《Alpha Marcellus》Chapter 9

It has been about a week since I overheard part of their conversation and I still haven't talked to Marcellus. We were supposed to go on a date that night but I left him a note saying to forget about it. All week he has been trying to get me to talk to him but I've been ignoring him. I tried to avoid him but everywhere I went he would follow me like a lost puppy. I knew that I would need to talk to him eventually but I just wasn't ready for that yet. Speaking of Marcellus he is following me again.
"Can you please stop following me around all the time?" I asked angerly turning around to face him.
"Will you tell me what I did to make you so mad at me? Please I just want to know." He begged me.
'Should I tell him?' I questioned my wolf.
You should. Maybe this was just a whole miss understanding.' Star replied. Making up my mind I told him what I heard.
"I overheard you and your friends in you office last week. You were talking about how you couldn't reject me even though you really wanted to and you think it has something to do with my family." I confessed. Just thinking about the rejection made my chest hurt and my eyes water.
"I did want to reject you." He said making my heart break. "But know that I got to somewhat know you I don't want to. I don't care if you are an omega anymore I've come to accept it. Even if we have only known each other for a short amount of time I fell in love with you. I fell in love with you the day that I saw you I just didn't want to accept it but I have now and I am telling you this. Please, Will you forgive me?" He loves me? How? Should I forgive him after what he thought about doing?
"Okay I will give you a chance to prove yourself. I will not take you back easily you have to earn back my trust and that is going to take a lot of work." I told him making his face light up. He came over to me wrapping me in a hug before picking me up and twirling me around.

"Thank you! You wont regret it!" He yelled happily. After he put me back down we both walked into the kitchen and started to eat some lunch. "I need to talk to you about what you overheard." He told me.
"Okay but can it wait until after we eat?" I ask not wanting to ruin the good mood that we were both in at the moment.
"Okay but as soon as we are done eating we will go to my office and talk about it." The rest of the time we ate was spent in silence. I didn't want to ruin the mood by talking about it but the mood was already ruined after he said we needed to talk about it. After we ate we went to his office.
"So you want to tell me what you guys were really talking about?" I asked softly trying not to get angry.
"I got a letter in the mail from the council." He hesitantly said.
"Okay, what did it say?" I asked hoping he will just tell me already. He walked behind his desk and grabbed a piece of paper and gave it to me.
"Here you read it yourself maybe it would make more sense for you." As I read the letter my eye filled with tears. Could they possibly be talking about Cameron and I? Was our mother really a part of the royal family?
"I need to tell you something." I told him after finishing the letter. I was finally going to tell him about the dream I had where mother told me wewerent her real children. "That day when I woke up screaming I had a dream. In it my mother told me that we weren't her biological children. She said that she couldn't have children and my father ended up getting his mistress pregnant. She didn't know that we were going to be twins. My father and biological mother made a deal they each get one of us. My father was going to get the boy and she was to get the girl, but when she was giving birth to us she died and so we both went to my father. She said the reason she treated me like she did was that I wasn't supposed to exist. She never told me why my father treated me like he did though. They both treated cameron like a normal child because he was next in line for alpha." By the end of it I was almost sobbing. I didnt know why they could treat me so differently when we both were from a woman that was not the mother we grew up with. How could they do that to me just because my 'mother' didn't know about me?

"If your brother is next in line for alpha but you were born first then you would have to be inheriting a different position. One that is probably more powerful than the alpha title. Do you think that there is any possibility that you are the last of the royal family?" Was there a possibility? From what the letter says to what my mother said are almost identical. Just one thing was confusing me. Who is the witch that is covering our scent?
"I think that there is a really good possibility that we are but one thing keeps bugging me. Who is the witch masking our sent?" I asked him.
"It had to be someone close to you and that you would see almost everyday." He said. There was only 3 people that I say every single day. Cameron, father, and mother. No, it couldn't be.
"Do you think that it could be my mother? When you seen her did you notice something different about her scent?" I had always thought that my scenes weren't as good because when ever she was around me I would get a whiff of something else that wasn't wolf.
"Now that you mention it there was something different I just couldn't tell what was different. I think that she could be half wolf half witch, but if she was the one that is blocking your scent then she would have to be close by because your scent is still blocked." I never thought about the last part. "So its either that your not the last of the royal family or she is close by."
"Should I call cameron and see if she is there just to make sure?" He nodded handing me his phone since mine was in my room. Dialing Camerons number was a little difficult because my hands were shaking. He answered on the second rings.
"Hey sis, what's up?" He said into the phone.
"Im just checking in. Is mom or dad there?" I asked trying not to be suspicious.
"No dads been in and out of his office since you left and mom hasn't been home since you left. I don't know whats up with her." He said confirming our suspicion.
"Okay well I have to go I just wanted to see if everything was going okay there. Call me if there is ever a problem." I said hanging up. I turned to look at Marcell who looked like he was mind linking someone.
"Okay I just told my pack to keep an eye out for her and if they do see her don't do anything but contact me immediately. I also have to call the council to come and talk to us." He said before pulling me into a hug. "Just so you know when you over heard that conversation last week I finally figured out why I couldn't reject you. It wasn't because your powerful but it was because from the minute I laid eyes on you I fell in love with you. I was just tying to push the fellings away." Did he just say that he loves me?
"I think I fell in love with you too." I said before kissing him.
