"Will you paint me like them one day?"
"Of course! Your beauty reached beyond those weird women that come in to get painted."
That wasn't what I meant...why did it come to this..? Edgar....I'm so sorry if I did anything wrong...
"Oi _______ where did you go?" I hear my brother calling out my name as I hide around our decently sized mansion. Our father worked very hard for us to live a comfortable life and we're grateful for his works. "Are you...over here?!" I hear the disappointment coming out of his voice as he closed the cabinet. I try and contain my laughter as I see his boots walk around on the floor, no one will find a person hiding under a bunch of shoeboxes and clothes in a closet right? I see his shoes stop outside of the closet, from my peephole I stop my giggles and hold my breath as he opened the doors. My brother glanced inside for 2 seconds before stopping his movements. "Alrightttt, I give up- sike!!" He yells out pulling me out of my pile of clothes and shoving myself into his body for a tight hug.
"L-Luca let me go-!" I yell out as he tightened his hold.
"How about no?" He said as he stood up carrying me back to my room. "You know you have to stay in bed right now right? I don't want you getting worse."
"I know...I just wanted to have some fun before the medicine..." I wrapped my arms around his neck as he held my up tightly.
"I know, but there's a limit to how much your body can handle right now. It's best to rest more." Luca opened the doors to my room and placed me down on my bed gently, he walked around grabbing everything he needed. "I heard Edgar might come over later this afternoon, you guys can have some fun in the garden if, and only if you stay in your wheelchair." Luca sat down beside my grabbing my arm looking for the vein, he gently pushed the needle to my IV in as a wince a bit.
"Really? Edgar's coming over?" I beam at my brothers words, he gave me a glass of water with his other hand with 3 pills, I quickly chug it down to avoid coughing.
"Why? You don't want him to come over now??" His voice had a tease to it and I gently slapped his shoulder in response. "I've been hit! Oh my god I'm going to die!" Luca held a hand up to his forehead as he fell backwards onto my bed.
"Luca!! Stop being a bully!" I push at him again as he laid there pretending to be dead, you would think a man that's 19 would have more maturity in him.
"Alright alright I'll stop." The brunette sat back up, hand resting on the top of my head. "I love you sis."
"I love you too Luca." He gave me a side hug telling me to take a nap before leaving, the doors closing left me in silence alone again. I sigh loudly as I slide back into bed, trying my best to not have any discomfort with the needle in my arm.
And eventually I passed out.
꧁ꕥ꧂
I woke up after who knows how long, I slowly sit myself up to see my arm isn't pierced anymore thankfully. Turning my head around I see the mop of hazel brown hair tied up sitting by the window, a large easel with a canvas sat in front of him, a cart full of paint and brushes to his right.

"Nice to know you're finally awake." He called out of no where.
"Eh..?! Well I'm sorry! How long has it been since you came in my room?!" I blurt out crossing my arms.
"3 hours. Your brother kept on annoying me while I was in the lounge room so I left." Edgar continued painting.
"He's not annoying just...eccentric! Luca's really smart yknow?"
"I could care less he's annoying in my eyes." Edgar stopped painting to stand up, he threw his supplies back onto his cart. A large bucket of red paint was standing there surrounded by smaller tubes of other colors, that's when I noticed his painting was mostly red unlike his other ones.
"Are you trying something new?" I ask as I walk over, the paint itself looked a bit too...liquid, perhaps the paint he bought was just bad?
"You could say. Say, how about my next master piece will be you? I need inspiration and every women who comes in to get painted are all snobby. They talk and snort like the pigs they are."
"Don't be so mean Edgar! Some people just think...too highly of themselves."
"And they shouldnt. Come one you want to yes? We can go back to my house so it's easier to paint."
"Ah, I don't know if Luca or father will be happy if I left the house..." I held my hands together glancing away from his gaze.
"Come onnnnn, it's not that bad. Plus it's only for a few hours we can sneak you in and out!" The brunette insisted clasping my hands.
"Edgar...I don't know...this doesn't seem right..."
"Ugh, I knew you would say that. Thankfully I got plan B with me right now."
"Plan B-?" I felt a cloth get shoved into my face, as I try to get out of its grip, my senses have slowly diminished as I pass out cold on my bed.
,꧁ꕥ꧂
It was cold and slight damp where I was, I opened my eyes to see a dark room, sitting up, I realized the kind of situation I was in. My wrists were cuffed to chains that were connected to the bed posts. Confusion ram through my body as I rattle the bindings around. Glancing around, I noticed a chair not far from the bed, straps attached to it with a empty IV drip bottle right next to it.
"Oh goodie! You're awake!" My head turned over to see Edgar walking through a barely visible door holding a tray full of food...and other things.
"E-Edgar..?"
"You've been out twice the time I thought it would take, I Assumed you were dead if I didn't check you're pulse." The brunette said placing the tray on the bedside, a plate full of some potatoes, beans, some meat and bread.
"E-Edgar, what's going on? Why am I here?" I ask in confusion as he grabbed a fork to pick up some food.
"You see ______, I like you. Really like you, and I want to make you my next masterpiece. But...painting with regular paints is getting boring. So the gods have given me the idea to use blood! And You're here to be my muse and supply that!" The man said shoving the food in my mouth. I quickly chewed it and swallowed as I began to cough.
"Y-you kidnapped m-me? Edgar this is sick! Luca is going to realize I'm gone-"
"He's already out of the picture."
"H-huh..?"

"Luca balsa is no longer a normal citizen. He's sitting in prison rotting away for keeping you away from me."
"W-what did you do..?!"
"I orchestrated a plan earlier tonight, Luca Balsa is in prison for first degree murder~" I stopped moving at that point, my brother was falsely accused and locked in jail for no reason. "Don't worry about it babe, it's just you and me from now on." Edgar placed a hand on my cheek pulling me in for a kiss. Quickly I shoved him away, scared for my life.
"I'm disappointed ________. I'm letting you live a luxury life with me and this is how you treat me?" The painter held a hand over his heart with a broken expression on his face. Edgar quickly pulled out a pair of keys right out of his pocket to unlock my cuffs. His hands were quick to grip onto my wrists dragging me out of the bed. I start struggling and screaming at him to pull away, but my weak and fragile body wouldn't allow it. Edgar threw me into the chair and was quick to strap my body in, the tight bindings held my limbs in place. My right arm positioned differently in confusion.
"I'm sorry dear, I was going to wait until you finished eating but for defying me, we're going to start earlier then expected." Edgar took a small sharp needle from the tray on the side, flicking it a few times before pulling my arm out. "It'll only hurt for a second." He said quietly pricking my skin, punctuating into the vein. Immediately, my blood started to get drawn out. The red liquid flowing from my body into the empty IV bag dangling.
"Well! I'll leave you here for a hour! I'll be back some my angel~" Edgar kisses my cheek before almost skipping away. Tears silently slide down my face as I accept the fate I'm in. The coldness in the room dinked into my bones as time went on, the blood being draw slowly causing me to pass out.
꧁ꕥ꧂
"My my, I didn't think you would be like this? It's only day 3..."
"E-Edgar p-please...I need my medication..."
"You can handle it sweetie." The painter held my face up with the end of his paintbrush, my vision going blurry.
"Edgar...I can barely see...please just make it stop..." I barely wheezed out.
"Why do you need meds anyways? Last time I checked, humans don't need pills to survive." The brunette dipped his brush in the small jar of red paint.
"Edgar please-" my vision started to black out as the minutes went by.
"And viola! My newest master piece _______!"
꧁ꕥ꧂
Edgar was quick to turn his easel around to show his lover what he had created, but the sight in front of him wasn't fun. ________'s head was slumped downwards, her bangs fallen out of place.
"________?" The brunette walked forward to lift her head. Her eyes were closed and there was no sign of breathing. "How tragic, I finally got myself a lover and she died 3 days living with me. What a pity." The painter began to clean up his station, readying for his trip to the manor.
꧁ꕥ꧂
"Have you heard? A new hunter is arriving tonight..."
"Already? But Galatea just arrived not even 2 weeks ago!"
"I heard it's someone important to some people here, perhaps a family member?"
Luca's brain burned all of the whispers of people around him. He was sitting in the waiting room glaring at Edgar hard. The mercenary and prospector sat between the two knowing full well that Luca and Edgar do not get along. Not many of the survivors really knew what happened, just glimpses of the story about a sister or lover.
"We're going against the new hunter aren't we Naib?" Norton blurted out of no where trying to ease the tension.
"Probably."
The glass shattered as everyone was transported to the map: Sacred Heart Hospital.
Luca was quick to go hide somewhere, often well aware hunters spawn near him a lot. For the next 20 seconds he set up a connection to a cipher in the hospital to another one someone was decoding in the shack. Taking a slow walk into the building, the inventor quickly realized his heartbeat was on. Hiding in the bathroom, Luca stood there for a good minute before realizing the hunter isn't moving. Stepping out of his hiding spot, he walked upstairs to the operating room. A figure crouched in the corner on the floor by the bed was snuffling. Tears and sniffles were heard as the inventor approached them closer. A IV drip was attached to their arm, what appeared to be blood inside. Luca slide down beside the hunter, grabbing her arms gently removing them from her face revealing her face.
"_-_____...?" The brunette gasped out in disbelief. Bandages wrapped around her right eye and head, tear tracks lined her face for what might be hours of crying.
"L-Luca..?!" The hunter quickly latched herself onto the prisoner. Grabbing him tightly as possible.
"W-what happened?! Why are you the hunter? How did you die?!" Tears burst out of both of them as time passed. 1 cipher remaining.
"I-it w-was-"
"Oi dingbat! Are you in here?!" A high pitched voice screamed out loud. "You haven't decoded at all this match come on! Helmet man and hoodie already got the last one primed-"
"You..." Luca had his arms wrapped around the hunter, his mind putting two and two together realizing what happened.
"N-no...don't tell me...you were the ONE THAT KILLED HER?!" The prisoner screamed out loud grabbing Edgar by his shirt shaking him back and fourth.
"Kill her? Of course not! She died from not being able to live without you for some stupid reason!"
"Why you-" Luca quickly pulled a fist back and punched Edgar in the face. Shock filled the room as the prisoner stood there panting loudly.
"I knew something wasn't right when I asked you the first time. Now look at this, my own sister is stuck here with us! She should've lived a normal life back home and not stuck in limbo with us in this never ending shit!" Luca was bashing the painter more and more until Norton pulled him off. "Let me at him! He's the reason she died!"
"What the fuck guys?! We're suppose to be a team here!" Norton screamed out pulling Luca further back.
"He killed her! He killed my sister!" Luca was punching the air trying to get out of the prospectors grip to no avail.
"Sister..?" Norton stopped walking for a moment to see the hunter cowering in the corner.
"I hate you Edgar." She said standing up using her IV drip as a walking cane. A single sharp palette knife held in her hands. "I wish you were never born." A sharp hit sounded the room as the hunter plunged her weapon into his chest, the painter was incapacitated and bled to death not much later.
"That's not going to kill him hon." The prospector said quietly.
"I just want him to pay for what he did to me..."

The Blood Queen
The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him.
