point of risking her life. Only certain people can see it."
The prince gasped and agreed to the advice I gave. Then he said, "If you see that woman, please tell her, that I am waiting for her so that I can apologize to her directly. I will issue an order to guard the forest soon."
"Thank you for the generosity." Replied me.

I returned to the fairy forest and saw a veiled woman in front of me. Then I said, "Y... you?"

The woman turned around. I said, "Prince invites you to the palace."
Before Ryana thinks and says a lot to her, this woman quickly attacked her.
"Wait... wait a minute. I'm not a villain." Said Ryana.
Without hearing an explanation, she immediately raised her weapon. But Ryana took out a sword and parried soon. Then, we clashed, and I also remembered an incident when I was in a martial art course.
"This move is like practice with him at that time." That's what's on my mind.
Finally, she fell. I was above her and saw the look in her eyes. Then she said which made me surprised, "Sis Ryana. As usual, your strong movements and I can't win over you."
I replied, "You, could it be Althea?"
"Yes. Sis." Althea replied as she got up, took off her veil, and hugged me.
"It's been a long time, sis," Althea said.
"Yes."
The touching meeting made their eyes tear up.
"How are you, Althea?"
"I'm fine." She answered.
"What about a sister?" She asked back.
"I was on a quest to find the truth about my family," I answered.
"I heard that you have been guarding this forest. That's great, Althea. The prince will issue an edict to preserve and protect it. Now, he invites you to the palace," explained Ryana.
Not long after, the fairies appeared and rejoiced.
"I already knew that you could see fairies, so you protected them. Thank you, Althea."
We embraced with a warm heart and surround by fairies.
The next day, Althea visited the palace. The guards escorted her to a beautiful garden. There the prince was playing his harp while saying,
"This love melody keeps ringing in my head. Is this what is called love?
This melody reminds me of the times with you. I wish I could hear your voice.
I can only carve this feeling in my heart. I kept it hidden but I didn't dare say it.
All I want to do for the rest of my life is love you.
Time goes on but my feelings for you never fade.
I don't know what love is. But I can feel it because of you.
Love flows gently to water the arid fields of my heart and the seeds of love grow in my heart.
Now you are gone. All I can do is pour out and give the flowers of love to those around me.
Even though I was in the dark before, you illuminate my heart.
Like a star up there that keeps on shining. You gave me hope.
I will rise and live this life through the love you gave me.

Thank you for everything..."
Althea was mesmerized by the prince's uttered poetry accompanied by melodious music.
"Althea, thanks for waking me up and sorry for almost hurting you." Said the prince who looked at her gently.
"I should be the one apologizing for almost hurting the prince. Please the prince is willing to forgive me."
"Okay, Althea."
"Prince, I thank you for being willing to preserve and protect this forest," Althea said.
"That's what I should have told you and conveyed my thanks to Ryana." replied the prince.
Then the prince said to Althea, "Althea, will you be my wife?"
Deg...
"B-but prince? I do not have anything?" Spoke Althea haltingly.
"I wrote this poem and addressed it to you. I fell in love from the first time we met on the road and I'm amazed you risked your life for the forest. I'm already abundant in wealth, why should I expect more material from you? I don't have anything you have. Otherwise, you don't have anything that I have. That's how we complement each other."
Finally, Althea accepted the prince's proposal, and they were married in the fairy forest.
"S-so is this a fairy?" said the prince who was taken aback.
They would appear because they trusted the prince. Ryana rejoiced to see her friend marry the prince.
After the wedding, Ryana said goodbye to Althea and the prince. They gave me money to journey, and I thank you very much. After that, I said goodbye to the mistress at the entertainment venue. At first, she was reluctant, but she let me go after hearing my explanation who wanted to find out my family background. Then I went back to the fairy forest and because I have contributed to protecting the forest, the tree god offered his help.
"What do you want?" Say the god.
"I want to know where I come from." While saying that, I took out a gem necklace.
The tree branches were like hands, then took the necklace.
"Owh..." The tree's voice echoed.
"Do you know the tree god?"
"Tree roots are interconnected with other tree roots that penetrate the earth. Information that is located far away can be known. Not only through the earth, but the surrounding natural energy is interconnected with other energies through water, fire, and air. Information can be obtained because nature and creatures are interconnected." The tree god explained.
Not long after, the tree god found out.
"O human get ready for the next adventure. Be strong."
"Yes. I'm ready," replied Ryana.
Then from the tree trunk appeared like a clear and shining mirror.
"Please come in here. You just have to walk straight until you find the exit." Said the tree god.
"Well," I spoke.
But before I left the tree and the little fairy in the forest, I said goodbye to them.
"Are you going to leave us?" asked the fairies.
"Yes. This is to seek the truth about who I am?" I answered.
"Are you going to visit us again?"
I embraced them warmly and lovingly, "If I still have the chance to meet, I will return to visit all of you. Aludra, Wezen, and Adhara guard this forest and the others. Make this forest more beautiful. You have that power. I leave it to you." Ryana smiled at them.
"I-I don't want to part with Ryana."
"Farewell to those you love will indeed cause sadness. But this is the process of life that we will meet, and we must go through, like it or not." I said as I stroked Aludra's head.
Then Adhara gave me an accessory.
"This is a temperature controller. By wearing this, you can adapt to the ambient temperature. Unless the temperature is very extreme, its strength will decrease. You can hang it on your robe."
"Is it okay to give me such of valuable thing?" asked Ryana.
Adhara shook her head. Otherwise, I like to give something, especially to people who are precious to me.
Wezen then came forward and said, "This is a gift from me a bracelet. If you are in danger and are trying to protect yourself, then automatically from this bracelet will appear a sword."
Aludra's turn approached, "These are shoes that will condition you with the environment where you will be. Wear it. It will be useful in your long journey."
"Thank you to all of you. I will never forget your kindness. Take good care of yourselves." My last advice with teary eyes. I tried to contain my emotions.
Then I walked to the tree god and hugged the trunk of the big tree. "Even though I don't have any supernatural powers, can you feel my affection for you? Has my affection been channeled?" said Ryana.
"Yes. Human. I can feel your loving kindness. You have a kind and sincere heart. Your journey will be safe, and you will find the truth."
"Thank you, tree god." I hugged the tree deeply and lovingly.
The tree god then returned the necklace. Before I stepped inside, I turned around and said goodbye to them with a wave. Then with steady confidence, I stepped inside.

Hy'Ruh-Ha is a what I consider a chronicle fantasy. It is a fantasy drama coming of age story inspired by slice-of-life stories I've read and watched.
