I was just cleaning up from breakfast when Michael came running inside the house.

"I got a new pet"!

He squealed, and giggled like an excited child.

"Cool, what is it"?

It was a baby boa constrictor, and it was wrapped comfortably around Michael's shoulders.

"He's kinda cute".

I grinned, gently stroking the snake's belly with two fingers.

"Uh huh...I love it so much".

We walked outside the greenhouse where the temperature had been set just right for the king of pop's new pet.

"He'll need a bigger cage when he gets bigger.

I told Michael.

"Yeah, the vet said that to me when I took him to get his vaccinations and legal documents".

But my cat Cinnamon didn't like Muscles very much.

As the snake coiled itself around my shoulders, the feline hissed and tried to pounce on the small reptile.

"Aaah"! "No, don't hurt my new pet Cinnamon"!

Michael tried to grab ahold of her, but he wasn't fast enough.

I moved out of the way, and then I realized something.

"I think she doesn't like Muscles because he poses a threat to her, and maybe she's trying to protect me".

Michael took Muscles and out him in his cage.

He fed him a mouse and the snake swallowed it whole.

"That's disgusting"!

I made a face and then we both laughed.
