《Devil in My Heart》Leaving

The next day, in the meadow...
"Hey lady," said Tyrone to Ryana. Ryana was surprised to see Tyrone's presence.
"Don't be so surprised. I won't do anything." Tyrone said.
"What do you want?" asked Ryana who was aware of him.
"Before that, I want to ask you. Are you the owner of the necklace you are wearing?"
"What's with this necklace?" Ryana asked while holding the necklace.
"Because I know where the necklace came from."
Ryana was astonished to hear that. "Does he really know or is it just a trap?" In Ryana's mind.
"I can't believe you," Ryana said.
"It's up to you. After all, you are going through, you need information." Tyrone said.
In confusion, Ryana thought for a moment. Seeing Ryana's expression, Tyrone continued, "My troops killed your kingdom. And I was the one who killed your father. And the cause of your mother's death is also from my followers. You know until now, Lucien is in the group that has destroyed your kingdom as well as your life. Now you are living in a land that has allied with me in conquering your homeland."
Ryana was very surprised to hear that. She still couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her eyes started to glaze over. Then her sadness was mixed with anger. She drew her sword from its scabbard and wanted to attack Tyrone. However, Tyrone only held the blade with his two fingers.
"Hohoho... The eyes are sharp and full of hatred. I like that... I like that... Hahaha." While saying that, Tyrone put his sword aside until Ryana was blown away due to Tyrone's power. It doesn't end there. Tyrone stomped on Ryana's palm and as he knelt, he said, "Revenge. Take that grudge with you." His point is that he wants to torture Ryana mentally by holding grudges. Ryana looked at him with hateful eyes. Tyrone didn't kill Ryana that time because Lucien would hate him. Therefore, he used this method to separate the two of them.
Claes saw Ryana being attacked by an unknown person, then shouted as he charged forward to attack Tyrone. Tyrone retreated backward and flew. Instead of chasing him, Claes was more worried about Ryana's condition. She was crying in his embrace.
"What exactly happened?" mumbled Claes.
Ryana was in her room being examined by the royal physician.
"She's just in shock and tired of the prince. She'll wake up soon."
The prince nodded and the royal physician left. Claes held her hand which was bandaged and said, "I will protect you."
That night, I woke up and felt sadness. Not long after, Claes came into the room and was surprised to see Ryana who had to awaken.
"Are you okay?" while putting the medicine on the table.
I heard Claes' voice and shook my head. Claes understood Ryana's state of mind and suggested that Ryana rest. But before that, he said, "Is there anything you want to tell me?"

Ryana turned to Claes with a faint smile and said, "Nothing. I'm just tired."
"I've never seen Ryana this depressed before." He was worried about Ryana's condition, but right now there was nothing he could do. Seeing Ryana's depressed expression and implying she wanted to be alone, Claes left her.
That night Lucien came to Ryana's room.
"How is your condition?" said Lucien warmly.
Ryana looked at Lucien with sharp eyes as she said, "I'm not fine."
Lucien who panicked said "Did someone hurt you? While looking at and holding Ryana's bandaged hand. Tell me who is it?"
Ryana released her grip and said as she took out her necklace and dagger.
"Do you know this stuff?"
Lucien was confused by Ryana's unusual reaction. Then Ryana continued, "This is a legacy from my parents who were killed by the asuras."
Lucien was shocked, "What does this mean?"
"I should be the one saying that!" Answered Ryana who was emotional. He thought that Lucien participated in the attack on her kingdom.
"Lucien... I can't be with you. I hope this is our farewell." Ryana said straightforwardly and sadly.
Lucien, who really didn't know anything, felt like his heart was stabbed by a sharp sword when he heard Ryana's parting words. "I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know why we have to part?" Lucien said.
"Because you're one of them!" answered Ryana.
Hearing Ryana's emotional state, Lucien replied, "I can't force you if it's the best choice for you. But I still love you. I hope you will be happy." Lucien said.
Lucien flew away from Ryana. Ryana was sobbing and holding back the pain in her heart to part with Lucien. She had decided. The guards saw an asura flying from Ryana's room and reported to sir Dion.
Not finished with the inner turmoil that was experienced by Ryana, the next day she was summoned by a high-ranking royal official. She went to the assembly hall escorted by two knights.
"We have reports that you are in contact with the asuras to spy on and leak the royal system. Is it true?"
The audience who was there became chaotic and shocked by the news.
"Is it true?"
"It that means he has betrayed the kingdom."
"Can't be let it go!"
"Ladies and gentlemen please be quiet."
"Are you admitting that you are related to the asuras?" Asked the aristocrat who acted as the questioner.
"I was in contact with one of them in the past, but I'm not a spy who tells them something crucial. I will not betray this kingdom. I know the limit." I answered.
The audience started to get rowdy again.
"Cannot be trusted. Imprison him."
"Shoot him away."
"What's wrong with being friends with them? They just obey their master's orders. Why should we differentiate? People fight because of their greed. As a result, many people make sacrifices to fulfill their superior's greed and the people are affected." Ryana's words echoed in the hall.

There was a moment of silence until Dion spoke, "We can't accept someone like you. Even if you claim to be not a spy, who knows in the future?" Said Dion.
"That's right... that's right..." said the audience.
"Hahaha... So funny. Very funny!" Ryana shouted.
The audience fell silent and whispered, "What the hell is he doing?"
"You judge me as if you are innocent. You sit comfortably there while others suffer. For your greed, didn't you guys also attack other kingdoms and ally with the asuras?" Her gaze shows her anger. Then she continued with a cynical smile, "Is that true, noble Dion?"
Dion was taken aback. "Does he know?" in Dion's mind.
"What does this mean?" asked the audience.
"Guard." Say follower Dion.
Then one of the bodyguards pushed the back of my knees so I was on my knees and pulled my arms back while holding my back so I couldn't move.
"Not polite." Say follower Dion.
"Just tell me that you want to get me out of here. You don't need to use this method. I know you guys don't like commoners like me. Even though I'm just a commoner, I still have a conscience. If you really want me to leave this country, I will immediately do it."
Those who were there were shocked.
Then Ryana continued, "I know power will win you over everything, but a powerless person like me will win from your cunning."
Then Dion's followers said, "You must be arrested. We can't just let you go."
On the other hand, ...
"Commander, Ryan is on trial in the hall." Said the guard to Taddeus.
Meanwhile, some guards informed the prince about this incident. The two of them were simultaneously shocked by the news, then shouted, "What???!"
The two of them headed towards the court hall and met each other in opposite directions. They both enter. Prince Claes shouted, "What are you doing?!"
The elites were then surprised to see the prince's presence.
"Let him go!" Claes said to the bodyguard who was holding Ryana down.
"Who held this trial when the king was not around?" Taddeus shouted.
"Prince and my son, this is an urgent matter. We have been deceived. He's secretly related to one of the asuras."
Claes and Taddeus were shocked. Meanwhile, Ryana was holding back her emotions.
"This could endanger this country in the future. Could it be that during the arrest at that time that took the victim, it was one of his collaborations with the asuras?" asked Dion.
Those who were there were shocked.
"I told you, I am friends without getting involved in royal affairs. I would not do such a heinous thing!" Ryana expresses her emotions.
"You want to corner me, but I will attack you back," Dion said in his mind.
"We have no evidence of that. We shouldn't accuse him," said Claes.
"You don't have to protect him, Prince. I'm doing this for the sake of the kingdom as well as the people." Said Dion.
The audience cheered and sided with Dion. They agree with his argument.
"This Dion is smart and able to turn things around," Claes said in his heart.
Then Claes said, "He has done a lot for this kingdom and we can't make baseless accusations. It's easier for us to believe unproven rumors than the merits of someone who has already appeared before us. Is that the attitude of royalty?" Claes said echoing in the hall.
"I beg to release Ryan because I see his integrity and great care in him. In addition, considering the services he has done." Taddeus pleaded.
The audience was silent.
In a position still kneeling, Ryana saw the prince and Taddeus who defended her. It touched her heart. They finally acquitted Ryana of the charges. Ryana thought that it was not good to linger in this kingdom. The other elites who sided with the prince would be less. Therefore, Ryana decided to leave this kingdom. Besides that, she also wanted to find out the truth. Finally, she wrote a message to Claes.
The next morning, the prince entered Ryana's room but was not there. Claes panicked and before he asked the guards to look for Ryana's whereabouts, he found a letter addressed to him, "I'm sorry Claes. I can't say goodbye directly. I want to know my background, parents, and the land where I was born. I want to find the truth. Therefore, I will wander. Don't look for me. Thank you for your support as well as others."
Claes feel sad and then said, "Where are you going?"
Rain and thunder, I stood looking at the castle one more time before I left it. Watch it in silence. My hair in one ponytail swayed to the rhythm of the wind. Instead of being afraid of the thunder sound, I like it. I feel sad, this heartache makes my heart feel uncomfortable. This heartache seems to follow me. I started to hate the world, but actually this hatred made me suffer even more. I'm burning with this hatred.
I'm desperate. The life ahead is uncertain. Not to mention I have to risk my life. On the other hand, my heart spoke, if I stopped now, I would be a real loser. The hurt that I feel, this pain I don't know how long I can endure. Sometimes I'm tired.
I have decided to go on another adventure. I want to disappear from all of them. Do I still have hope for a better life? I tried to forget for a moment the worries of this mind that were contaminated with hatred and sadness. The journey of my life is not easy. Therefore, I must become tough. Goodbye.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
