《Devil in My Heart》Claes and Ryan

"That gaze... Isn't she afraid?" thought Tyrone.
Tyrone said without further ado, "You are a threat to me."
"How is that possible? Is it because you are too fixated on the prophecy? I think that
"Enough!!" Tyrone shouted as he approached her. They also stared at each other. His eyes which were shining golden looked sharp into the eyes of the princess who was kneeling.
"Will my death guarantee your safety?" I ventured to speak again in a relaxed tone.
"Before you die, I'd better see who's behind this veil," replied Tyrone.
Tyrone took off her veil. Leon and Lean were surprised by what they saw.
"You?? how did you get here?" Leona said.
"Anything is possible," I answered.
Leona clenched her fists and bit her lip to suppress her anger because what she saw was Ryan. Meanwhile, Tyrone had never seen Ryan's face.
"What does it mean?" Tyrone asked. "You already know her?"
"Sorry my lord, he was the one who was with Lucien at that time," Leander replied.
"So, you're here to outsmart me, human?" said Tyrone with a tone of anger.
"Apparently this person is the one who got Lucien's attention." In Tyrone's mind.
"Forgive me. I came here on purpose to say something.
"So, this is a messenger from the kingdom who purposely sent his messenger to the snake's lair? Don't you know that you can die at any moment in the course of this task of yours?"
"Even though I already know the risks, I'm still trying to stop this war. Even if the hope is small and my life is in danger, it's better than just watching and having to see death everywhere."
"Go...." Tyrone turned around as well.
"Your Majesty???" said Leona and Leander in unison.
"Hah?" I was surprised.
"There's nothing more to talk about. In addition, haven't you already conveyed your intentions?"
"Y-yes... But I beg you, consider this, sir."
Tyrone was silent.
"You all bring out this human from my castle," command Tyrone.
"Yes, Your Majesty," said his two confidants.
After Ryan has gone from this hall, Tyrone called Lean before he left.
"Yes, my lord," replied Leander.
"Kill him."

Prince Claes and his army are on their way to rescue Ryan.
"Taddeus, now you're not blocking me anymore?"
"How could that be? I'll be hit again later," Taddeus joked.
The prince laughed lightly.
"Prince, at the frontier we have our soldiers watching. They watched in which direction the dragon had gone."
"Good..."
The horse continued to gallop. During their journey,
"Five more days, we will celebrate the annual harvest. This is just for anticipation, what if in the crowd, a demon suddenly appears? Moreover, he was looking for the prophesied princess. Coincidentally, Princess Eudora is visiting here," Dion expressed his opinion.
"So, we have to prioritize the safety of the princess," said the king.
"What if the princess doesn't just join the celebration?"
"Yes, I agree."
"But if they don't find what they're looking for, it's possible that the demon could mess up and ruin everything here," Dion said.
"So, what should we do? It's as if you're suggesting that you have no choice other than to hand over the princess to them." Claes said.

"That's right, Dion. It would be a shame if the princess was lost in this kingdom. How can I explain it to her parents?" asked the king who wants to get a solution.
In their deliberations, Dion reminisced about the incident of his meeting with Leander.
"Sir Leander, our kingdom gets a visit from a neighbor princess."
"What do you mean, noble?"
"Considering about the prophecy. Is he the one you are looking for?"
"Mhmm..." Lean thought. All right, I'll pass it on to my lord. Is there anything else you want to say?"
"In two weeks, our country will celebrate the annual harvest celebration. I'm just informing you. Maybe it was the right moment where many people gathered."
Dion coded to Leander the right time to bring the princess.
In Dion's mind, "If the princess is caught from here, it will be a problem if the neighbor kingdom finds out. It would make the king of Demetria lose his supporting power from the outside. But that's not my goal. If the asuras really attack us, so my guess is correct. Then, I can gain the trust of the people of this palace. And in the future, I can easily play chess pieces including moving the king." Dion smiled slyly at his plan. But when they were busy deciding, suddenly...
"Sir Dion, how come you can think this far?" asked Claes.
"That reminds me of the past incident when there was an attack at the Shira kingdom. Moreover, our kingdom is close to the asura territory. Even though we have a strong army, we must be careful. News of the arrival of the princess has also spread to this kingdom. That's what makes me afraid if things happen that we are not expected. We need to build a strong force and tighten security, especially in border areas."
The other nobles agreed with Dion's thought going one step further.
When the meeting was over, Taddeus also met the prince in his room, "Excuse me. Can I suggest something?" Taddeus asked.
"Yes, Taddeus," replied Claes.
"What if someone disguised as Princess Eudora?"
"You have a good idea. But who will sacrifice? There's no way we'd leave ordinary lady as well."
"Pardon my rudeness. I was merely suggesting how about Ryan in disguise."
Suddenly the prince was surprised to hear the name.
"What makes you think he's worthy?"
"From his posture and also his face."
"But..."
"If the asuras come, we will try to fight them. And if they get him, we'll go after him."
"Give me some time to think."
"Okay, prince." Taddeus left the room.
That night, in a royal garden, Ryan sat and imagined, "What could I do for this kingdom? In Rega's mind, he wanted to be a useful person.
At that time Prince Claes saw Ryan who was sitting alone and seemed to be thinking about something. The prince came over.
"How are you?"
"Ah... Prince" said the surprised Ryan. Immediately, he stood up from his seat.
The prince sat down and invited Ryan to sit down while asking, "What are you doing here?"
"Oh... I'm just relaxing and looking around, prince. How about you, prince?"

"I was walking around and finally got here."
Ryan also saw the look on Claes' face which seemed to be full of thoughts and worries, "Hmmm... It doesn't seem like that. Let me guess it, you have many thoughts on your mind." Ryan said. "Ah. sorry if I'm presumptuous," he added.
"Hahaha... You can guess from the look on my face, huh?"
"Yes, like that. If you don't mind, you can tell me, perhaps it can relieve your heart. What are you worried about?"
Then the prince told his story and Ryan responded, "Ooooh... I see... It's ok, prince. I'm willing to do it. He-he... and I can go negotiate with the asuras." His voice sounded relaxed, but serious in his eyes.
Then Claes was startled and in a quite high tone, he replied, "How can you be so brave?"
If war can be stopped, why should we fight? And now that path is in sight, so I have to go as a mediator."
The prince saw his eyes full of conviction. He was also relieved that Ryan wasn't pressured, but behind that, he agreed with a heavy heart and he thought, "He deserves the title of knight. Not only is he brave, but he is also concerned with the safety of the people. That's his character. Instead of him refusing, he was happy to accept it."
In Ryan's mind, "This is my great opportunity to be able to contribute to this kingdom, especially to save the princess." His eyes lit up with enthusiasm and gladly accepted the task.
Claes was surprised to see Ryan's unexpected reaction, and he smiled at his excitement. When Prince Claes watched him closely, he also felt that the man in front of him was indeed cute. It made Claes blush.
Five days later, early in the morning, Ryan was dressed by the palace maids and he also wore a beautiful dress that made him look elegant. While Ryan was dressed like a royal princess, Claes headed to Princess Eudora's room and said, "Princess... Stay here for your safety. Sorry for the inconvenience."
Eudora shook her head, "It doesn't matter, prince, if it's best for me and this kingdom, I will be in my room."
********
"You look gorgeous," said the palace maid.
I looked in the mirror and muttered inwardly, "I can't believe what happen now. I'm so happy. Is this really me?"
"Sir, you have a very beautiful necklace."
"Ah... This is a legacy from my family."
"Not only beautiful but very valuable of course," said the other maid.
"That's right," replied me as I took it off from my neck.
"Ah... what's wrong, sir, why didn't you wear it?"
"I just want to keep it."
"In that case, you wear this necklace according to the dress," the maid offers me the other necklace.
Prince Claes then entered the dressing room. The maids bowed their heads in respect.
"Is it done?" asked the prince.
"Already done. We excuse ourselves first," said them.
When the maids had gone out, the prince approached Ryan. And what a surprise when the prince saw Ryan so stunningly like a royal princess. No one would have thought that he was a soldier. For a moment the prince was daydreaming, fascinated by him.
"Prince... prince... Am I weird dressed like this?"
"No... But you're amazing. You become a graceful princess."
Ryan blushed slightly.
"Your praise too much, prince," Ryan said while lowering his head.
Then the prince was about to put a veil on Ryan's face. At that time, they were so close, and their eyes met each other. For a moment, the prince was silent and looked at Ryan's face in detail, his eyes, nose, and lips. Ryan's heartbeat was fast as well as Claes's.
"It's hard to believe that this person is Ryan." thought Claes. Then Claes immediately snapped out of his daydream and tied the veil into Ryan's hair. After that, the prince stretched out his hand. Ryan was a little surprised as well as embarrassed, but he also placed his palm on Claes' palm. They walked together like a perfect couple. It was seen by Princess Eudora who from a distance sees their closeness as she thought, "It should I be there by the prince's side this time." Eudora was filled with jealousy.
Ryan also asked permission to return to his room. What does he want to do? Ryan took a small dagger and tucked it in his shoe just in case. Then he put his treasure, which is his necklace, in the drawer.
After that, they together headed to the hall where the celebration was held.
"Let's welcome Your Majesty to the throne, prince and princess."
Their arrival was greeted warmly by the invitees who were present at that time. They were whispering, "Why does the princess wear a veil?"
"Maybe she was embarrassed to see so many people."
"No... no... it's to make others less envious when they see her beauty."
"I came here to see the princess. It is deeply regretted."
"It could be that the prince doesn't want anyone else to see the beauty of the princess other than himself."
That's how people talk about it.
The prince asked Ryan to dance with him.
"Prince I can't dance," whispered Ryan.
"You just follow the rhythm of my feet."
Hesitantly, Ryan accepted the prince's offer. They both dance. At first, Ryan kept his head down in shame, but the prince said,
Ryan's feeling is like a wave. He thought, "Luckily I was wearing a veil. Maybe my face has turned red. But is this a dream? I didn't think so. I'm like a princess. Even if it's only temporary, I'll enjoy playing this role to the fullest."
I also accidentally stepped on the prince's feet. "Akh. Pardon me, prince."
"Does not matter."
In the prince's mind, "Sometimes his shyness makes him even cuter. I didn't think he could be this pretty. Wait. What am I thinking of this? He is a man. Keep it in your mind, Claes..." But the prince wished, "If only she was a lady..."
People who saw it said, "Wow... Woah... What a great couple!"
Dion's prediction was right, not long after the celebration was held, some soldiers reported that a dragon was roaring over this land. Not long after, they entered the palace. Leona attacked the prince until he fell. Then Leona drew her sword at the princess who was actually Ryan.
Thus, the prince recalled the incident. Now he and his troops will save Ryan. They keep going forward.
