Michael shrugged, "I dunno... So you're really from the future??" He asked.
You nodded, "Yep... Wait, I have an idea!!"
You took your cell phone out of your pocket. He stared at it like it was an other worldly device that will destroy the world.
"Crap.. No signal.. Of course, Verizon isn't around yet." You reminded yourself that you were in 1982. You looked at Michael. "Oh, this is a phone by the way."
He shook his head, "Nu uh.. There isn't a cord. That thing is a machine to destroy earth." He chuckled.
"Uh... Look," You scooted over to him and showed him the phone, "See, this is a phone, but you can do more than just call. I don't wanna ruin the future though so I'll shut up now." You giggled. He laughed.
He looked you in the eyes, "Your eyes are pretty." He said out of the blue.
You blushed lightly. "Thanks. Ya know, I'm actually a fan of yours."
His face lit up, "Really? Cool! A fan from the future! Is my career gonna be awesome?" He asked eagerly.
"Um... I can't answer that." You looked around nervously.
He frowned a little, "Oh.. Right.."
You looked at him, "I will tell you that your fan base is gonna be crazy. Which is a good sign."
He smiled, "Really? How neat! So... You don't have a place to stay do you?"
You shook your head. You couldn't think of anywhere to go, and you had no clue of when you would get back.
"Um... Can I stay with you? Just until I go back." You asked hopefully.
He nodded, "Sure, my family will love to have you! But, you will need to go shopping with my sisters or something. Cause future clothes won't work if you don't want people knowing where you're from."

He had a point. People would get suspicious, "Do you promise not to tell anyone where I'm from?"
"I promise. Pinky promise!" He linked his pinky with yours and smiled, almost maing you melt on the spot.

"C'mon, lunch is probably ready by now." He said and stood up, offering his hand to help you up. You took it and started to stand. The instant contact gave you butterflies.
You botb ran to the house and went in. He showed you your room, then led you back to the family room, introducing you to everyone.
They were all so nice and welcoming. Except Joe. He was a butt of course.
"Who are you?" He asked coldly.
"Um.. I'm Y/N." I said quietly. He rolled his eyes.
"Where are you from then?" He asked crossing his arms.
Shit.. "Uh.........."
"Virginia!! She's from Virginia." Michael answered for you as he walked up beside you.
"What brings you to California?" La Toya asked kindly.
"She.... Is an old friend of... Quincy Jones! Yea. He uh.. Has known her since she was little. He sent her to meet me." He looked at you like 'Well-play-along'.
"Yea! I'm gonna be here until he calls me to go back to Virginia, cause I have a talent show coming up, and he is gonna help me with it." You said.
"Hmph. Well don't get in the way of my boy's career." Joe said sternly then walked off.
You breathed a sigh of relief, not knowing how you came up with that so quickly.
God I hate lying...
"Hey La Toya, do you have clothes she could borrow? She lost her luggage at the airport." Michael said to his sister.
She nodded, "I'll go get some and put them in your room." She walked off.
"Thanks Mike." You said and without thinking hugged him tightly, and to your surprise he hugged back.
"You're welcome," He whispered, "Anything for a friend." He smiled.
"Friend?" You asked with a smile. He nodded and let you go as a blush krept up your cheeks.
"Um.. Lunch?" He said as he held his hand out.
"Sure, I'm starving!" You laughed and grabbed his hand.
I hope they don't get me back for awhile...
