《Can love burn out? (Kai x reader){Completed}》14: Mother

It was rather unpleasant to have tiny stone warrior figures pulling on your skin all the time. As they pulled on my skin I crushed some with my feet and my staff.
"Alright now that's done, what are we gonna do?" I asked walking with the others outside to find my uncle with a female with archeologist clothes, grey hair braided and wearing glasses.
"Uh, students, this is Misako, Lloyd and Y/N's mother."
"My mother?" We said in sync.
"Look at you two, you've grown so much!" Mom came over and attempted to hug us both, only I accepted it sadly.
"Well it's been a long time!" Lloyd snapped. I turned him around to face my eyes as he starred. I quickly raised my hand and patted his cheek.
"Come on its mom, at least she's here right bro?"
"Not after abandoning you and ditching me at darkly's." He said pissed walking off.
"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon!" I yelled chasing him into a room with a giant hole in it. "Seriously are you just mad mom abandoned us for most of our lives?"
"Of course! Why would a mother of 2 kids! 2 kids! Just leave them with someone else to take care of while our dad is in the underworld!"
I slapped him.
"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon. We are the kids of Lord Garmadon, grand kids of the first spinjizstu Master, your the destined green ninja and I'm the destined purple ninja to help and aid in your journey. The world rests on our shoulders, and it's our job to protect it. No matter what we went through. We're always going to be there for each other."
He looked like he was going to cry.
"I'm sorry sis." I buried his head into my chest letting him cry for a while.
"Everyone cries at one point Lloyd. Don't feel bad." I pat his back as we sat at the edge of the bottomless pit.
"I would watch your step, that sinkhole doesn't have a bottom. It's where I found the ancient stone warrior." Mom said walking in.
"Ah, 'son'? You've been gone my whole life! There's nothing you could say." Lloyd said with a small glare.
"Well I'm going to talk anyway. You wanna know what I've been doing all this time? Long before Sensei Wu ever knew who would be the green ninja, I knew it would be you Lloyd. And I knew your going to eventually fight your father. I dropped you at the boarding school and left ____ at another school so I could go learn everything I could about the prophecy, in hope of one day preventing the final battle of good and evil. All this time kids, I've been trying to save you and your father. Lon before time had a name, ninjago was created by the first spinjitzu master-"

"Yeah yeah. We've heard this story a hundred times." Lloyd butted in on moms long ass speech. I slapped the back of his head while he starred at me.
"But you've only heard half of it. In Ninjago, there has always been balance between good and evil. So you know about the first spinjitsu master created Ninjago, but what if I tell you in order for there to be light, there must be shadow, and within shadow, there is darkness. The blackest of darkness that existed from the very beginning. An evil spirit called 'the overlord'."
"Did yo know about this Sensei?" Zane asked out of pure curiosity.
"I had hoped if I'd kept the secret, his name would never be spoken again."
Mom continued on the the story as Lloyd leaned onto my shoulder. "The balance was at stake and the battle could have gone on for eternity. Each side powerful, neither could conquer the other until the overlord created his indestructible warriors: the stone army. The spinjitzu master did what he could, but he knew he would be soon defeated. So instead of losing the war, he divided Ninjago in two. And lucky for us, since then there has been no trace of the overlord or his stone army until my recent discovery."
"So that's why the battle has yet to be decided, it was never finished in the first place." I answered some confusion among the group.
"But where is this dark island? I never heard of it." Cole asked.
"Disappeared, I presume. But the legend states that so long as the balance between good and evil remains even, the overlord shall remain trapped from this world. I have always feared for your fathers ambition will ultimately lead to a shift in the balance. That is why he must be stopped."
Okay how long is mom gonna talk Jesus.
"Leaving you both was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But facing with saving you and the world, I had no other choice."
We both nodded understanding the reason to our both parentless childhood.
"Had you discovered a way to prevent me from facing father?" Lloyd asked desperately.
"I'm sorry. Not yet at least. But I have reason to believe there's still hope." Mom finished and gasped out loud all of a sudden. We all turned around to see a stone warrior that's thrice the size of me yelling out strange things.

"WOAHHHHH will somebody please tell me WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!?" Jay screamed like a little baby.
"The stone warrior."
"Great someone come here and fucking kill me." I groaned.
"Kai go take care of him." Cole groaned along with me. Kai ran up to the warrior and attempted to swing his sword. I sat there starring at how stupid he could be because his sword broken right in contact. After Kai mumbling something to himself, his foot got picked up and was held upside down by the warrior.
"Kai!"I yelled out as he was thrown behind the tall asshole landing on some pottery.
Lloyd put his hands together forming his powers blasting the warrior off of its feet and we cheered thinking it was dead until we heard some indeable (words.
The others tracked as best as they can while I'm standing here with my family starring off on why are they are so stupid sometimes. When Jay began to do stupid things again, he slid away almost into the pit. I quickly ran over and pulled him up.
During the fight the managed to pick all of us up and threw us outside to where Kai was.
"Good thing we're in a museum." Jay started.
"Why that zaptrap?" I yelled out loud.
"Cause we're all about to be history!" Fuck Jay and his horrible puns. "RUNNNNN!!!!!!"
We ran and ran around the museum back and fourth trying to get him off of our track. We ended up in a room locking the doors and panicked about what to be next.
"I have a plan, but I need you guys to distract it until I call alright? Sis your coming with me." Lloyd said to the group.
"Let's give the kid a shot." Cole said. I quickly kissed Kai on the lips and left with Lloyd to the vents.
"Be careful kids, and good luck." Mom said.
"Thanks mom." We said in sync again, man we really are twins.
"Hey Lloyd you finally called misako mom this time." I said proud of my little brother.
"Sh-shut up." I can tell he's blushing.
"What's the plan greenie?"
"That sinkhole, we're gonna cover it up and bring the stone warrior to fall in it and it's dead. Boom." He said as we took a turned right and ended up in the sinkhole hallway.
We quickly grabbed some paint and paper and made a false mandatory floor. Lloyd went to call for the stone warrior while I stood at the very end of the hallway as bait if it comes in.
I heard the indecipherable moaning and saw Lloyd jump in with mom.
"Hey loser! Paper beats rock!" I yelled as it began to run towards me. When Lloyd heard the signal he pulled mom out of the way as the warrior sunk into the bottomless pit. We gave each other a family hug and I faintly cry.
"I'm so proud of you two, I feel like the balance has brought us together again." Both Lloyd and I smiled at mother.
"Good to be together right?" Said to them.
"Of course." Lloyd said closing his eyes smiling. I took this chance and put him into a headlock giving him nuggies.
"StoP!" He yelled.
"THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FROM LAST TIME!" I yelled moving my knuckles faster. The others in the room bursted out in laughter.

I say in my room causally reading due to boredom until there was a knock at my door. I walked over opening the door to see Kai.
"What's up hothead?"
"Can I come in?"
"Go ahead your princessness." I bowed opening the doors gap.
"Thank you very much servant ____" Kai said walking towards my bed sitting on the edge patting his lap.
I quickly closed and locked the door sitting on kai's lap facing his chest.
"So what do you want?" I asked gliding my fingers along his 6 pack.
"This." He said and lifted up my chin pulling to into a heated kiss holding my waist and head. I kissed back holding his cheeks wrapping my legs around his Waist.
We let go due to lack of oxygen and starred at each other our faces red.
"I love you Kai." I said pushing him down onto the soft mattress in my room and Leaned on his chest.
"Love you too ____"

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
