《Can love burn out? (Kai x reader){Completed}》06: Full Potential

I was dazing out to the middle of nowhere on the bounty constantly thinking about Lloyd. Training, nope, staying with Kai, nope. Nothing's helping, even if they try, I'm just always zoning out to the distance.
I saw the others complaining about Zane's inhuman. Running around about destroying a record.
"Hey guys..." I walked towards them with a small smile on my face.
"Phoenix you okay? You and Sensei were dazing off for days." Kai's voice had concern in it.
"It's just Lloyd, but I'm kinda getting over it, I know we'll get him back...right?" I searched for an answer in his deep emerald eyes.
"Of course we will Phoenix, I don't want to live with a little depressed ninja for the rest of my life. I love you too much too care." He kissed my forehead and patted underneath my ponytail.
"You know, we've been training for so long, I don't think we can get any better!" Jay screamed out.
"Think twice Jay, just because you can do some things regular people can't do doesn't mean your don't training." I pointed to the bluebelle.
"What? Fine!" He sprinted towards Sensei's room.
"Might as well go there." I say pulling Kai by the hand carefully.
The others began rambling on and on about doing 1000 and 1001 push ups. When we got to Sensei's room I bowed down along with the rest. Eventually it led to uncle talking about...dad, how dad turned evil from that stupid snake.
We said goodbye to him, with no knowledge of his whereabouts while we placed posters about the fang blade everywhere in jamanikai village. I was placing a poster against a wall nearby an alleyway to see Zane wondering off in front of a store.

"Hey! Your littering all over my shop!" A storekeeper yelled out.
"Sorry, our friends in another world sometimes." I apologized.
"Zane! What are you doing!?" Kai asked and yelled at him. Zane slowly lifted up his arm to point at the falcon.
"Maybe it could lead us to the first fang blade!" Jay squealed.
"Who knows, all I know is that this bird gives us fortunes every time we see him."
"Okay then lets go.
"
~~~
Running.
Running is all we've been doing.
"Oh for fucks sake why are we running so much!?" I yelled.
"Following the falcon?" Kai said panting as much as I was.
"How *pants* does Zane keep *pant* keep his cardio so high?" I asked holding onto my knees.
"I honestly don't know. He's just physically fit I guess." He replied helping me stand up.
"Zane we'll catch up in a moment!" Kai yelled out. The others were already out and took a rest way before us.
"Even after all that training for years, I still can't run for over 300 miles straight." I complained.
"Let's go, you ready?"
"Yea hold on just a few more breathes. Okay I'm ready. Let's go." I ran off following the footprints Zane left.
~~~
"Hey Zane?" I asked peaking into the secret lair in the tree.
I saw him standing, facing us with a blank stare slowly reaching for something on his chest.
"Hey Zane what are yo-" Jay started.
We all screamed for one second when he opened his chest.
"I'm...a robot. The reason why I never had a sense of humor was because my funny switch wasn't on." He clicked a button and started singing.
"Hello my baby, hello my baby,

Send me a kiss by a wire." He did some funny dance moves. And stopped the switch and fell on his knees. Jay!was laughing the entire time at the song but I slapped him.
"Look Zane. Even if your a robot, your still our friend. Even better our brother." Kai said motioning a hug, but no response.
"I need some time alone." He said.
"Come on guys, he needs some time." I stated to climb up the stairs to go outside.
"Beware of treehorns. What are treehorns?" Jay asked reading the sign.
"Hey did anyone see that?!?" Cole yelled.
"See what?!?" Jay yelled back.
"I DON'T SEE ANYTHING" Kai yelled as well.
"LOOK OUT, TREEHORNS ARE MOVING TREE MONSTERS" I blasted a moving leg twitching towards us. The others pulled out their weapons and started to smack the giant tree legs.
"AAAAH!" I yelled being pushed down onto the snow getting stepped on.
'I now know what's it like being a bug'

4 legs were crushing me along with the others.
"Do not hurt my friends!" Zane came it spinjitzsuing the legs away. I lifted my head to stand up and join him along with the rest back up to each other.
"Now what?" Jay asked.
"Aim for the legs. They can't stand up again!" Zane yelled.
Spinjitzsuing through some legs a loud growl came out. I turned around to see a larger then normal treehorn come up.
"Great who's that?" I groaned.
"The queen." Zane hissed. "You will not hurt my friends!"
I ra up to the others gazing at Zane's beam in the sky.
"Woah-oh-oh! That's so cool!" Jay gleamed.
"He's found his true potential..." the words came out of my mouth unexpectedly.
Zane froze all the treehorns and landed on his back onto the snow.
"ZANE!" I yelled running towards him.
I pulled him to to have him asking.
"What happened?"
"YOU FOUND YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL OMG THAT WAS SO COOL, I WONDER HOW MINE WOULD LOOK LIKE. YOU WERE ALL WHOOSH AND SWOOP AND AWESOME!" Jay cheered and earned a kick in the back from me faceplanting into the ground.
"Wait till you get your own dragon." I groaned.
"Don't we already have one?"
"It left remember."
"Right..."
"Let's go home, I don't wanna be stranded in the middle of the forest in the middle of the night." I pulled out a tiny radio contacting Nya to get us since we're beat. Literally.

And Lloyd from Shadow of ronin.

Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.
